David has an honours degree majoring in history, and is obviously a very smart guy. But to be fair, Lee did quite well in school, also has a tertiary degree, and is also an extremely smart dude. They banter together brilliantly.
Then Rob chips in with his impish humour and then the guests of course add to it - the show is just perfectly balanced. It's genius.

Yeah, but he's British, and everyone knows that you dont talk to the British about history, since they hate everyone and the history they teach over there is actually "history". Exemplified by the fact that David is pretty much an open racist, he spoke often of his fear of Chinese, and how he despises Russians. Miserable bastard.

Claudia Winkleman (assigning animals to people) is a TV and radio presenter, not a comedian. However, she is most definitely mad as a box of frogs! There's compilation of her WILTY appearances on CZcams, which I reckon you'd enjoy :) She's very good at this game!
Claudia adopts what I call the Columbo technique in that she is really intelligent but she downplays it so people underestimate her allowing her to catch them off guard.

I think it's fair to call her a comedian. She's made many appearances on comedy shows over the years, specifically panel shows. I would just clarify that she isn't a stand-up comedian or an actor comedian.

The part about Bob being arrested over wearing masks that I just now realized is, this was all happening during the height of the Troubles in Ireland and Castle Douglas is near Northern Ireland so it was quite possible the police initially thought they were IRA because who else wears masks in the middle of the day, which would explain the CID (plain clothes) being present.

So happy that you like WILTY, 8 out of 10 Cats-Countdown etc. I know you llike Greg Davies so I suggest you guys try and (somehow) get to see Greg in his own sit-com called "The Cleaner" It's an English version of a German comedy of the same name. It's a real Greg Davies scenario about a single, 50's ish guy whose job is the cleaner who goes to works after the Police and the CSI people have finished at the crime scenes. He cleans up all the blood, bodily fluid, bone and other bodily remains. Dark but very funny. guest cameos by Helena Bonham-Carter and other well known names such as David Mitchell litter the two series currently availaable. I give two thumbs-up and 5 stars, enjoy! Also congrats on 100K!

Bob wasn’t confused about Adil’s story. He was about to ask an important question and Lee cut him off. The time of day meant the open day would’ve been at night. The question is, why didn’t Adil’s father pick up on that?
Not uncommon for universities to have you travel the day before the open day and you stay at the uni halls overnight. I did it for a couple of open days.
When Peter Kay did his whole "Garlic Bread?" bit, he was getting them all the time so he did the same bit with "Plasma TV?"

The blonde Canadian is called Kathrine Ryan. She is a regular on UK TV for a while now, often on other shows, Cats does Countdown etc etc, very funny lass. She was great on Taskmaster too
Catherine Ryan (the Canadian lady) has lived and performed stand-up in the U.K. for quite a long time. So she wouldn’t be feeling blindsided in the slightest.
Is there any particular reason why you haven’t got around to Taskmaster yet? It seems like something that you’d both thoroughly enjoy. I mean Bob Mortimer, Lee Mack, Catherine Ryan, Josh Widecombe, Jon Richardson amongst many others, have all been contestants.

@@megs4193 I can’t claim to speak for the whole of the U.K. I can only give you my opinion. It’s not worth much though, as I’ve never seen Ponderland and I’ve kind of avoided anything Russell Brand since he began thinking of himself as a political commentator and was telling people not to vote. Don’t get me wrong, I’m quite partial to a bit of political satire, observational comedy and comedians that just plain rip the ‘p’ out of politics and politicians but he was taking himself too seriously. I would likely describe myself as being woke but I really wasn’t fussed one way or the other about the whole Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross scandal, where they phoned Andrew Sachs…there’s nothing wrong with a bit of shock value in comedy.
In general though, there are no doubt many that eagerly watch and enjoy everything he does, those who’ll be shouting about how he’s gone woke and those who won’t search him out but will but will watch him if he’s on.

About the Birmingham open university story: I don't know how it is in the UK, but in a lot of European countries pizza shops tend to be run by Asian immigrants. That is actually the most believable part of the story, though probably weird from an American perspective.
It would be a bit weird for most of the UK, and would confuse most brits, but it's not weird for Bradford. If you'd ever been there you'd think "yep, that sounds like Bradford, I'm convinced".
Bob has a point on the university thing though. If Adil's dad caught him in the street and told him to go to the university day, it must have been in the morning or lunch at latest. He wouldn't tell him to go to the open day in the late afternoon or evening. So he must have got the coach to Bradford in the morning and would therefore have time to come back. Whether there is actually an open day or not is irrelevant. So the timing doesn't add up
When I went to open days, I stayed over at the uni halls for a few of them the night before the open day, it wasn't that uncommon a thing to do.

When i saw him live steve hughes opened for him and did the opposite it was hilarious, while Steve performed reg would come on with his drinks like his butler and then when reg performed steve was the butler. Has to be the funniest live comedy show ive been to and ive seen live, lee evans, reginald d hunter, and rhod gilbert sides splitting with each one but regie the most
