Literally the day after it all came out in the papers about Jimmy's tax evasion he had to host "8 out of 10 cats" which is essentially a News and popular topic panel show.
Best roasting of Jimmy Carr EVER!!!
...Mostly by Sean lock
Yeah they should react to that ep. It’s iconic.
@@jjlonsdale5971 I feel like they did ... but that might have been someone else I saw
long way off how Merton and Hislop burned Angus Deayton at the stake for 30 minutes afetr his scandal. . Which was very nasty and stopped being funny after about 5 minutes.
@@Thisandthat8908
oh....I didn't know that the best roasting of Jimmy Carr EVER!!!
Was when someone I've never heard of roasted someone else I've never heard of.
Jimmy must have been livid!!!
6:02 if you were born in 92, Did you really have to count on your fingers to figure out what age you were in 2000!?
They're American - Bad at Maths, bad at Grammar
Well their education system is notoriously bad, but he makes up for it in other ways.
Ashes is a 5 test match series in Cricket with England v Australia. They take turns hosting it every couple of years
"Your Mum" and Jack Whitehall vs. Blobby are the two funniest moments in the history of the show
The voiceover at the end was Marcus from Big Brother.
Ashes is a cricket tournament played between Australia and England, played alternatively in the two counties, 5 venue and 5 days.
When hungry caterpillar doesn't get a point you can't take half a point for that xD
Woman in the clue was Leslie Ash, English actor. The blue ribbon was that worn by the Tory political party. "England Ashes Vic-Tory".
Leslie Ash was in Quadrophenia w Sting
Not the darts guy at the end... that was the UK Big Brother narrator.
The woman in the England Ashes Victory thing was Leslie Ash, a British actress. And James Blunt has many ,many albums and singles. You just don't know them. He has never stopped writing and recording. The best-selling artist album of this ten-year period title was won by James Blunt, with his debut album Back to Bedlam, released in 2004.The album sold 3.19 million copies,.
Wtf ladies? Proud to be one of the exclusive members of the 16% club!
RIP Darius from Pop Idol. and Tara Palmer Tomkinson.
I’ve never wanted to comment before on how you allocate points, but how dare you say an iPod is the same thing as a smartphone. 😂
8 Out Of 10 Cats S13E09 came out straight after the tax scandal. I suggest you watch it for some good laughs.
Alan asking whether you can get septums in Burberry is referring to the woman in the pic, Daniella Westbrook, who famously did so much coke her septum rotted away, leaving her with one big nostril...
I just love richard aoyade
my favourite “your mum” joke is actually one of Jimmy’s: “your mum is so fat, that when she fell down the stairs, I thought Eastenders was ending.” The first time I heard that, my asthmatic cousin offered me (a non-asthmatic) her inhaler 😭😭
"I've fallen down the Crazy Frog rabbit hole"... I bet you have, man 😀
For the record, on New Year's Eve 1999 i was in the pub until 4am the next morning. 2000 was the year i turned 20 in the February.
Over here you could notice the change as the black square was just so noticeable compared to as it was before.
I love how the points are awarded... Like Trump filling out his golf scorecard
'I'm gonna say the World Wide Web'..
Answer= I-pod.
'I said smart phone' ... 'half a point' 🤣
Some of them are ridiculous, but at least a couple of times they've given themselves half a point where they probably would've got a point outright in the real quiz. Also, they have two major handicaps in not being British and in trying to answer questions pertaining to a year that had just ended for the contestants but in the case of the first show was 20 years ago (these "decades" ones were also much closer for the actual contestants, mot to mention them actually having lived through all of them).
“And that’s our female audience gone” … joke’s on you! I’ve seen this episode multiple times already!
😂
Don't get us do they? 😂😂😂
I never minded Frmr Pres Bush finished the book before leaving. What could he have done by running out of the room panicked, scaring the kids. Instead, he finished what he was doing, and calmly excused himself. I'm not a fan of much of what he did during his terms, but I do think the way he handled that initial news was good leadership.
The voice at the end was the Geordie voice-over bloke off Big Brother. Couldn't tell you his name though
Definitely check out the Jerry Springer Opera over the Da Vinci Code. That’s absolute peak Americana right there
Half rice half chips is a pretty common Chinese or Indian takeaway option in some areas of the uk.
Maybe cos all us who was young in the 00s were downloading songs illegally on napster 😅
The voice at the end was the Big Brother voice
Lesley Ash was in an iconic movie called Quadrophenia, you guys should react to it x
I literally wrote a comment with the same sentiment, refreshed the comments and yours was the top of the list 😊
We're allowed to poke fun at Springer. He's a Brit, or at least he spent his first few years here. So we can razzle him a bit. :P
We can claim Steve-O too!
I can claim Jerry. He was ousted as our mayor, cuz he bought a prostitute with a personal check.
James Blunt's pretty underrated as an artist and takes the piss out of himself quite often on twitter, can be pretty funny... High is one of my favourites on Back to Bedlam. Goodbye My Lover and Tears and Rain were all o n that one. Though of course you couldn't get just songs so he probably did sell most of the albums based off of You're beautiful..
I highly recommend watching Jimmy Carrs interview on Diary of a CEO. You will learn about what happened with the whole tax debacle, and so much more. Possibly the most inspiring interview/podcast I have ever seen. It really made me warm to him, more than ever. He's an amazing, really smart man. Thank me later.
James Blunt was Hugh here in Europe, it was breaking all the records here.

Subway bread was Ireland, food theory did a piece about it.
1:47:27 I dispute the film answer, Avatar (2009) grossed £96.7m, Mamma Mia only did £68.9m in the UK.
I am convinced Shaggy got the idea for that song from a bit in Eddie Murphy's Delirious set.
Also have you ever seen the video of a bunch of Billy Bass singing Bohemian Rhapsody? It's great.
Jerry Springer The Opera was made by british comedian Stewart Lee* and composer Richard Thomas, who were protested and almost taken to court for blasphemy by various christian groups because of the content of it.
Jerry Springer himself apparently liked it.
*Stewart Lee is often considered a comedian's comedian. Name your favourite comedian and they're probably a fan of his.
His work is pretty innovative and jazzy, but kinda slow-burn and hard to penetrate if you're not used to his style.
You could also check out Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle (his BBC TV series of stand-up and skits), This Morning With Richard Not Judy (a surrealist parody of morning talk shows, with his former comedy partner Richard Herring, which had pretty dark and seedy material for a sunday morning show because the executives simply weren't paying attention), and about 20 years of comedy specials.
I know why you guessed Bush was reading a book about ducks to kids, for the same reason i guessed the same (even though i've seen this before), in a Scary Movie film, Leslie Neilson parodies Bush doing that lol.
You guys need to react to “The Mighty Boosh!” Incredible show, that is right up your alley
Agreed 100%, beat me to it, it explains what Noel was doing in the 2000s
Defo, it's mad and has lots of original music.
Lesley Ash (the ashes) was one of the female leads in The Who film Quadrophinia. Which if you haven’t seen it, is definitely worth a watch.
I love a couple of things.
When youre bewildered that somethings were big in the UK, like Blunt.
But then you'll miss something like the OJ chase, which is so in your wheelhouse its embarrassing.
Take the half points too, you were teens in another country, be generous, have fun.
But, look at your notes, was it your mum?
2012 is possibly my favorite overall BFQ. Or at least the one I rewatch most often. Can't wait! Best of luck going for gold! 🎉🥇
2 pics of Lesley Ash(The Ashes) cricket tournament.
"I'm in my 'nothing' zone. " so true.
So many people, usually women tbf, ask what you got planned and you reply 'Nothing' seem to think it's an invite to fill that time with something - but no.. when I say 'i want to do nothing' it's because I want to do exactly that, nothing.
14:50 "Warning: Disappointment ahead"
It's kinda sweet how good Jimmy is with kids. He kinda has funny uncle vibes.
React to , what did the British ever do for us ? Scientifically
there were mp3 players in phones and standalone loooooooooong before the ipod or phone.
And they could be loaded without forced itunes.
33:16 In simpler times, When CZcams wasn't a battle ground for 'this political idea' or 'that pop culture franchise'...
Apparently someone flew a burger up to Blaine in the box to taunt him lol
You should check out the sketch.
Mens Brain's vs Womens Brain's 😂
Next episode “we got the same letter the answer started, that’s half a point”
Ironically Jimmy Carr is Irish
Pretty sure Robert Langdon's profession was actually a professor of iconography, but I'm splitting hairs at this point.
Leslie Ash was a moderately famous sit-com actress in Britain in the 90s which is pretty obscure knowledge for you to get; and that's before it's a question about cricket! XD
Also, James Blunt may only have 2 good songs, but he is an absolute god on Twitter; definitely recommend giving his feed a look when you need a laugh.
We're still in the 2000s, we are in the year two thousand and twenty-four that's why it's the noughties it's a decade
2000s can be a century or a millennium depending on how you pronounce it, like 2999 twenty-nine ninety-nine or two thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine
The woman in the 2 pics was actress Leslie Ash = Ashes
James blunts now got a semi by the sea.
he gets slightly turned on by seagulls and waves.
And yes, Jerry Springer: The Opera was co-written by non other than comedian Stewart Lee. The complaints were mainly in relation to the show's satirising of far right religious issues, so it upset a few hardline Christian types. Not because it made fun of Springer himself.
Aww leave poor Darius alone, he’s no longer with us, RIP Darius 😞
The touch a truck is an American thing. We had it once but in USA there's lots of shite like that. I think the USA call it "Hands on a Hard Body"
Yeah boy here we go again 😊
How TF did Darius Danesh marry Natasha Henstridge off of Species after that Hit Me Baby One More Time performance? The world doesn't make sense
Jimmy's "tax thing" was that his accountant recommended a tax "loophole" that at the time was legal and he went for it, meaning he dodged a bit of tax. No big deal to anyone but his detractors, I did the same sort of thing several times as a contractor in construction.
Something about a duck ......the book was summit aboot a fekin goat lads ...half a point my arse you 2......ohhh I breathed ...haf a point 😂😂.. superb lads
I'm with many others here. Please guys stop taking half points. If Jimmy Carr gives points for it, you get the points. You're better than this half point stuff! Just like with the teams on the show, you should just worry about having fun. None of the points really matter on British panel shows anyway!
Man who cares? They're not actually competing for the prize.
@@miladeskandari7 Right, but if you've been watching all of these Big Fat Quiz videos of theirs, lots of people comment about them doing this.
Who cares man there just having a bit of fun
I guess they come from a generation where participation = trophy.
Yeah, how DARE they have fun with these reactions. 😏
Does just saying book score a quarter point?
I am around a quarter of an hour in, and by now, I can't help but think that these guys would probably love the movie Airplane.
.... You guys just gave yourself half a point for Smart phone, when the answer was iPod?.. I think you are being QUITE... something.. Either Generous, OR.. Drunk.
Spencer is getting progressively more angry over the years 😂
Give yourself a free point for the Madonna in Playboy from last time.
I remember certain pockets of hipsters acting like it was the 1900's and referring to it as the "aughts" 😅
you should watch the mighty boosh
Love to Warwick Davies, star of idiot abroad 3 whose wife has died.
You guys gave yourselves 8.5 pts extra. Yikes.
Half a point for saying ‘smart phone’ when the answer was ‘iPod’??? Really???
*movie poll : the da Vinci code
You have to watch the 8 out of ten cats about his tax scandal
An ipod is not a smart phone
Lesley Ash actress
Isn't saying "the two thousands" the same as saying "the eighteeen hundreds"? It's still the "two thousands" now. So "noughties" or something like it is arguably necessary and is accurate.
James blunt sold like crazy. he was HUGE. You kept naming american artists. British Artists sell better in britian.
Please realise whenever you find yrself saying something like is Cricket their baseball,, is rugby their NFL,, is it their version of shark tank 😂 please reverse the subjects bc just like time and trains UK invented it first 😅🎉
Correction: James Blunt has no great songs
Childrens book does not score any points
Jimmy had the choice to either pretend it didn't happen or take it head on. And he tells in interviews that his manager(?) strongly advised him to not do the first.
But he also talks about the experience. It's on youtube somewhere. It's a long on stage interview.
also it was the shady but not criminal version of tax either avoidance or evasion.
It was a form of tax avoidance as tax evasion is always illegal.
Danielle Westbrook's septum fell out after doing too much of the devil's dandruff.
Was it your mum?
BFQ panels matter. This was a top tier one for sure.
One of my favourites of the bug fat quizzes because everyone on the panel is just so good. There‘s no weak point here
Of course you got your highest total when you constantly give yourself points for wrong answers. It's pretty sad and pathetic tbh.
You guys are being naughty?
Spencer has lost weight, well done you xx
Can’t stand that show
If its ,, legally,, a cake, why ?? Is it always in the biscuit aisle !!??? 🙄🟠
Oh yeah 🤔
Was it your mum?
but seriously, was it your mum?
I saw your mum in B&Q sir…
