What the heck is happening? It’s absolutely pants!

- As I write this as the video uploads to CZcams we are 11 days away from midsummer day; after which the nights start to draw in again inexorably. Yet only yesterday we had the central heating on & the day before we lit the stove on board which was on for most of the day.
The weather men tell us we’ve had the hottest May ever, yet whoever I speak to says it’s been blooming’ freezing, wet & miserable!
You’ll see in this video that we have had all sorts of weather; from warm(ish) 17º Celsius days, which, let’s be honest are more like early April temperatures rather than early June through to cold, wet, windy, miserable days more akin to late Autumn.
Anyway, moan over, have a look at the video in which there’s something for everyone I think; from cruising to walking, friends, pubs, locks & of course that bloomin’ weather.

I agree, it is a trifle annoying. We are on the overgrown ditch that claims to be the Macclesfield Canal and are currently trying to get warm

Likewise in my part of the US. Yesterday was 64F/17C. I turned on the heat this AM because the house was uncomfortably cold. In a few days (Monday) they say it will be 97 degrees! Crazy but still better than the triple digits in other places.
Just watched a 10 day forecast from the met office here - staying cool, staying wet - no sign of summer yet 😞
Honestly mad that this is our summer, but I must confess that I prefer this to the 40c we had 2 years ago - that was awful 🥵 Would be nice if it stopped raining though! The countryside you are cruising through at the moment is so beautiful 😍 Hope you are both keeping well and give Nyx big belly rubs from me 🥰
It is crazy isn’t it Lesley?! My ideal temperature is between 22-25°C - I don’t think that’s too much to ask is it? As soon as Nyx is back from her walk she’ll get those belly rubs 👍🏻

I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Even though I live on the other side of the planet, my reading of Felicity's book has definitely been enhanced after learning so much about canal life and the canal system and locks etc, from watching vlogs like yours. @@nbspudley We're in Belgrave, in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne, on the edge of the Greater Melbourne suburban region. And, yes, it is winter here but it does look a bit like the "summer" weather you have been experiencing lately! We have had a warm autumn and winter so far, but it can get colder, wetter and windier in July and August. I hope your summer improves soon! Cheers.

We've had a few carvery's at the waterside pub. We always try to get there for 12 when they have just put it out. Don't fancy it when it's been sitting there for hours. It's good value for money but I must say the quality does vary each time We've been. Sometimes the veg isn't so good. ! Love the video as usual.

Great vlog as always my little Frosty went mad last night when she heard the vlogs music , then she was jumping at the TV when Nixie appeared.
We was at midland chandler's same day as you guys must just have missed each other.
We then went to the folly for something to it at Napton but the kitchen was closed x
