54:05 did you know all 5 seasons of The Muppet Show (1976-1981) was commissioned, financed and filmed in the UK at the ATV Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and broadcast on ITV Sunday evenings, it was syndicated to the US.
I’m pretty sure there was a UK only segment too, due to the fact that commercial TV in the US had more time allocated to ad breaks.
@@lynnejamieson2063 That's right, I think it was usually a musical number.
@@PHDarren yeah, it was nothing that would be integral or included the guest star but hey, we still got that wee bit extra 😊
A similar thing happened with the 1980's children's programme; Fraggle Rock... Several different series were produced for various countries with different 'character hosts', different back stories and for different accents and/or languages. Check out Wikipedia for lots of production info... 👍
We call them Muppets here too, that particular Muppet just happens to be named Animal.
Mice have everything to do with the new cat at Downing Street, the cat is there to kill mice and rats.
Regarding Jamie's poisoning comment, hindsight is 20/20. My grandfather cooked a meal for Adolf Hitler and his newly established party in 1932. He always said that if he had known what was going to happen he would have poisoned them all.
Oh my god! Steve Coogan did an interview on the Jonathan Ross show in 2011 in character as Alan Partridge, and CeeLo Green and Tulisa were on the same show, and the shots of them asking questions on this are from the Green room of the Jonathan Ross show!
I think the Rebecca Black story is a bit more complicated than "she paid a company to make a video for her," and she's got some good interviews explaining. She was the first victim basically of this producer who promised to make girls into pop stars. Yes, she fell for it but I don't really blame her, being that age and impressionable. Look up "Chinese Food" or "Thanksgiving" if you don't know those ones, same producer, different "breakout stars."
If I remember rightly, the stuff about Jimmy Savile came out pretty soon after his death. But if he died in November or December, it might have not been until early in the next year.
Took like a year for him to be outed. At this point he was still loved unfortunately
The bigger question with human breast milk ice cream is this: what kind of an operation do you have to run to make it viable on a commercial scale? How do you obtain such a large quantity of it, how is it screened, could any woman give milk, do they all line up like cows in a cowshed or do they send it in a jiffy bag via UPS? So many questions and no answers 🤦🏻♂️😂 Either way, I feel very nauseous now 😅🤢
There are also Big Fat Quiz of Everything and Big Fat Quiz of the decades episodes aa well
I think the queen had a rule not consuming stuff her staff didnt prepare.
nono the tv presenter did mean it "like that" which is why as jimmy rightly said, he has not and will never buy a beer in a bar ever again.
i don't remember which question this was in reference to
"How Essex are you?".....👊🏻👌🏼😂😂💜
And you get a full point for the cat question, that was on Jimmy not the kids, the cats official title is "chief mouser",he should have said 🤦♂️😂💜
My sister in law's surname was Officer and she was a prison officer. You can imagine how that went being Officer Officer in a prison! She did it for 20 years! You did so well! Great fun guys. Thank you xx
How the hell have you guys never seen Fenton the dog?!?! That wasn't just a British thing, that was worldwide!
If you ever want to watch a very pleasant, gentle show with Matt Baker, Our Farm in the Dales is a really lovely show where he goes and helps fix up his family’s farm for his mum. I love Matt Baker, he’s a legend for that David Cameron moment.
The best part of the Fenton the dog chasing the deer video was that he was previously training to be a guide dog but surprisingly didn’t make the cut
let's not forget that the best Muppet Show ever was the one with brit Marty Feldman.
also there was internet on phones LONG before the iPhone. It was visually and traffic reduced more text based BUT actually using the actual internet.
On the subject of breast milk, you should check out the “bitty” sketches from “Little Britain”.
Looking forward to you guys watching The Big Fat Anniversary Quiz 2015...
I think that's the one with... the incident
No lip sync or autotune for Beyoncé that night. But that fan really wished there was. lol.
Te best thing about that clip is the fan wasn't just some 13 or 14 year old. She looks like she's in her mid 30s.
But hands up, you go go for it girl... I once met Lucy Liu, I was trying to ask for her autograph and words wouldn't come out of my mouth. I think it was the Premier of Kill Bill, so I'd have been in my 30s, too. Words just wouldn't come out of my mouth. I have a sharpie in one hand and my ticket in the other and I'm trying to hand them to her for an autograph.
I won't give you half a point for the Gaddafi question, but since Downing Street got the cat because of a mouse problem, I'll give you a full point for that instead of the half a point you gave yourselves. So still #13!
Lesson for America, if a woman with a handbag can stop a robbery why do you need so many guns?
A good guy with a bag can stop a bad guy with a bag
2012 is probably my all time favorite. James Corden and Jack Whitehall. Absolutely hilarious.
No way did someone call James corden hilarious
@@Lezzyboy87 I said the episode was hilarious. But yes he did make me laugh.
Thanks for the warning
Not a fan of JC but he was funny together with JW
@@tangawarra same
Best part of show was Spenser saying the new vagisal is sugared. I actually learnt something 😂
Charlie Sheen was not in the UK. But the crazy was memed....
The story of the old lass stopping a jewel robbery with a handbag happened in my hometown.
Knew it immediately because we have so few claims to fame (Alan Moore, Alan Carr, Bauhaus) and it happened right near Gold Street and the AllSaints church, a 15 minute walk from my house.
Jus a lil note lads, the copper who woke up in an occupy London tent was jus a PC(police constable),not a chief lol🤷♂️😂💜
The human milk ice cream was fun. Jamie Oliver was doing this big show about how you could eat for less and then refused to eat breast milk ice cream.
We are Mammals. he would rather drink mike from a com, goat, and everything but a person...
I got 24, I was working overseas that year and watching the news more closely to find out what was happening at home
90 year old woman doesnt want to drink a heavy stout, I doubt there was anything malicious there. Offer her a whisky with mixer or something and she would have maybe obliged. I'm surprised it hadn't been discussed in advance to avoid the awkwardness
You can’t keep giving yourselves 1/2 points for wrong answers!
Brought a tear my eye seeing my name at the end there 🥲
(Jonny Dade)
You butchered Richard Ayoade's name lol
Steps went to Marbella... so, no carbs before (going to) Marbs
The queen not drinking the pint was not out of disrespect. It's a security concern.
No member of the immediate royal family can except gifts of food or drink...
The joke there was Queen's husband, Prince Philip was gazing at that pint with pure want...
If ypou ever get a chance then I urge you to watch the documentary about Prince Phillip. Oy's on BBC America and there is 25 seeders if you want to do some torrents.
He was a remarkable man. He was at the forefront of modernising the Royal family. He was passionate about green energy. This was in the 1960s. Most of the land is carbon neutral and has been for decades. All royal cars run on gas and not gasoline.
Held a lot of respect for his wife, the Queen.
He always said that she is my Queen first and my wife second. If you watch old film roll of them you'll notice that he's always just half a step behind the Queen. That's royal protocol. But I can just imagine Queenie saying "Phillip, shop being a dick and walk next to me. You silly bollox". He never did...
Seriously, if you can find the documentary about him it will surprise you just because how forward thinking he was
. Like I said in the late 60s he said that all royal cars should be running on lean burn tech or on gas to reduce the output of harmful gasses. Most of the grounds around the castles ad such are self sustaining all food is grown in the grounds. This was in the 60s. He also encouraged the Royal family to embrace the new tech. Let the people watch us on TV, make a Twitter account...
of course the queen turned down guness, she lives here she knows its shit we only serve tourists :P
You are only half right about the Friday song. But you are wrong about the way it happened..
Its known as the "Barbra Streisand effect".
Barbra Streisand complained that her home was on Google Earth. When she made the complaint there was only 6 views of her house and 4 of those were to the lawyers.
Obviously it was a public case and her house became the the most viewed property ever, even beating 'Area 51'.
The Friday thing had a lot to do with /b
But you are correct. There was a company that would make your child a star for $silly$.
Just to let you know lads the muppets were created and invented by the Brit’s and we use the word muppet as a slightly derogatory word about someone who has done or is a bit stupid.
"Cameron.. sign?... toe.. treaty...?"
You should have had a whole point for that. Considering that you are watching a year quiz, years after it happened, I think you both do a really great job. And in regards to the JS thing, after his death and elaborate funeral, then the iceberg began to melt and the truth came out.
i feel like giving half a point for a different dictator 4 countries and a continent away is a bit of a stretch :P
I would love for you to do Bake Off!
At about 1:01:46 onwards it explains exactly why Americans DO NOT call an ambulance or a doctor.... COST and fear of the COST !!! What a SAD country when you worry that something to SAVE your life costs more than calling it... DUH! Makes NO SENSE at all. Just saying 😢😢😢
It's not so much he became famous for stealing a bag of rice, he gained notoriety because during the riots everyone was stealing high value items and risking the criminal conviction where as he stole a very low value item and incriminated himself by posting it online. The penalty would be the same if caught. If you're going to commit the crime of looting you probably want to loot something of value and NOT then post online about your crime.
I would love to know why you think milk from the same species is disgusting when milk from another is fine
For a bonus point, what question did Johnathan Ross ask David Cameron? 😆😆😆
Say what you WANT about the royal family.....👊🏻🤷♂️😂😂💜
Ah, this is a flatulent episode, it just warms the Hart!
Come on, you said "Nr. 10 got a cat", that has to be worth a full point, not half.
Nooooo. why are you thinking breast milk is bad? In my previous comment I'd think you'd agree.
Funny enough I just watched that last Two and half Men final episode this week
People being squeamish about breast milk always makes me chuckle. It's literally made for humans to imbibe in our beginning years when our bodies and immune systems are most sensitive to changes and bad things such as harmful bacteria, it's literally made for us to drink and people will sit there squirming at the thought while having a good ole glass of milk from the utters of a giant hulking beast that's kept in a factory line hooked up to a machine to constantly pump juice out of their bodies.
Yeh I've always found it weird 😂everyone's happy to digest milk(in various guises) of another species, especially considering milk is meant for infants growing bodies......🤔😖😑
Lady milk from the human cow
there are 3 USA seasons of the X-factor.
...bad dong 🎵
shhhh 4 more years
would love to see a collab with other "American reactions to the UK" channels!
Don't worry about me, at least, if you manage to make a comment that could be taken the wrong way about Kate Middleton.
I really don't like the royal family. And I chuckled at the comment you made in the last video.
I feel like this quiz show gives a false impression of the UK attitude towards royals. I've never met a single person in my life who gives a shit about the royal family. I always assumed Americans were more into them than we are.

49:20 The Queen's mother would have drunk it, she liked it. I just don't think QE2 liked it.
React on ezg , he makes music about the football culture
No to your constant 'just half a point' demands!
Ignore people offended by oh you can’t say that about the royal family they obviously a bellend gen z who can’t handle a joke
This whole thing where late night comics and celebrities are apologizing for the "disappearance" jokes they made about Kate is ridiculous. No one actually said anything bad about her. She's also doing fine. She had a successful surgery and the chemo she's having is strictly for preventative reasons. She's a rich royal with the best doctors at her disposal. I wish people were worried more about other underprivileged women who don't have a 1/5 of what she has. Also, all the apologies I'm seeing are from Americans. When the Brits nearly pushed Meghan to suicide, no one apologized to her. In fact they keep doubling down. So let's wish Kate well, but there's no need for such protectiveness.
👌🏼👏👏💜
Its nothing new, when Marlene disappeared everyone thought she'd ran off with Denzil when in reality shed had implants
I tend to write WAY too long comments and people can't be arsed.. and I accept that, just move on.. I also don't write everything I (over)think about.. but right now.
I want to TRY to be succinct and also only address one specific thought I had about the ONE thing.. without giving extra information about why I think that way.. This IS the TL;DR version:
so.. Breast milk ice-cream?.. you think is bad?.. also.. I know fewer people (BUT they are sanctimoneous and think they "know better") may ALSO disregard NORMAL Icecream for similar reasons?.
well. have you ever considered that you are both just WRONG!?.
I have a shitload of education and experience in the janitorial businesss (cleaning offices, toilets, and so on).. I know WHAT works and what not.. I know what is an environmental problem or not, I know what is an actual health hazard or not.
and the thing is.. what you feel "yucky".. doesn't relate.. at all.. (not even a little bit).. as to what ACTUALLY is a.. problem.
There are a SHITLOAD of things that you accept as normalcy that you SERIOUSLY shouldn't.. and things you find "yucky".. that.. seriously are perfectly okay.
Ever considered learning about reality, instead of just.. "reacting" to how it makes you feel?
Your capitalisation of certain words and excess punctuation makes you sound like a proper prick. Maybe keep your comments to yourself next time?
I tend to write way too long comments.. . .Writes a way too long comment that makes no sense regarding the show 🤔
@@tommym5023 .. Thank you for telling me what I said and what I meant(?).. You do realize that if you contributed anything you just made the total bulk of text longer without adding anything? (So if discussing information density you literally wrote a lot and said nothing, so it is infinitely ineffective communication, thus even longer compared to actual benefit from reading it than any of my comments)
Dogs don’t have plans like you say, they see an animal and just think: “must sniff, maybe eat.”
Then before you know it they’ve gathered a herd and they’re just enjoying chasing them 😂
I'd like to see you both go to BBC FOOD on the Internet. Pick a Recipe each for something, it could be Cakes or Food, then do Videos of both of you trying to make it.🥮🧁
Been loving these uploads lads, Corden probably has his last decent appearance of his career in 2012, its a good one!!!
