This video is so late. 😬 I wanted to try and get at least one video a week out but I was going through some stuff so didn't work on it for a few days, and then it turns out doing a mostly scripted video like this plus the editing actually takes quite a while to do. Also I'm not sure about the cinema screen thing. Initially it was supposed to be a short intro, but I kept adding to it while researching things so it ended up at about 7 minutes. I sort of couldn't find a natural point before then to just end it after I started it. Not sure how it will look on phones resolution wise, it's alright on my PC monitor. Hmm I have lots of reservations about this video lol, with the audio as well. But I didn't want to keep tweaking it forever so I've uploaded it now. 😅

Cinema screen part is fine but I watch on 55" screen smart TV connect to phone 😊👍
I remember as a kid I had no clue what the dead tokens were, so I used to give them to random sims and then got confused why nothing was happening. Wonder how many sims I accidentally killed that way...😬

I did the same thing! I don’t know why I thought when you chose that, that some npc would like come up to the sim and actually hand them a coin or a “token” and then they’d die lmao
not the sims 2 ds music right at the beginning... immediate chills, that game scared the freaking shit out of me when I was little!

I was always afraid to go down in the basement to refill the energy because of the thought of seeing aliens.
And then you have me, constant rewinding of time and Aliens always in the streets XD That was a REALLY weird game tho!
OMG the aliens and robots in that game freaked me out SO MUCH.
I dunno bout you but however MysimsAgents DS Theif V being revealed scared the shit out of me as a kid.
Maybe you could try turning children into life states that they're not supposed to become? I turned a child into a vampire once (very long ago) and I remember the result being creepy.
I think I may have made a child vampire a long time ago but can't remember the results now, I might experiment with that at some point. I have some other video ideas that I want to do first though including some more CAS stuff.
I loved this video! Bella’s story was always my favorite as a kid and I knew about the token thing but never looked too much into it 🤔 The pregnant zombie thing was super interesting! Her outfit was such a great coincidence with the color scheme. Also I would like to think that Zombaby just has recessive zombie genes 😂

As someone whose first Sims game was 3, I've found your channel to be really interesting. It's like...I recognize so much of this, but I also don't, and I really didn't know anything about the extensive lore they've got going on! I spent so much time making my own Sims that I never stopped to look at the Maxis ones!
Oh yeah compared to the Sims 2 I didn't play the Maxis Sims as much in The Sims 3 there's also a lot more of them and rotational play is more difficult to set up even with nraas story progression.
I actually looked a lot into the zombies because i love playing with supernatural sims. The zombie was the first supernatural lifestate they made for the sims 2, and instead of being an overlay effect like all the other future supernatural lifestates, zombiisim is actually different. Also theres a mod for zombies to eat brains (turns the other sim into a zombie). Also, I'm not sure about zombiisim (never tried it), but theres a supernatural heredity mod where supernatural sims will pass on their supernaturalism like plantsim, fairy, witch, etc.
Oh yeah I downloaded the inheritance mod, I actually forgot I downloaded it lol and was wondering why a toddler Sim inherited witchcraft at one point but then remembered I downloaded that. I don't think I removed it so I'm guessing it doesn't work with the zombie lifestate.
The zombie mod sounds interesting, I wonder if it can work like viruses and a zombie infection could spread throughout a hood.
@@CalipersandTongs I have a zombie apoc mod that does that - can confirm! I use midgethetree's version, it's caused a lot of chaos for my sims and I've had so many die already :D

I did some digging on the Veronaville sims in preparation for my Veronaville Recreation neighborhood (starting with the ancestors, working my way up to present day Veronaville), and I’m pretty sure that some of the dead sims were originally supposed to be playable. The dead Veronaville sims with bios are Contessa Capp, Olivia Monty and Claudio Monty, but outside of them Hero Monty is also a curious case. Like Contessa Capp and Olivia Monty (Claudio too, but he shares grandparents with two playable sims so that’s not really unusual), she also has grandparent ancestors assigned, which is a trait usually only shared with playable sims. Outside of that I also saw on the wiki that she was one of the first sims they made. All this indicates that her mysterious death might have been decided upon pretty late in development. Unlike the other three though, she is not resurrectable.
I also tried resurrecting Andromache Thebe at one point with InSimenator and it was really bizarre. Her character portrait and HUD came up fine, but she never physically appeared on the lot.
That sounds like an interesting neighbourhood idea.
Ohh that's very interesting because when I resurrected Andromache she appeared as a ghost for a few seconds but then vanished from the lot (same with the other Sims I tried it with that were connected to the glitch,) but when I added the neutral witch to the Specter household her HUD portrait appeared and she was invisible like you describe with Andromache, and then when I tried to move her and a bunch of other Sims out they wouldn't leave so that supports the idea that it's only when they don't vanish that the moving out glitch occurs. Though I'm not sure if the Sims just couldn't move out because I was trying to move the neutral witch with them and she was stuck in place somewhere invisibly and wouldn't get in the car. I didn't test moving Sims out without her and wasn't aware that was a glitch that happened with other Sims at the time.
Your witch pirate character is hot you should put her on the gallery
They're actually technically a male Sim, well non-binary but that's not an option in The Sims 4 exactly so I set them to be male but with a mixture of traits. I haven't put them on the gallery because of all the custom content I used, but I'm not sure how I feel about uploading them atm, maybe one day though.

7:38 I know this is an old video, but this made me laugh. I never play with Zombies, but one day Jodie Larsen died while pregnant and I had Jason bring her back except I guess I couldn’t afford enough to bring her back properly, so she came back as a pregnant zombie. Baby was born just fine and perfectly normal. I kept Jodie as a zombie, because I was never playing with them again (the personality change to all zombies being identical annoyed me), so this was going to be my one chance.

Ik everyone keeps saying the ds music, but i love it so much😭😭Seriously i played the sims 2 on the DS like crazy, my hotel was litt. But the game also scary af with the alien invasions and robot invasions. Did u play the sims 2 on the ds? Lol
I didn't realise so many people would recognise it haha, I haven't actually played that one. I was looking through Sims music and found a bunch of the soundtrack on CZcams and then thought some of it would fit the video and keep the Sim theme lol. The only handheld game I played was Bustin' out for the GBA.
Why didn't you check the baby's personality? He could inherit mom's 0 points or maybe a walkstyle (which is not very likely, but still)
Oh I didn't think to do that in the video for some reason but yeah the baby had the normal walkstyle when I tried aging him up (I don't think walkstyles are usually heritable,) his personality is identical to his dad's though so it seems that the zombie personality isn't genetic. (They always end up with the same few points when they're turned into zombies.) One amusing thing is when I aged him to an adult he rolled the want to be saved from death.

Bro, my Makin Magic would freeze whenever I tried to enter Magic Town lmaao. My dad called tech support and got it fixed, but I was devastated at first.
Not sure what program you use to capture your voice, but I’d try taking a look at how to reduce background noise! Audacity has the feature and there’s a lot of tutorials available
Great video otherwise, that’s one extra step to being an even more awesome video
Thanks for the suggestion yeah I've had some issues with the audio. I did try using audacity to remove the noise but it didn't really work. I've tried testing with my brother's mic (haven't used it in any videos,) and it does remove a lot of the background noise like the PC fan though doesn't really remove clicking or the occasional bonking sound. Another issue was I'm recording the game sounds through my speakers and not headphones, which is probably not the best quality but I don't have a headset atm since I didn't replace an old pair after they broke. There's also a problem with echo in the room I'm recording in which seems to reduce quality, and I can't really move where I'm recording. I do want to replace my microphone at some point though. It's actually a field recording device so it kind of picks up everything and it also doesn't run through a program that has settings that I can mess with, probably isn't the best for CZcams.
deleting sims from the bin doesn’t actually cause corruption, instead it just makes them like the cas sim templates *if you use simpe to copy those files to a sim, which makes that sim the sim that was deleted. The floating data doesnt attach itself either
Yeah there's a bunch of outdated info about neighbourhood corruption in my older videos which at the time I didn't realise was inaccurate (like that deleting Sims + gravestones can cause hood corruption,) because of how widespread a lot of it was. Unfortunately I can't edit the videos now to add annotations.

I've added a note in the captions and also a video card linking to April Black's deep dive video since a lot of people probably don't watch with captions turned on (unfortunately I could only include 30 characters for the teaser text so it just says 'this has been debunked' lol.) I plan to mention this in my next Sims 2 video too.
Is it possible to continue Olivia's pregnancy if you give her the token?
The Sims wiki seemed to suggest it isn't since it says they both have to be resurrected and have them try for another baby:

but I haven't actually tested that so I'm not 100% sure.
Does it corrupt the game and or neighbourhood if I give sims dead tokens, cos I’ve been doing that recently to keep marriages intact and I wanna be sure I haven’t made a mistake, I don’t think I have, I tried doing research and there’s nothing about corruption coming from giving sims dead tokens, and if there was someone probably would’ve discovered it, it has been 17 years since the game released after all
I'm not sure but I don't think it does. It gives the Sim a hidden memory and then you can remove it in SimPE and normal dead Sims also have that token so I think it should be OK.
I'm sorry I'm only like 30 seconds in BUT... Is that the music from Sims 2 on the DS? Cos I played that game A LOT as a kid! It was a weird game! God I gotta replay that...
It is, I haven't actually played those games though I just found the soundtrack on YT and was looking for something Sims related that also fit the video vibe. The only handheld game I played was bustin' out on the GBA (also played that one on ps2, and the sims on ps2, and the Urbz and very briefly I think I played The Sims 2 on console, but I was borrowing that game from someone else.)
@@CalipersandTongs Sims 2 DS, as weird as it is, is kinda good. Has a story but it's basically the same thing repeated until the final boss.

Hi, maybe you can help me with this problem... I see that in one of my playable household there is a random cat treated like it is a household member, I can see it in Sim PE. Do you know what it can be?
Do you mean the cat just randomly joined a playable household without being moved in? Or that it's treated as though it's a Human Sim? If it's the first one that's kind of weird and haven't seen that before. I'm not sure what household strays are usually part of though since I haven't checked that in SimPE. The second one is probably a sign of corruption, you might be able to see from the sim description what it's species is set to and change it there back to cat but there might be other corruption issues.
@@CalipersandTongs I will check both in game and in SimPE again and come back later, will have time this eve only :( But I have a feeling that if I open the household the cat won't be there to play. It is only shown in Sim PE that the cat is part of it.
@@CalipersandTongs Hi so I checked in game the cat is not in the household at all if loading the lot. But if I open in Sim PE I see the random cat also I see it through teleport listen under the same family. I have never seen this cat around. What the hell is this.
Yeah that's odd, not sure what to make of that. I wonder if the cat is stuck on the lot somehow invisibly? But if so they would normally show up in the family neighbourhood thumbnail I think. There's a way to change the household name and things like that though for Sims in SimPE so could probably fix it there.

what will happen if the baby grows up, will it zombify?
I tested it by aging them up later and they were basically just a normal Human Sim but they inherited their dad's personality 100% because the zombie personality isn't heritable either.
A plantsim can get pregnant, I've had humans get plantsims pregnant, plantsims get pregnant using mods (Both genders by different species) I haven't tested out plantsim pregnancy with two plantsims.
If you use cheats, you can find a graveyard in base game and it'll say something about Bella Goth
Huh really? I've never heard about that what's the cheat? The only graveyard I know about in The Sims 2 is the one that came with Nightlife.

Oh you meant in The Sims 3, I thought you meant in The Sims 2. Yeah I have most of the expansions for The Sims 3 but didn't buy any of the store worlds so I've heard of Lunar Lakes but haven't played it/don't know that much about it.
@@CalipersandTongs I had found the info from a video on CZcams about her. Also, Bella goth told me in a game that was on this tiny console to play the sims 2, a special type of console, handheld, she says to me "I need to get out of Strangeville! This place is driving me nuts!" Something like that.
