Jen turning around and seeing Moss at the bar is the funniest thing I have ever seen and the hardest I've laughed at a TV show or movie.
The wheelchair ramp up and down is what killed me
I've watched this episode so many times and cry laughing! Moss behind the bar knocking glasses over is comedy gold!
The whole in the wheel chair and behind the bar bit is so funny
"Hold my hand. No, that's not my hand..."
It's the realisation that it's him, then the, "OK this is happening, but it's not the weirdest thing I've seen tonight, so a double whisky and a glass of white wine please"
Possibly the best episode of any comedy ever. The setup and payoff are unbelievable
I would definitely have it in the top ten
your right but its plural! set up's! and pay off's! sooo many, and the 1-2 punch of turning to see moss at the bar🤣 damn when i first saw this i was already laughing so hard i wasnt breathing so moss almost killed me!
I'm disabled (leg disabled, but not from acid) and I bloody love this episode. It gave me a catchphrase that's brilliant for breaking tension when somebody feels a bit awkward around me.
Edit. For clarity, I meant "I'm disabled!" in a frail Irish accent.
Not "I love willies".
Makes sense not from acid. The chances of that are... 100 to 1 😳
@@explodingplant2 I love how he just blurts out the most random reason...Acid! Haha 😄😄 It kills me every time!!! ❤️❤️
Agree. I suspect it's a catchphrase in a good many homes. Funny af.
"im disabled" in a high pitched Irish accent is my go to whenever i don't wanna do or answer something 😂
Yep! He sounds like a little Irish leprechaun, "I'm dishabled".
So glad it's not just me that does that 😂
What kind of disabled? "Leg disabled" 😂
Possibly THE funniest ever episode of ANY UK sitcom. Never get tired of it.
Agreed
Street Countdown and the internet black box episodes.
Could be the single best episode of a British sitcom ever
Blackadder goes fourth finale
Yeah but for different reasons - that is not fun 😢
@@bonscottslovechild yeah can't argue with that, if you want a laugh it's probs not the best choice 😅
Never managed to watch it without tearing up.
It is undeniably the most powerful moment in any british sitcom though.
Only fools and horses where del falls through the bar is up there.
Graham Linehan is a genius, Father Ted tops this though. Shame he has been cancelled.
Just a heads up. The actress playing Laura Knightly is Richard Ayoade’s (Moss) real life wife.
Daaaaamn! Good for him!
I love how, beforehand, Jen would’ve been completely horrified/bamboozled by it all, but after months spent with those two she’s totally unphazed by all the chaos going off at the theatre. Her reactions are 👌🏻. And the best moment is his breakdown followed by her immediate “TAXI”!!
I have noticed that in every episode of this series there is always a set up that builds to Jen shouting "Taxi"!
Like the smoking episode where they have to walk miles...ends with Taxi. ❤️❤️
"Yes, Miss?" is one of my favourite moments.
The whole disabled toilet subplot is the absolute peak of sitcom writing for me. I cry with laughter every time.
Roy's "disabled face" is hilarious. Watching him go up and down on the wheelchair lift had me utterly creased up.
"We're going to Manchester..."
Thanks, my brain went awkward dinner one as guy walked in for magazine and this reminded me what this is
@@mlee6050 ......did your brain have a stroke as you typed that?
The way it just drags on and on, killed me!
OMG I've JUST got the double meaning behind Work OUTING.
There isn't many true 10/10 episodes of any show, but this is absolutely one
This is by far the most popular IT Crowd ep.
You know you've seen something good when the live studio audience, yes it's filmed in front of a live audience, they cheer and whoop and give a standing ovation over the end credits. They know they've seen something special...
23:10 - "how can this get worse?" Oh you don't even know!
If it's NOT one of the best pieces of television ever made, I want to know what is. The set-up is exquisite, and the pay off is utter perfection.
This episode is comedy at its finest. Moss' cluelessness at the gay questions during the show, his attitude as he gets enrolled to work at the bar, Roy 'I'm disabled's pathetic look as he gets loaded up in the van and then back down... I'm still crying / laughing after seeing it so many times, also of course I'm laughing seeing you have fun watching it too. This is still so good.
Greatest episode ever 😂😂
Roy and Moss; the two most gormless, socially inept excuses for adult men manage to get themselves into the most hilarious predicaments, and this one is top tier. ROFL!!
And poor Jen's facial expressions - or lack thereof; classic!
The timing of these three is impeccable.
The best episode of one of the finest British comedies ever produced for television imho.
So glad you guys got to see it.
This is peak sitcom.
This and 'are we not men' are my favourites
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
I genuinely have a list to keep in football related conversations stored on my tablet for when I have to watch an England match, completely inspired by that episode. You have to swap ‘wenger’ these days, you can get away with changing it to ‘southgate’ and to expand I’ve added phrases such as ‘well you know, it’s a game of 2 halves’ to pad it out. I got to half time before I was rumbled…
This is known as being one of the best UK sitcom episodes ever. It has a 9.4/10 on IMDB too.
This episode sticks in my mind whenever I think of the IT Crowd.
It's comedy genius 😂
The acting and writing in this was outstanding but it has to be said anybody wanting to learn about how to edit a sitcom should study this episode of IT crowd, the timing of everything was on point and just brought everything together perfectly.
To give context, Manchester from London at night would take at least 5-6 hours.
doesn't matter how many times seen it over the years...still brings tears to my eyes.
I've been waiting for you guys to get to this one! The moment they bust into the toilet and Roy's on the floor, I start laughing and don't stop til it's over.
Jen turning to see Moss behind the bar is one of my favourite scenes in anything ever
Jen's sense of reality taking a massive hit from the chaos of Moss and Roy 😂 I'm sure you can see why people talk about this episode - legendary. Thank you so much for these videos 😁
WAIT TILL you see moss ,roy and gang attend a dinner party at jen's house! LMAO P E T E R F I L E!
Lol.. yes and thank god you didn't ruin the punchline of the whole episode... Oh wait, you did😮.....
The comedy timing, writing and build up of Moss saying "Yes miss" (at the bar) is only equaled (in comedy) to Manual, in Faulty Towers, bending down and saying "Basil".
Possibly my favourite episode aside from Jen's Internet talk. Glorious farce
Its one of the most perfect episodes of comedy tv in history imo
Probably the most funny episode of any sitcom. Love this episode.
The actress that plays Laura Knightley is Richard Ayoade's (Moss) wife Lydia Fox.
I did not know this. Best episode by far.
One of the best episode of any sitcom ever
This episode reminds me of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" comedy of errors. BEST EPISODE EVER
Watching you two dance around gay men doing theatre was amazing, you two are so worried about insulting anyone in your audience and it's kind of cute to watch. As a Bi man who did theatre for 10+ years you don't need to worry, the stereotype holds well. Girls and gays and a smattering of heterosexual's who are keen to experiment during parties 😂
Richard Ayoade is quite like Moss in real life.
This episode is one of the funniest bits of comedy ever. When that guy started mocking Roy for pretending to be disabled then he threw that genuinely disabled guy out of his wheelchair to the floor I laughed so much I was crying.
This is one of the funniest episodes of ANYTHING I've ever seen.
My older brother dropped by one day, and he had never seen The IT Crowd before. This episode happened to be playing on TV, and this was his introduction. Lucky man.
The transition between Jen and Moss in a uniform is gold.
The funniest joke in this is £450 being enough to cover rent in London.
The blooper reel for this show is worth watching and reacting to after you've finished the series. just as funny.
One of the greatest Comedy TV Episodes of ALL time! I saw the Moss being a worker coming but when Jen turned round to see him behind bar, still absolute hilarious brilliance! Genius!😂😂😂
Roy reverting into the panic fever when a 5 year old is caught in a very incriminating lie 😅😂
Also the woman who greets Roy with the pink hat is Richards wife in real life.
Richmond was actually right: they really shouldn't have gone to the theater :D
Can’t think of another show that has an episode as individually brilliant as that one
Arguably one of the best written pieces of comedy ever
This is the best ep by far
“Yes Miss” 😆😂🤣😍👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
This is the best episode of any sitcom in terms of just everything going wrong, just when you think it can’t get any worse, they hit another low.
IT Crowd is one of the best comedies to come out of my home country. Love it.
So when we suggested doing The IT Crowd after Father Ted, now you know why. This is probably the best episode, although that doesn't mean the rest are bad. Some great episodes coming up too.
One of the best half hours of British comedy this century.
this was one of the best episodes when everything came together lol
Of all of the Brit Coms- The IT Crown is the gold standard!
No one does situational comedy like the British.
so craic, is the irish term for fun. thats what we all say here XD its like, hey whats the craic? meaning hows the fun, or how has the fun been? so when he says mad for craic he means hes mad for fun
The best episode of an absolutely fantastic TV show. Just genius.
Amazing writing by the tremendous Graham Linehan.
He's a great writer who's now controversial for saying that women don't have male genitals!
I'm glad you guys didn't edit one of the funniest British comedies in 20 years.
Funniest episode ever. Still has me crying laughing. Brilliant 😅
I am gay and I hate the theatre!!! People half singing and half talking for 2 hours is a nightmare experience...
But do you love willies? 😊
@@jimmyh6601 Willie Nelson?
@@trentoncrisp he is very good!
I love the fact that the conversation prior to seven minutes happens...
You can't beat British humour, it's the best
Honestly my favourite episode of anything, ever! This is the first episode of the series I saw and I was instantly hooked, as you can imagine!
The next episode is also fantastic, and features two more Inbetweeners parents 😄
This is probably one of the best eps of the 4 seasons. Just amazing.
He most definitely was talking about the craic.
Absolute genius. Brilliantly written and delivered
Just the best episode of anything, ever.
ETS: "How can this get worse?"
GL: "Hold my beer"
SEE "BENIDORM" ITS NUTS!!!!! BRIT TOURISTS AT A 3-STAR, ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL IN SPAIN...AND HILARIOUSLY FUNNY CHARACTERS👍👍👍👍👍
I laugh out loud every time I watch this episode. So glad you guys enjoyed it as much as I did ❤
Great reaction lads. Thanks.
Once you're done with this series you've gotta check out black books. Made by the same guy as Father Ted and IT Crowd.
This episode makes me laugh so much, no matter how many times I see it. Classic!
I think this is probably the best episode in comedy history. Just beating the episode when Jen has a dinner party.❤❤❤🖥️😂😂🤣🍆🚑
I have watched this episode many many times and I still always lose it at the leg disabled prt.
Just watching you guys laughing at this reminds me just how funny the IT crowd was… I honestly think it could do with a new series
The wheelchair scenarios is arguably worse than pissing yourself or tearing your trousers down the middle. I’d feel too ashamed to run. Also the police would visit your home for being a public nuisance in a theatre. There’s no escape lol
the only chance of escape is to claim you did it for a bet...with the winnings going to charity.and you got a bit carried away..
I’ve had it happened to me. I worked in a leisure centre in a gym and the other toilets were out of order. I had a Body Pump class about to start and needed a quick very large number two. It wouldn’t flush and a lady in a wheelchair tried the door: locked. She waited while I kept flushing again and again but it was going nowhere. I panicked, covered it with toilet paper and walked quickly out of the door with my head down and went to teach my class. When I went to reception afterwards to input the numbers of people in my class she had complained to the manager about me, but they thought it was funny.
This is my absolute favourite episode of IT Crowd. The way the sequence of events was set up is no less than brilliant - I don't think I've seen a show do that so well before - even shows that I prefer.
Crying with laughter. How did I not watch this. So glad you're showing them. Hilarious 😂
This episode was hilarious 😂
This episode still rates as one of the funniest things ive ever seen... top 3 easily.
Just rewatched Life’s too short starring Warwick David featuring Johnny Depp, written and featuring Ricky Gervais and Stephen merchant, brilliant .
This episode is like if you went gold digging and you'd dug yourself into Fort Knox.
The extra great thing about this is the Series Producer is Ash Atalla is disabled and in a wheelchair. He's a brilliant producer of comedy. Ricky Gervais' thank you speech at the BAFTAs for The Office award when the whole team came on stage, Ricky mostly roasted Ash.
Yes, I was going to point out that it was Ash with the big moustache at the end, who goes "Well hello there...".
Manchester is about 3-4 hours away from London
This might be my favourite episode. Soo funny!
Widely recognised as the best episode of IT crowd
Hehe
They should have listened to Richmond 😂
I love this episode, some great comedy timing and writing… a few other episodes up there with this one:- the one where Roy has to give his jacket to the tea lady when she has collapsed and the dinner party
And the one where Jen borrowed the internet.
My favourite IT crowd episode of all time. 🤣🤣🤣
This and the dinner party episode have to be two of the funniest episodes of any sitcom ever!
Irish comedy and sense of humour is easily the best in the World. This episode is possibly the greatest piece of comedy writing for a sitcom. It's joke after joke and with the element of surprise. Genius.
As I said on the last IT crowd episode, this and the next episode are my absolute favourite!!
Richard Ayoade (Moss) is in the creme de la creme upper echelon of smart de smart people. Clever af. Chris O'Dowd (Roy) issss pretty Roy-like. Ayoade did a travel program with a guest star for each city called Travel Man and O'Dowd was his partner for Vienna. Holy shit some real life Roy antics accidentally ensue, including Roy's panicked screams
