Thank you Kabir for being there on Christmas. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but for those of us without anyone or anywhere to be, it's nice to find you there giving me a slice of Christmas. Love you for this, so sweet of you. â€ïž Merry Christmas đ
I tested positive for covid yesterday so I'm in isolation for the 2nd Christmas in a row (last year I was made aware of a close contact exposure on the 24th).
I've been missing my family a great deal and have been mainly bummed out, but have felt distinctly merrier and brighter with Mr. Kabir's videos today.
Kat Harrell, from this Cat to another, Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Kat! Iâm sorry youâre alone on Christmas đ sending you love and support today. Iâm not alone but I kinda am. My family is here but Iâm disabled and feeling really sick so Iâm alone in my room on CZcams. â€ïž
@@cattfink5036 I hope youâre feeling okay. Merry Christmas đđ
I can so relate. It never used to be like this and I never, never, ever thought it would be. Before long nobody will even celebrate Christmas.
Merry Christmas Kat
Itâs kind of an American tradition when you have a family to go around your town and look at the lights. Thereâs always someone in town who goes above and beyond to the point where they make the local news and stuff! Good times!
Merry Christmas! There's a house in town near me that has a sign that says listen to the lights tune into 96.7 FM. Its cool to see the lights flashing to the music from the warm comfort of your car. In my home town my parents won 1st place in the light contest at least 3-5 years. It was always fun setting up the decorations as a family.
Couldn't sleep tonight, so figured I binge watch your videos. Which I enjoy. God bless you and yours during this very special time of year.
Thanks so much Renee :) Happy holidays!
@@kabirconsiders God bless you and yours.â€
"must be a neighborhood thing cause that's a lot of yard." Welcome to America Kabir. We have an acre lot, my son has 20 acres...lol. We have several neighbors locally that are worthy of a drive-through on Christmas. Merry Christmas
Just watched this now in August and it makes me very happy! Miss not having family but it reminds me of the lovely Christmas spirit and wonderful warm memories.
Love hearing your insight!
The one u said was ur favorite from Utah was mine too! It was pretty, not tacky! Love the way it faded ti the music! The color scheme was so tasteful, fromcall white to pops if color! Music just was the cherry on top! Could watch for hours! Well done!!
My favorite house was the first one shown. Very beautiful and low key and compared to all the others, understated. Absolutely gorgeous! Loved it.â€ïž
Watching kabir while my family opens presents lmao. You donât realize how much you find your way into our personal life lol
"all those tiny lights on the house" are actually lasers that are projected from out in the yard by some rather normal looking lsolar walkway light housings. but inside, multiple lasers with spreaders so that the beams will spread out like stars .
I really like those, they add a cool effect and don't take a ton of work. Plus the kid dancing in it was hilarious.
Merry Christmas Kabir. They r set to flash w the music
The next to the last display is definitely my favorite.
The electric bill is definitely affected by the lights in a big way
Merry Christmas mate
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! đ fell asleep for a minute watching one of your video and woke up to a new one
We have so many amazingly decorated homes near where we live in Charleston, SC. People here take Christmas lights SERIOUSLY! đđ„łđ
I saw them in a video by KidBehindACamera, they ARE gorgeous!
Thanks for playing the music! Most don't not realizing that usually every house has its own music.
Merry Christmas, Kabir.
Merry Christmas Kabir And hopefully a happier and healthier New Year
In America our zoo, down towns and parks do it as well.not just homes. In az we have a 20 mile state fair grounds that has a huge display of light around the world
The one that you liked best was also my favorite.đ
Merry Christmas to you as well!
Merry Christmas đđ€¶đ»đ
Yes...very expensive electricity bills!!
Some neighborhoods in Southern California pick a theme...and the homes on that block decorate, incorporating the chosen theme...
An example could be âCandy Cane Laneâ or âChristmas Bell Laneâ...
Itâs phenomenal and a highly anticipated
annual event!! â€ïžđ đŒâ€ïžđâ€ïžđ€¶đ»â€ïž
I am glad you reacted to this. I was going to suggest you react to American Christmas displays. When I lived in Florida I saw a lot of these over the top displays, probably more so than I ever see in NY because of the weather. There was one house in particular that worked on putting up their display for several months. They had a separate utility box to handle the electricity for it they did have a donation box to help with the expense.
2nd to the last 1 was my favorite.
Merry Christmas, Kabir!! đđ»ââïžđđ
yo man I wish you knew how hype I get every time you post a vid. Keep it up and merry Christmas Kabir!
You should watch a US show called The Great Light Fight. It comes on each year and it is a contest where three families will compete for money and a trophy for the most elaborate Christmas light displays. Talk about people being obsessed with lights , you'll be in for a real treat!
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas Kabir. I hope your day has been great.
Before Hurricane Irma hit Florida, my aunt's neighbor always decorated the inside of his garage with an awesome Christmas diplay. Typically he would start building and installing around Halloween and open it on Thanksgiving night, and open each night through New Years. It was always fun to see it when I visited for Christmas. Not sure if he's still alive or whoever lives there still does it.
In north Carolina, there's a town called mccadenville where the entire town decks all their houses up with Christmas lights. The whole town is powered by a mill. But it's something they do every year, there's a line on the highway to drive through it. It's something every family does w kids, drive through it.
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year
Merry Christmas Kabir. People who do Christmas lights like this do it for others! They don't do it for themselves....it is a labor of love for their communities.
Exactly!! đ
The First one was a re-inactment of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation..lol, Well done. Happy Christmas Kabir, tis the season for Holiday/winter/New Year reactions.
Came to check if anyone said this. Just got done watching haha. Yearly tradition to watch that movie
omg Kabir you just caused me to realize that you may not have "Christmas laser light projectors" in the UK! at 3:16 you said "now covering the house in all those tiny lights must have taken forever" but it's not covered in tiny lights that someone has to put up one at a time... it's just one light in the front yard and when the light is far enough away from the house stabbed in the front lawn this "round ball-like light" projects tiny Christmas-colored dots on the walls of the house kind of like a laser toy for cats but it's tiny tiny tiny laser dots all over and a ton of them too and some of the light laser projectors even move around on the walls like millions of laser dots and the dots move all over your house it's really cool
They usually start in July have to have extra fuse boxes put in because it over whelms standard fuses
I grew up with a neighborhood just up the road where all the houses on the street decorated for Christmas (Started with one house the Rogers) Every year cars from everywhere drove though to see (this was back in the 60's & 70's) It was beautiful. Some of those in that video were over the top though. Imagine living across the street from the house with the million white lights and dancing lights across the front yard? Yes electric bills are huge. Merry Christmas đđđ đ
My parents live in a cul de sac that is like that, it is only about a dozen houses but every one is decorated and people drive around it all evening.
Merry Christmas đđ!!!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
I am watching this the day after Christmas, too much going on that day to watch much internet. As some said below on how some of the lights work, it is great.
Merry Christmas to you and yours! đ€ đ đđ âïžđđ
Merry New Year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
We have a "Christmas Tree Lane" in my neighborhood that the city sets up on this nice long grass area people usually play with their dogs or kids in summer and spring. There are neighborhoods that people drive through just for the lights on houses though.
Kabir here is the states we have a TV show called The Great Christmas Light Fight. Itâs been on for a few seasons. Itâs a competition where the more extravagant the better. The winner wins $50,000 on each episode. One of the places that I remember on the show had 4 million lights. If you wanna see lights check out that show if you can.
A street near me the whole street has great decorations.
Merry belated Chritmas!
I feel bad cuz I wuz traveling all season and did no lights, so all I got to say is MORE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS MAKES A BETTER WORLD!
Just putting lights on three columns on my front porch just about KILLED me. I can't imagine tackling this kind of thing! And the blinking lights would drive me CRAZY. Solid whites does the trick for me. Same for the tree. Blinking lights nearly give me a seizure.
Merry Christmas Kabir
The more elaborately synchronized displays are often programmed by homeowners who are amateur or professional computers programmers. Some homeowners also synchronize music that can be heard on car radios. The radio frequency is posted on signs. Belated Merry Christmas from Tallahassee in the Florida Panhandle. By the way, I recommend Tallahassee as a place to visit to see a very different Florida (hills, massive oak trees, 70,000 university students, festivals, and more). Never, ever visit in the summer, however. It makes Orlando summer weather look pleasant.
We had a neighborhood that did Christmas lights competition n I always voted for surfing Santa.
Take a boat around a harbor and the house's have the back done up just as beautiful.
Some people have big front yards (front gardens). There are neighborhoods that really get into elaborate Christmas decorations. Some are called candy cane lane or other Christmasy name. People will slowly drive through these neighborhoods or if the weather permits it, they will walk through them to see the decorations up close. The second house shown in this video is just one house with a big yard.
The one in Dayton, TX [outside Houston] is in my home town!!!! They competed a few years ago on the ABC show, "The Great Christmas Light Fight" AND WON!!! Unfortunately in the fall of 2020 they had a fire and are still fighting their insurance company so haven't been able to put the display up for the last 2 Christmases. Theirs was very nice and a walk through display! Hopefully they will be able to sort it out and get their home fixed. đČ
Merry Christmas Man
That second house is literally my neighbor right now. Yesterday, he was still adding lights. Iâm half expecting a visit from the fire department before New Years.
I've got a real Christmas tree I've been growing for 3 yrs it has lights on it all year round but I change them from white to coloured next Christmas I'm going to go see northern lights at Christmas đ
I loved the one at 6:50 it was so tasteful, though I think it looks much better white than when it is red or green.
Love the first one is a parody Lampoonâs Christmas Vacation
The first family in this video are imitating the movie, "Christmas Vacation", with their facial expressions.
I know we're I'm from some electric company will work with people who put up Christmas lights. A family in our town have done it for over 30yrs 3 houses parents and their children. Parents have past so now the son and grandchildren do now.. its a tradition for us to drive by. I went growing up, took my children now I take my granddaughter. Love small-town living
I handle billing at an electric utility. I can confirm even lighting that isn't over-the-top causes a pretty big spike in usage.
I can tell you that we have close to 75k led lights and 10 huge blow-ups. We run our lights from sun down to sun up and are bill is only about 18 dollars more for the month.
Is Christmas the best?! YES! YES IT IS!!! đ€©đ âïžđđđ
Happy Christmas, Kabir! Happy Christmas to everybody reading this, as well! If you don't celebrate Christmas, happy weekend, then!

Lawrence from Lost In The Pond posted a new video on Christmas lights recently. Kind of mind blowing!
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to "Lost In the Pond" right now. Gotta love Lawrence! Merry Christmas my friend!!!đČđ đ€¶đ
I live in a rural area but most of the houses out here do allot of decorations. We love driving around and looking at them all. Our house is all lite up as well. It's allot of fun.
Merry christmas. Like most things here in America many people figure if you're going to do it go big or don't do it at all.
And I bet you'll be shocked when you learn that last house is actually in New York City, not in Manhattan but in the Bronx.
Merry Christmas. Alot of these displays have music synchronized(just tune your radio to the appropriate frequency). Neighborhoods compete for best block/ neighborhood (the winners don't have to pay their electric bill or get a discount).
Happy holidays Kabir! That next to last one was elegant. I wish I could do that lol
Setting it up takes a huge effort for sure, but, when they're not up, where do you store it?
You should see the Star Wars themed house!
Watch the movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation to understand the exaggerated reactions of the first video. Oh, and yes, they are neighborhood projects. People put their lights up after Thanksgiving and they stay up until New Year's Day. All of us pile in our cars and drive through the neighborhoods just to see the lights.
I spent the 25th alone too. No only is 12-25 Christmas but it is also my birthdayâŒïž k
Some displays even have synchronized music and are broadcast so you can hear on your car radio as you drive past!
I thought you was thinking how ridiculous it was more than beautiful, but I agree with your last comments. Even more beautiful than the lights are the people that make it possible in order to make others happy. Thank you for showing this. I was hoping I'd get to see some biggies and I did. đ
Yeah the electric bill goes up but I think if they re smart to synchronize music to lights, they probably have a generator running them or a separate control panel.
Hi Kabir... the opening scene to this video is a spoof of the house lighting scene from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation movie with Chevy Chase and Beverly D"Angelo. It is a classically funny movie that you should watch sometime if you are so inclined. If you see that movie you will understand the humor in the opening scene of this video.
That movie is so much fun, you can watch it my time of the year! đ The ârequest for Tylenolâ is CLASSIC!
If you want to see something crazy Kabir, I just sent you a Instagram dm with a short video clip with the USS Wisconsin decked out in lights. Thatâs right a battleship decorated in lights!
Kabir, Thank you for brightening up my Merry Christmas Day with your reactions to the best Christmas house Light Decorations in the USA.
Beautiful. I really don't like the blow up decorations though.
A couple of those houses were on the Great Christmas Light Fight.
Your average roof-lining strands donât take TOO long because once you put the nails up one year, theyâre in place for subsequent years. And net lights help a lot for covering bushes or several square feet of area. But wrapping things in a string of lights, like columns and such are quite time consuming. Trees are time consuming as well.
I would hate to see their electric bill for sure!! But is wonderful they share it with everyone like that!! Merry Christmas!! :)
There's programs for tour computer that you can download or buy
I wonder what songs the house in white lights were programmed to.
Merry Christmas! You should listen to the metal cover of Youâre A Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Small Town Titans!
Merry Christmas Kabir!! Wishing you and your family all the best!
Yes, power bills go sky high, but they think it's worth it. Not everyone in the neighborhood puts on a light display and most are not this extravagent, but you can see a lighted tree through the window in most houses.
Lots of people, including (apparently all) in this video, have their lightâs synchronized to the FM station you set in your car.
The bill depends. A guy I know that puts up an insane amount of lights here in Northern California says he pays nothing extra, but itâs because heâs got solar panels. Another guy just sees an increase of 50 bucks.
Yes the bills be high.
Kabir......are these examples of what your neighborhood looks like in England? This is fairly common here in the U.S.
Lot of those people have professionals put the things up and have a electrician set up the way they work. Just think 2 1/2 acres not sure how big that is in England.
I wonder where on earth the store it all for the rest of the year! And how do they even begin to set it all up? It just seems like WAAAAAY more work than I would ever care to expend.
Merry Christmas
I don't know if the show's still there or not there used to be a show just about Christmas lights
But I don't know if it's still on or not
