- In this video I experiment with getting a Sim abducted by Aliens in Create a Sim but lots of other weird stuff happens along the way like ghosts popping up unexpectedly, modding a telescope that accidently ends up marrying Sims, fighting in CAS, and a Sim ends up living on a community lot.

I realised later that the name is actually randomised everytime CAS is loaded but I got Armando twice so I don't think there's a lot of them. When it's loaded though, it keeps that name in error messages until you type something in then it changes to that.

I just realized that CAYAS is the only CAS in TS2 where you can have sims with separate surnames, which is baffling. Always found it annoying because in my language sometimes surnames differ between family members because of gender conjugation.
Yeah I actually was going to mention that at one point but I think I cut it later while editing, but I always found that odd too because even if you just want to make a bunch of friends who would all have different surnames you can't. There is a way to fix that in SimPE or using mods though, but would be easier if it was an option in the first place. I'm glad they made that possible in later games.
Yeah it’s so interesting bc even in game development maxis actually had this problem w the singles family in strange town. All the girls have singles as their last name but some of them are from the Curious family and Erin is Loki’s sister, so it’s odd they didn’t make it so they all had proper last names.
@@pinkcatacombs They use some kind of software or directly edit the code to make the separate household becomes a sibling, Which cause The Curious could literally have romantic interaction with The Singles.

The story progression mod by LazyDuchess makes it so sims can give birth without being selected or even living on the current lot. So giving birth in cas might be possible

The fight scene in the last minutes was so surreal 'cause this sim in CAS doesn't even exist in game but he is fightining with sim who already exists........... and this ending with Will Wright's quote and alien DC music just freaking epic. Thanks.

I wonder why CAS sims are already programmed to react to fire and weather/freezing, even before starting the game?
They’re still Sims, they still have the inherent code for one, they’re just told what animations to do in CAS. I’m guessing they never saw a need to turn off the reactions, since, under normal circumstances, that’d never be an issue anyways.
If I remember correctly, the CAS's lot roof is glitched. The sims actually think that there's no roof hence they're freezing.

When the bartender probably is pregnant, now I'm thinking and very interested if a sims can give birth in CAS lot. Or maybe a pet or hybrid. Maybe save and leave a lot while it about to happen or something like that 🤔

Yeah I'm curious too. The thing that makes me think it won't work though is I think maybe they need to belong to the household to progress through the pregnancy and give birth. I haven't tried the story progression mod yet still, but I'm not sure if it makes non playable Sims pregnant or not in the traditional way if so then it is possible. But I'll test it with one of the bartenders and leave CAS open a while later to see if it happens. If not then it's possible that I could edit the bartenders in CAS to be pregnant before summoning them. 🤔
@@CalipersandTongs What if you would put bills somewhere on the floor and leave the game idle for a while? If they would change then time definietly passes (and maybe they could even force spawn repo man due to unpaid bills?)
Overall it seems that CAS forbids spawn only of playable sims and townies. According to SimPE those are 2 categories. And you showed that you can spawn NPCs (bartenders, wolf and cook) and uneditables (ghosts, Grim Reaper). I wonder if f.e. you have trash on CAS and have maid service, would the maid come to clean it. Also that would mean you could have Mrs Crumplebottom or Elder Vampires spawn in CAS if you placed it as a community lot in Downtown.

But I think you will need to mess a bit more with the game.
There are mod that makes pregnancy go faster. It could help while waiting.
What about aging? I don't think it would be easy (if possible) to age a Sim there.
I think the CAS works as if it was in the simulation mode, but it looks like the world time is frozen, even if the Sims aren't.
Yeah it's weird it doesn't really seem like time passes, but it must do for some things because in a previous video I put a cowplant in there and it got hungry later in CAS so started displaying the cake. Plus in this video at one point a notification popped up while I had the lot saved in the uni subhood that the CAS Sim had class in an hour so it seemed like they already had the 'unregistered major' it looks like the lighting/sky is set to always be daytime though.

It took a lot of trial and error especially with the modding part, but weirdly not as much as I was expecting. In the end I was able to copy a lot of things over in SimPE from the bar to the telescope lol.
this stuff quickly became a special interest of mine and it is all because of u. thank u very much for blessing me with corrupted sims 2 content even though I've never played the sims 2 myself (i grew up on sims 3 lol)

This was so fun!! I also can't believe the Sim stopped freezing. I can't even believe time passes on these lots-- I'm guessing that's why nobody got pregnant, because the time is broken...?? Who knows, though. You really surprise me with all the new ideas in every upload :)
The time seems partly broken but I think it must be working to some extent just because pets and such are moving about the lot so it's not completely frozen and the cowplant got hungry after a while once when I played, also one of the CAS Sims had a notification saying they had class in an hour at one point which I somehow missed while filming and only saw while editing. That only popped up when I had the actual lot placed in the college subhood though. I guess that means if I could make the bartenders young adults, they might go to class lol while they're not doing anything else.

Ah I don't actually know what the telescope is called lol because it still has the name of the one I downloaded from modthesims, I just edited it to summon bartenders.

You should see what happens if u load CAS, but the lot is zoned as an apartment
Interesting I might try that at some point. Not sure it will work though, because it seems to usually function as a community lot even if you save it as a residential one. Like the bartenders pop up either way and that relies on a community function in the game code which normally doesn't work on residential lots but will in CAS. It's kind of weird that way, it does seem to pick up on the subhood type though since when I saved it in the uni subhood the young adult CAS Sim had a class pop up to go to class (but that never happened when I saved the uni CAS in the main neighbourhood, even though they're still young adult Sims.)

i remember as a kid playing the sims 3 i just wanted to make a vampire in cas. when i bought nightlife after begging for it and asking everyone in the store if it had vampires i was severely dissapointed
Yeah in The Sims 2 you can't make vampires in CAS only through the game itself. They introduced that in The Sims 3 though (I can't remember if you could make vampires in CAS in Late Night, but definitely when they revamped - heh - the vampires in the Supernatural expansion you could make them and other lifestates I think.) I think The Sims 2 vampires are actually the worst ones in the series unfortunately. I'm not sure if there are any mods that improve on them or not, I haven't really investigated that.

I found this channel quite recently and boy oh boy this is SO INTERESTING! So to my understanding CAS is much more similar to the live mode than expected. I would as far as to say that it *is* live mode with some basic limitations. Amazing lmao!
Yeah it's very interesting to see how they did things, the thought process behind it seems quite random really lol but I like that. It seems like you pretty much go to the lot and then it has a bunch of coding that limits certain things and keeps the camera in a certain position (when you're not breaking things or you don't have a camera mod lol.) It's sort of like the tutorial coding in that sense. If you rename a neighbourhood Tutorial it will change the interface and loading screen to the tutorial ones (but those changes are more subtle, though it stops you from being able to save.) There are some limitations though with CAS live features.
I did try to have a Sim give birth in CAS and it wouldn't happen, even using story progression which allows Sims to give birth anywhere. It's not necessarily impossible but I just couldn't get it to work while trying. Though when I tried killing Sims in CAS I used a wolf Sim, and I didn't try having a wolf sim give birth in CAS, so it's possible that would work and it's just Human Sims that can't. The really weird thing is that it seems to take NPC's from the pool of whichever hood the CAS lot was most recently saved in before being placed back into the game files. Like the bartenders I summoned with the modded telescope, all came from Blightgate.

I didn’t know you could actually build on the CAS lot. I guess they are freezing because of Seasons being installed. This opens so many new opportunities especially with all the NPCs on the lot. Just imagine creating a Sim in a busy kitchen and the photo at the end is just a staff photo. Ah sims 2 you make me fall in love with you all over again
Oh yeah you can get the freezing to stop happening by using AnyGameStarter and disabling that pack while you mess around in CAS. I just decided not to due to the nature of the video. :P Somebody has managed to get a vampire Sim in there too but I don't know how they did that, it was on the simslice website which is a paysite but they had photos. I could only seem to get NPC's that were summoned by an object into CAS.
your videos are really entertaining and unique, i'm always looking forward to the new ones! this one in particular is so exciting, so much unbelievable stuff happening that wasn't ever seen before, i think... also very funny lol. thank you for sacrificing the stability of your game for these masterpieces haha

i'm very curious if the relationship panel of that bartender (who talked to/fought with the unfinished CAS sims) actually displays these sims in there... have you checked that? these relationships should've gotten recorded somewhere, they might be visible in SimPE if not in the game itself (or maybe they weren't saved?)
ALSO, thanks for introducing me to the DS/GBA OST, i haven't played that game either but i'm obsessed with this soundtrack now, it's so great
I'm not sure if it would save the Sim interactions unless you save and finish creating the family, though it does save stuff that happens on the lot if you cancel the lot so maybe it would. I can't remember if I quit the game manually or not now though. Just looked in SimPE and in relations if I click the not related check mark there is a young adult male Sim listed there called Talin Rogriguez (since there were no errors with that Sim I'm not sure what their name was,) but they have a blue mr potato head thumbnail so I can't see what he looks like. Talin's memory cache took forever to load, then ended up freezing SimPE so I had to close it, but when I did get it open they had the CAS memories of meeting mystery Sims, and the LTA inited one which I think has something to do with lifetime aspiration (not sure but I always assumed that,) also met a bunch of other uni Sims in their memories who weren't on the lot so it's probably not the CAS Sim.
There are also 12 versions of Hannah Alien CAS lol, which is the Sim I moved into the CAS lot after moving it to the main hood, also 4 versions of Jeff Shaikh. Not sure that happened with the other version of CAS but if must have duplicated those Sims everytime I packaged the lot.

Thanks yeah you can monetise your channel after 1000 subs + a certain amount of watch hours. I was surprised a lot of these videos didn't get demonetised though lol like some of the weirder ones. I don't really know what CZcams's rules are for things these days.

This is probably a bad, bad idea from the corruption/stability standpoint, but the sim ordering a drink made me wonder: would a nightclub-themed CAs be possible, with a bigger room and a dancefloor/bar in the back, so sims trapped on the lot can party? Maybe even enlarge the lot with the Lot Adjuster to really give them space? Sure, it would probably cause a lot of problems and doom any hood from the start, but the a e s t h e t i c of it...
I think that could potentially work the main problem would be with the camera because it always comes back to the same point of the CAS lot so you'd have to fiddle with that too before setting things up to give yourself more room to move that around. I haven't really tried messing with the camera settings before myself though I think I downloaded something at some point a while back that allows you to zoom out a bit more in CAS but only a small amount.
I'm not sure how the CAS lot works in terms of corruption it's very odd really like it seems to technically be located in the last neighbourhood it was saved in and that's where it draws NPCs from like the bartenders in this video, but at the same time it's also located in the game files when you move it back there and it's shared across hoods that's why I always replaced it again after doing anything and only opened the Blightgate CAS in Blightgate but it's not really safe even so.

Something I started wondering about recently since this mod Story Progression came out is what might happen if a sim off lot died while calling your sim, since the sim you're calling is technically on the lot but invisible. Even if not through this mod but in general hmm. Or if its even possible the sim CAN die. [Also, this mod will allow sims you don't play with to give birth FYI, it allows sims all over your town and subtowns to age, marry, go to college, find jobs and reproduce on their own, as well as die. Makes me wonder how this might affect the CAS if it can die of old age via that way.]

Also SP mod is so good, really opens up the game tho make sure to use neighborhoods you don't care about or back them up, since yeah its still in beta.

I really loved that in the second abduction video you could see this time Ocean didn't have the terrified face, he was smiling all the time like he knew what was about to come LOL and the ghost yeeted into the void???? I'm dead
Also the music when entering the portal during each intro is keeping me alive
I think what happened with the gravestones is typical. Once you try to move them to a different lot they often (if not always) duplicate and the data is being shredded and divided into the two I think, and that's the thing with all the saving-lot-while-something, like talking on the phone, because the sim being talked to is considered present on the lot - he's not, so only a part of his data is being moved/duplicated into the lot saved. That's why you should theoretically put both RIP and original tombstones in the desired lot and then the next time there will be just the original cause it will clean itself up and merge. I don't know if it's 100% safe tho
What really bothers me now is if Ocean got pregnant actually, since I don't think already pregnant male Sims can get abducted again. It would be worth checking how many Sims (including broken ghosts - also, the yeeted woman you said was a different one that particular time was the same each time) were on the lot that time, because maybe they were considered household members, but I'm not sure that's the case; also, maybe Ocean was less than 3 (Sims wiki says 5) days from becoming an elder? Worth checking I think
Maybe why Ocean and the Sim being created fought was because the CAS one didn't have personality points yet so he was 100% mean? Or Ocean was mean? Anyway, if I were you I couldn't resist actually adding the CAS Sim to the gameplay and checking the relationship lol or I'd trigger a situation like this again because I'm so curious right now

Oh yeah thinking about it I had that happen before when moving the Goth family with gravestones in their inventory. When I moved them back into a lot they all appeared on the road side.
Oh when I said the ghosts changed I meant Komei Tellerman was replaced the next time with a different ghost her name was Virginia something or other but the other ghost (called 'all the ghosts' lol, they're from another video I made with 100 ghosts,) stayed the same.
I was thinking maybe every Sim in the default or NPC simbin which you can see in SimPE show up on in CAS, but it seems a lot don't so it must be more specific than that. It seems to work with ghosts and certain community lot NPC's though. Then whenever you finish a Sim and move to the photo room every one of those NPC's on the lot are moved over (even if they're visitors they don't have to be moved in,) but I think it takes a little while for the ghosts to show up for some reason, maybe a few minutes (though with the weird moving it's possible that sometimes they're elsewhere on the lot.) The weird thing is in a previous video at some point I had a gravestone saved on the original CAS lot, but the ghost never showed up. Maybe I didn't leave it long enough though or it might have become unlinked from the Sim I can't remember now.
Ocean was mean yeah lol, he got into a lot of fights with the Sim I use for testing stuff Jason Experiment while I was testing stuff.
Thanks for the comment, I will probably do more testing to see if a pregnancy can happen in create a Sim with the bartenders later.
Well, sims in CAS don't have personality points, so it makes sense that they would be extremely grouchy and pick fights with the bartender.
Oh yeah but it was actually the bartenders that kept initiating it. I noticed one of them when I was testing things with them on another lot would also keep picking fights with my Sim there as well lol. So some of the bartenders are just grouchy.

It's a lot of fun but it definitely changed how I view CAS. I've known it was a lot for a really long time but it was still quite easy to forget that before I tried experimenting with all this stuff. Also the ghosts were completely unexpected and I was not prepared for that lol.

10:20 The rules are: unmodded barbecue grills are a fire hazard indoors, but save on community lots. NL Tempest Cooktop cannot catch on fire, but the Uni Shiny Tyne Cooktop can. The cafeteria worker burn food from time to time. (needs 3 kitchen islands and outside the college sub-hoods a patch by Inge Jones to spawn)
New victim: the Economy Maintenance Free Dishwasher by Sophie David spawns a restaurant serve NPC who is very easily distracted by fun stuff like music instruments or (strip) poker table. What might be handy in CAS is that they reset themselves after a while.
Oh interesting I didn't know the dishwashers spawned the servers. I didn't notice the bartender's reset, though it might be because I didn't leave it long enough. The poker table/instrument distraction might be useful for other stuff thanks.

The CAS Sims don't seem to have any memories besides the CAS ones after creation everything else seems to get wiped from what I've seen.

I basically created them for my videos to work as a kind of channel avatar. I haven't played with them conventionally since I haven't been playing The Sims 4 in general much recently. They were loosely based on another Sim I made a while back with the same name (Vespertilian Black. I'm not very good at coming up with names though so tend to change them a lot, this one isn't really fixed I just like the word vespertilian lol.) They're supposed to be a dark elf too, though you can't see the ears with the hat, they also have fangs. They're kind of meant to be a magical crazy scientist lol.

I wonder - if you would proceed with the sim bartender fought, create another sim, then delete the first, then save the family - how sim files would look like? Especially bartenders. I mean, with tesitng cheats it shows that sim is already numbered and has a file. Yet I didn't noticed that deleting sims in CAS could cause corruption. Would bartender fight break that and cause him to have relation with non existing sim? Or would that be safely cleaned out?
Yeah it would be interesting to see what would happen to the bartender's file if the game is saved (I know other Sims don't retain relationships to Sims that are created and then removed before saving CAS though, but that's probably because they never socialise in CAS.) I didn't do that while experimenting before because I was avoiding game corruption but since I'm not now I could check that if I can get Sims to fight or interact again. I wonder how it would effect their memories too. Like would they retain memories of having fought, or if they saw a Sim die in create a Sim would they have a death memory?

I don't tend to like making instructional videos like that, but I might at some point. At the moment I haven't actually used all of it because there's a lot of stuff it does, I tend to just use the same several objects repeatedly. It's also an unsupported mod now apparently. But yeah I'm not ruling out making a video about that, but for the time being I have other video ideas in mind.
Is it possible to visit community lots which have sims living in them? It would be very cool if so, you would be able to visit your neighbors like in sims 3 and 4
I'll try that later. Sometimes when community lots can't load up they just load in buy/build mode but I think what will probably happen is it will load but function like a normal community lot and the Sim(s) that live there may not be there at all, but I haven't tried it yet. I do think someone made a mod that allowed you to visit others houses before though, think I heard about that, so it is possible somehow.
Story progression and Chris Hatch 's original mod have Visit other sims as options.
I have a question,is it safe to remove bad memories? I have a mod that's called the memory manipulator. It adds and removes good and bad memories.Are there any bad memories that I should avoid removing?
Oh yeah I downloaded and used that mod before it's a lot more convinient than editing in SimPE. As far as I know it's safe to use but as with all mods I guess there's a small risk. There are certain invisible memories that you shouldn't remove in SimPE (tokens and things like that,) but to my knowledge that mod doesn't make use of those.

Thanks for the comment. I was planning on making a follow up to this video doing that actually but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work despite trying a bunch of things. I may go back to it one day but for the moment I've moved on.
Also the freezing Sims happens if you modify the CAS lot with seasons installed for some reason. You can avoid that by using a program called anygamestarter so you can disable certain expansions, but seeing as this whole video is crazy anyway I didn't do that lol, but you would want to do that if you wanted to make a functional CAS screen.
If these cutscenes bore you, you can always turn them off in the settings :)
what happens if you replace the podium with the normal one
or if you try to go to the inhabited community lot
I'm not sure what you mean when you say normal podium but I tried visiting an occupied community lot in a test hood I made a while ago to test it out but from what I remember when you get to the lot it just ends up working like a usual community lot and nobody is living there. I don't remember 100% what happened now though because it was a while ago. I know what I was hoping would happen didn't though which was being able to visit another Sim's house lol.

Ohh right I get what you mean now. Yeah I'm not sure how I could do that since there's no debug mode for the buymode catalogue in The Sims 2 so would have to mod it, but from what I've heard if you lose those objects the CAS stops working because they're necessary for the basic functionality.
why r ur sims always cold in your cas?
For some reason when you edit the CAS lot with seasons installed it causes that freezing effect, it happens to other people too and just seems to be a weird glitch. You can apparently get around it by using any game starter and disabling that expansion.

Did the bartender get pregnant?
I didn't get a chance to test that properly since it takes a while of gameplay to show signs and there's no fast forward button but I'm going to see later if it can happen. There was no pregnancy sound effect though.
