Even though you're a pixel fan & a bit biased towards it, you're stating all the downsides of pixel. Because of that, your videos seems fair compared to some others. Do these more. 😊😊😊
That's what a proper review is. Not fanboing like what most reviewers do! Love this dude
Stop it
@@pranavdupati9164well of course 🤣 they get sponsored, paid or free devices for reviews. Too much bad mouthing won't be beneficial to reviewers themselves
why? can't handle Pixel praise?@@griffielliott279
@jasonsoo6138 wish I did lol I'd love to get a free google products
You can trick "Best take" to work with pictures taken from different phones if you move them into the camera folder! This phone is crazy useful and fun to use.
I owned the S23U but decided to give it to my father-in-law since on my P8P was allowed 5G, VoWiFi and VoLTE in my region. In the meantime I have also purchased iPhone 15 Pro Max to give a try. But I just can't go back to Apple devices in past couple months. I find them "dumb" and boring. Only potential reason to switch from my P8P might be upcoming S24U, but considering the fact that Samsung is not able to resolve issue around shutter lag I am not very optimistic. I love AI features on my P8P. I just every functionality it offers such as screen calling etc. would work everywhere. Hell, P8P is not even sold in my country, I had to travel to neighboring country to get it. But I am glad I did.
Your reviews are always great, please, stay true always.
Love this channel for real. Always to the point, unbiased and detailed reviews.
The Pixel 8 Pro was my first non Samsung phone since I used HTC going back years.
I was a little hesitant before purchasing it as I'd always wanted a Pixel but never felt they were good enough to stand up to a Samsung Galaxy, especially as I had a Note 20 Ultra. After a few initial confusions over the phone I don't regret it one bit now. I love it and don't miss the many many extra features of the Note over this. I never used half the stuff on that phone anyway.
It reminds me of the days I used to put custom roms on my HTCs. Everything is just so bloat free too.
There are some weird decisions that.google have taken in functionality which you can only get with other manufacturers software on top but all in all an awesome phone. And being into my photography I love the cameras. They just take photos that seem more natural.
Wait a year and then curious what you think. Pixel 7 pro owner here
You must be remembering the display quality of the galaxy note 20 ultra.
Gonna wait for pixel 9 pro
Another brilliant review. This is a tech channel I can rely on to cover all bases when it comes to phones. Massive fan - thank you.
Loved your review!!
I agree with your points. Thanks!! I shared this vid a few times already with my tech group chats
Stay safe, friend! Happy New Year!
On the camera side, by far my most used feature is the best take followed by the magic editor.
I'm not that impressed with the night boost feature. If you enable 10-bit HDR the night videos are more or less on power with the night boost. So it's not worth the hassle of waiting for the video to upload and download after a couple of hours.
However, I would say that in ultra low light situations the night boost does really help.
I love watching your uploads .Great video as always 👍
As MKBHD stated, it all gets fixed in the post.
Great review. Really informative and straightforward. I'm thinking of upgrading to Pixel 8 Pro from my Razr flip phone. I will miss the clamshell element, but flip phone cameras aren't quite good enough yet.
hey emad! great video. just had a little bit of feedback to offer, watching the video comparison samples was difficult due to the pacing and because they were all side by side.
Amazing reviews man. I love your voice overs and editing simplistic yet very appealing.
Great video, the bit where you pointed out the location of proximity sensor will help buyers a lot. You can put phone's specifications aside and calling experience on the other. It is a dealbreaker for those who take calls on the phone and don't use handsfree much.
Also Google making a cloud based video boost service limited to Pixel 8 Pro is the foolest thing ever.
This channel is so underrated!
Where did you get the protector for the visor? On Amazon I can't find any except the glass cover for the lenses..
I love the PIXEL, it's my dream phone. Because I know that it is one time investment and I can use it easily for around 6+ years as they promise 7 year updates. And even if updates are not supported I can still install a wide variety of custom roms on it and doing that will prevent the phone from getting old ever...
Currently using REDMI Y2, bought it in 2018 and using it with android 13 and custom rom lineage. I have no issues because using google camera for photo and video, just a little performance limitation due to old snapdragon 625 processor.
..I can’t see the tensor g3 lasting 3-4 years, let alone 7! What do you think it will seriously last 7 years?
@@MudPigChaser of course it will last more than 3-4 years, I mean hardware never gets old it's just the software
I've been using a snapdragon 625 for more than 5 years and can still perform tasks like playing simple games and using apps with good battery. Btw my current phone is a budget 100$ (rs.10000) phone I bought in 2018 so using it more than 5 years and is still running like butter. Even my friends ask looking at software "hey what phone u have" :)
So simple answer yes the pixel can last more than 5 years easily without any rooting or custom rom....
Is the glas on the camera lenses , scratch resistant?? Cant find anything about it. Since the camera's are the main reason to buy pixels, its important to know. Thx for any thoughts ✌️
I love this channel. Best tech channel for sure
Got the 5 looking at getting the 8. This has helped 🤙🏻
Hey man, amazing video. I have one question, where di you bought the camera protector ?
I can't wait to see your Galaxy S24 Ultra camera review. Samsung's Nightography Zoom feature is going to blow your mind
This is one of the best reviews I have seen!
Thank you for this great video. Where can I get this matte skin for the camera bump? Does it cover the lenses?
Great review. Appreciate your content.
Great video as usual. Can you please share a link to the camera bar transparent skin?
Loving this channel
Great brother unbiased video ❤❤❤
Keep making quality content, brother
Nicely done 👍🏼, what's is the case maker of that blueish case alongside the #P8P?
Thanks man 😊
Looks good. It really does. Won't make me switch to Pixel just yet but it's becoming a serious contender.
Thanks for the honest review. It seems you are based in the UAE. Is 5G working properly?
I’m still on the P6P but am unable to receive 5G in the UAE.
Thanks in advance!
i really wish they allowed some pixel exclusive features globally espcially CALL Screen :(
Time to root hehe
@@pranavdupati9164 haha even with root it's complicated and doesn't always work.
@@pranavdupati9164 i rooted just because i need that lol
@@pranavdupati9164 Root won't give call screen the capability to work in other languages, since they aren't coded in. Plus I bet people like their warranty.
Don't worry it's coming to India soon.
Can you please do a one-year-later video about the Pixel 7 Pro too? Want to know if it got better or worse over time 😊
Good job!
Great review. When you switch from app to app, do the feeds in the apps refresh? For example, you're in Instagram and you get a text so you go to the messages app to text, then you come back to Instagram the feed refreshes and sends you all the way back to the top, not where you left off. The Pixels are the only phones I've ever had that this happens and I'm wondering if the 8 Pro does the same. Thanks!
I have an 8 Pro but also a Xiaomi 13 Ultra, my 8 Pro is not as fluid as the Xiaomi and always has jerks/stutters in animations and scrolling from the start despite the updates. The camera is still excellent with this typical rendering and natural colors but it shows its limits in certain conditions compared to 1 inch sensors and the X5 optical zoom is hit or miss, I too often have blurred/mushy details especially with landscapes (and this since the 7 Pro)...And I'm still waiting for the "zoom enhance" function announced by Google for the end of the year 😏 Despite all that, it remains a pleasant smartphone for its qualities but for me it is a little too disappointing, especially since the price has also increased. Thank you for your always pleasant and detailed review.
My S23 has frame skipping especially with gboard. Strange what u write cause people say 8 is buttery smooth
@@michalksi2377 this is unfortunately true. it's as if it wasn't optimized for certain apps, including some from Google! My Xiaomi 13 ultra is not perfect but is much smoother in places where my P8P is not
I noticed as well that edge blur is diminished when adding background blur in post, paradoxically, which makes me hope that this is a software issue that can be fixed.
Hi would you recommend this phone I'll be coming from a one plus 10 pro will I notice any difference between the two
YES!!!!! we exactly need a tech channel who reviews not only new phones but also that particular phone after +1+2 years while comparing the new released models and the old ones, so that people can see the longevity, consistency or decreased performance of the device coz not all individuals can purchase the newest product and can only get their hands on them after few years of release.
Where did you get the protector for the camera?

استاذ عماد هناك مشاكل في التحويل بين لقطات الفيديو اظن انك تستعمل premiere composer لدي المشكلة نفسها ولا اعرف حلها.
Mr Emad there is some problems with transitions, i think you are using premiere composer, i have the same problem and I don’t know how to fix it !
What is that transparent masking you applied around the Camera bar at 2:37?
I always wondered why when on a phone call my screen would come on. Thanks to this video I know why now the proximity sensor is on the far left. What a stupid place to put it. So you have to hold the phone higher up towards your forehead. Love this channel very informative.
Recently got the car crash detection feature on my 7a in India
Hope call screening comes this year as pixel phones are set to be manufactured in India from this year
What are your thoughts of the official Silicon cases
...A very down to earth quality review. Went from my almost 6 year old Huawei to this phone. So impressed with that p20p. Hope the pixel can serve me as long and well as the p20p 🤳
Reading thin on P20 pro. It's such a great phone. How was the switch for you? Big improvement?
I noticed jittering/rolling shutter type issue when you are panning or scrolling while shooting video? I have noticed that on the 7 previously. Is that something that can be fixed?
Did you ever get photo stacks? It was reported in November 2023 that it is rolling out but I have not seen anyone that has it. Thanks, great videos !
I've had it since November
How I wish I could afford this phone. Nice review thanks 👍🏽. 👨🏿💻🍿🇿🇦
What about old pixels 6 & 7 , how they are holding up in 2024 ! Lets see tensor & tensor g2 performance...
Nice!
Hey mate, if you have the Vivo X100 Pro phone, pls do that workload test. I wanna see how the new Dimensity 9300 chip works
A happy pixel 8 user myself!
I really love my P8P! It only gets warm when i watch TikTok or Instagram on Mobile Data.. On WiFi and other Stuff it doesnt get that hot!
The cameras are great too!
Which country are you based in? Coz Pixels haven't been approved for 5G in UAE as well as most countries here in Africa that have commercial 5g networks. I currently have a Pixel 6a and it's not yet approved for 5G here in Uganda yet i have a Redmi Note 10 5G and it's able to access 5G here in Uganda and Kenya
Where can I find that flexible film for the camera? I'm in Canada, I can't find it on Amazon
Great video, like always 💪🏽
same question here. thanks for asking this
Yes! Same question. I've always rocked my phones without a case, I wish I could do the same with my Pixel 8 Pro.
I was wanting to know the same thing, that camera bump protector looks ideal. Would love to know where to buy them.
@@m11kkg I have found some options un Amazon, but I haven't purchased it yet. It takes a little longer to arrive here in Mexico, but I'll let you guys know once I receive them.

Hello Hamad,
Thanks for the video.
There is something on Pixel 8 pro that you most of the reviewers are not taking about.
The display color temperature is on the warm side, are not seing this?
For anyone from Samsung or iPhone flafships will be disappointed with the display quality.
Google should have put a slider to adjust the white balance, If you can reach to them about this and they implement will be much appreciated.
I rently bought the 8 pro but had to go back to my old Samsung galaxy not 10 plus because of this display issue!
Again, thanks for the review
Kind regards,
Thwts also a Problem for me.. i Hope i get used to it
Thank you. I was debating which phone I should get, either the S24 Ultra or the Pixel 8 Pro. You have helped me make that decision now. Let me get the Pixel 8 Pro.
I am in the same boat, though am not just basing in on the photography or video quality. I am looking at day to day productivity, multitasking, call screening etc. Did you ultimately purchase the phone?
@@mden2490 Yes I did but the battery is very disappointing so I have ordered for the Honor Magic 6 Pro.
I agree with you. I live in Georgia (country) and most pixel exclusive features doesn't work. 😕
Im considering to buy a non pro pixel 8. But i hate the battery life in my pixel 6 and the 8 isn't any better in that regard. Don't know if i should wait for the 8a because the a series usually has a better screen time than their main series
Is the glass on the camera lenses scratch resistant????
Can you please give us the link of the skin you put on the camera bar ?
Was this review after the January update?
All it takes is 10 minutes with an iPhone to remind yourself just how good we've got it with the Pixel 8 Pro
Haha, that is funny! The same thing happened to me, that goes to show you how good is Apple at advertising its products and also how good the iPhone fanboys in the tech community on CZcams are with constantly giving the win the iPhone but all it takes is actually taking it for a spin and you come to realize that the iPhone is nothing groundbreaking it's just another "smartphone". In fact, it doesn't even feel like a true smartphone comparing it to the Pixel 8 Pro @@JB-1184
I bet it took you days to collect all this info for us, so I want you to know that I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. ❤
Tks sir
Beste Review Ever .
Ich mag den Pixel zu viel , aber finde den Haptic und Video Kamera bei Iphone noch besser
I have it from 3 months. It's a great phone. Looks great, it's very fast, no performance issues or lags. Photos are amazing! The only issue I have is that is gets very often hot. Event when browsing the internet. That drains battery 🔋 too fast. That damn Exynos chip...
Good point with proximity sensor! I cannot end call without switching off the screen since icon is where the sensor is placed!
So why don't you move the icon?
@@fradan777 I can't cause whenever I try proximity sensor turns off the screen
The reason I went with the ultra due to battery/heating issues
Hey there, where can we get the phone here in Dubai?
PLEASE make a video of settings on your pixel 8 pro that is getting you 6-7 hiurs of SOT I am hardly able to go beyond 4-5 hours of SOT
Please do another google ecosystem video with a pixel tablet and pixel book (or another Chromebook). We wanna know how these devices fare in the ecosystem…
I had a Pixel 8 (non pro) up until last week and the scrolling stutter was horrible. Something is wrong with the software (possibly hardware?) on the Pixel 8 my new s23 doesn't have stutter it's very smooth.
Just pulled the trigger, I'm using now Pixel 8 Pro Obsidian, man this is so good.
Haptics -100%
Cell reception -100%
Build Quality -99% (because of slippery and still has finger prints
Speaker -98% (i think iphone 15 Pro Max still the king of speaker quality)
Display -100% it's bright, colorful, saturated
Does pixel have PWM dimming? I suffer with this on other phones.
My Pixel 8 pro battery has gotten better and better overtime . Awesome phone overall camera is amazing . My only complaint is I would like Google to create a themes app for user submitted themes . That's the only thing I miss from my galaxy phone.
How would you compare the experience so far ?
Why the hell does every single tech youtuber think that titanium is lighter than aluminium? 🤦
I'm watching this on the minty pixel. I upgraded from a 3a. It's great 😅
Astrophotography mode : my 6A does not kick in astrophotography mode and you need to review that mode ..like letting know google, to increase time lapse mode in astrophotography mode to 5 seconds or unlimited time lapse
Really disappointed that Camera Manual controls are limited to the Pixel 8 Pro. I can understand why Video Boost is (HUGE server computing cost), but there's no reason for manual controls
Pixel 8 Pro works great as long as you don't want to connect to a car using android auto. This has been a known google since the release of the Pixel 8 Pro. As of the January 2024 software release, it has not been fixed. But Google had time to fix a wallpaper issue. Not sure who is prioritizing issue at Google.
If you are thinking about buying this phone and wear your phone in your backpocket often, consider that the camera bar will catch onto the fabric of your pocket a lot. I had to learn the hard way, after I thought I put it in my pocket and let go and the phone fell on the ground. :')
Sir
Please compere pixel 8 Pro camera to vivo x100 pro
🙏
Habibi where to buy pixel 8 pro in Dubai?
5G works in UAE on P8Pro? Its not working in 7pro
Please review Vivo x100 pro
The scrolling of the phone was jittery when it was first released but they've ironed it now.
The biggest issue is the chipset. The best pixel will be the pixel 10 since it will move to tsmc and it will fix all of googles issues
Damn. I'm noticing some lag when pulling down the notification bar... And I'm so annoyed!
Waiting for S24 pixel not available or supported here and price is expensive for outdated hardware
That's the same wallpaper I'm using on my 6 Pro.
I have two major problems with 8pro:
1. battery life has been simply awfull, I am in no means a heavy user, and I still cant make more then 3 hours SOT, and rarely I can end the day without putting a phone on the charger for top up late in the afternoon.
2. Proximity sensor has been incredibly annoying, especially if you are on a call using speakerphone, and want to do something else on the phone. OMG the worst experience.
oh and
3. phone is jerky, twitchy, and very far from smooth.
Камеры Pixel лучший 🥰
Gemini nano should be made available on the 8. Google, please make it so.
they deff need to fix the scrolling thing in some apps
9:40 sonyericsone k800i is the best her❤
PIXEL ARE MY FAVORITE FOR A REASON
Possibly going to trade my 7 Pro in for a 8 Pro or a S24 Plus, it's a difficult decision as im a Pixel fanboy, but im kind of tired of Tensor problems
I came back from Samsung to Google it's just better, the Tensor G3 is more than ok for a regular use of a smartphone ;)
Has anyone found that the camera sticking out gets scratched to easily?
❤😊
I hope google watch this video
They do.
