Yay, for Leavenworth making the #1 spot. They leave the Christmas light up through February to help people come see them without the HUGE crowds of December.
🎄 🎅 🤶 December is more magical a time to go. But parking is a nightmare and the crowds are heavy.

I live in Michigan and go to Bronner’s every year. It’s basically like a Walmart sized Christmas store. You can get personalized ornaments and stuff like that. It’s definitely cool. And Frankenmuth in general has Bavarian-style architecture.

Bronner’s is amazing. this video doesn't do it justice on just how huge it actually is. Frankenmuth is a bit touristy, but is very fun and I enjoyed going there as a kid. Zehnder’s and Bavarian Inn are fantastic restaurants and the whole thing is very cozy to visit around the holidays.

Branson, Missouri is year round fun town. It is sometimes know as the little Las Vegas of the east. It has many shows with famous stars and many place to eat and shop and have fun. Jono, that Durango, CO train ride at 8:40 can be seen on the @AdventureEveryDay channel from within the Train itself. The video is entitled "Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Colorado | Historic Steam Train Cascade" It's about a 45 minute video, and was posted last Februrary. But this route between Durango and Siilverton is in western Colorado and runs north and south for about 40 miles. Durango ie kinda down in the flatter valley area, but Silverton is up in the mountains and this train ride reminds you of the Old West mining days.

I live in Ohio and have been to Clifton many times. It truly is a winter wonderland. In the area I live in (southern Ohio), when I was young, there was a farm where the lights first went up to celebrate his son returning from WWII. Over the next several decades it expanded. It covered the area the size of about 15 acres and covered both sides of a small valley. He had installed cement walk-ways up and down the hills with a small hot chocolate stand at the end. The inside of his house was decorated to a wonderful 1940s Christmas feel. Everything he put up and all the electricity to light it all was paid for by donations of the visitors. I looked forward to it every year as we went there on Christmas Eve. Then came back to my grandparents house and the festivities would begin. It's one of my favorite memories from growing up. I don't know how your daughter spells her name so I don't want to muck it up, but I'm with her, Christmas is my favorite time of year. The more lights, ornament and deco you have, the better.

When I lived in Florida people from more northerly states joked about it not seeming like Christmas there. The original Christmas was in an area more like Florida than Maine. I remember the palm trees decorated with lights and floats anchored in rivers and lakes also decorated with lights. Its warm enough for live outdoor nativity scenes.
I do prefer a white Christmas with snow on evergreens and mountain tops, though.

    I’ve been
I super familiar with three of these locations. I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska and North Pole is just a short drive away. It’s a really awesome place to visit. I grew up in Michigan and my best friend since 9th grade, and her husband, live in Frankenmuth, Michigan and it’s pronounced “Frank-in-mooth” not “Frank-in-mewth”. She worked at Bronner’s in their accounting department. That store is unbelievably gigantic! It literally takes hours to walk through and see everything. That seven minute Christmas music is played on by the chimes in the clock tower, and it’s cold there in the winter, people mostly like don’t want to be standing outside for an extended period of time. Lastly my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter live about twenty five minutes away from Leavenworth, Washington and my daughter-in-law’s mom and step dad just moved from Leavenworth to be closer to them. Leavenworth is up in the Cascade mountain range and they get a lot of snow. That doesn’t stop people from visiting, especially between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s a beautiful place and they didn’t mention it, but there’s a special Snow Train that runs during that period so people from the Seattle area don’t have to drive up into the mountains.

When you were talking about a log cabin out in your back yard, it reminded me of when I was in my teens and my best friend and I had a cabin, that was actually an old work shop, that my father let us use to hang out in. It wasn't log, but we installed a wood stove, some bunks we could sleep on, a table and some benches. It was a pretty cool place we used for years to hang out, work on various projects, process game, experiment with cooking wild stuff, grow a small garden.

After 10 minutes, she was infected with the spirit. When we were done, I had spent hundreds of dollars and had fears whether I would fit everything into my car! So much for, 'we don't need anything for Christmas.' LOL There are also amazing restaurants in the town--that was amazing, too.

In our town, there is one neighborhood that every Christmas Season they change the name of their street to Candy Cane Lane. To purchase a house on that short one block long dead end street, you have to sign a contract and agree to decorate your home every Christmas. They all go ALL OUT WITH BEAUTIFUL DECORATIONS! It's great that you both talk; that what's good about the content. You're a good dad and have raised good kids. Cheers to you! I'm from Boston, Massachusetts. It's hard to say Massachusetts so we usually just say Mass. I'm from Boston, Mass. Ya'll are great! Merry Christmas

Grew up an hour away from salvange in california. The sweets shops there are to die for. Now I live an hour away from branson. That place is busy all year round. Lots of stuff to do in branson.

If you like Christmas towns and displays, you guys will LOVE a show called The Great Christmas Light Fight. It's two hosts that go around the country and judge elaborate Christmas Light displays by regular families. It's completely BONKERS in the best way possible. ❤🎄❤
I'm sure you can find some clips or episodes online or even here on CZcams.

You keep up the banter with your daughter. It's part of the reason I subscribe. I have 2 myself. One is a pilot and one manages a chain of fashion stores, so you talk away. I always talked to my girls . It separates the dads that just get by from the great dads. If they don't like it go somewhere else. The lack of a beard suits you well.

11:00 sad they neglected to say anything about the reindeer at Santas house in North Pole Alaska. Inside the store is amazing as well. North Pole AK is a neat little town with light poles painted like candy canes, all year its Christmas. I was born there so I am a bit biased.

    OK, Jono, practice time: mass-uh-CHEW-sets.
Williamsburg, VA, during the rest of the year, is a chance to see what it was like in the town during the settling era several hundred years ago.
I rode on the Durango train to the other end of the line at Silverton severalsummers ago during vacation. Beautiful area during any season.
You missed the totally unexpected pronunciation of Natchitoches, Louisiana--NACK-it-ish (Parish, parish seat. Counties in other states are parishes in Louisiana [and boroughs in Alaska].).
North Pole, AK, is the one and only suburb of Fairbanks. Remember Fairbanks from a few days ago, Jono? The Fairbanks area is one of the best places in N. America to see the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis.
St. Augustine, FL, is one of the oldest cities in the US, having been chartered on Sept. 8, 1565.
The lights which are called faralitos in Santa Fe are called luminaria in other places around the country.
Vail, CO, is a winter resort town for the rich, and is jawdropping in any season.
The "high horses" of Woodstock, VT, appear to be nearly as big as the Clydesdales, but without the hairy hooves. Nevertheless, they're pretty big--like a high chair.

Very beautiful and well done guys.
You sounded pretty impressed by the twenty-three inches of snow at one of your featured cities, I live in Provo, Utah, last year Provo received 900 inches of snow, you can catch some clips of the snow fall here on CZcams.
Utah's name has come up when discussing sites for the winter Olympics. Utah's altitude is about four thousand feet above sea level
