I'll never tire of being able to tell people i was there when he hit that volley vs Liverpool. Amazing player unplayable on his day.
Tony Yeboah was the best finisher I've ever seen. And you will always been welcome in our great city of Leeds.LEGEND 100%
Would be good to have him back for the first home game of the season. Elland Road is still buzzing from his goals twenty five years later.
Unbelievable goal scorer !
Tony Yeboah will be in the history of Leeds forever.. what a Legend and a Gentleman
Couldn't buy this guy today. What a legend!
He was my first football hero as a kid, and this is the first interview I've ever seen with him. I smiled through the whole thing. He's the best striker I've seen at Leeds in my time, I just wish he could have stayed a few more years!
Ageeed
Love it! I was exactly the same, the man was my idol
Same for me
At that time he was much better than the expensive players in bayern Munich but sorry ,the management' officials filled with hatred for African players almost spoilt his career
Me too i smiled over n over
A real legend and in over 50 years of supporting Leeds, my favourite player.
George Graham was an unpleasant custodian of a good Leeds side, a talentless coach who could not deal with better players than he ever was. Yeboah was sheer class and a true gentleman, and Graham couldn't accept that.
@The Real stan fam He was a boring negative twat, probably still is.
Yeboah was awesome, I was lucky enough to see all of his goals live. He could hit a ball so hard with both feet not many players have ever been able to do that.
Always welcome at leeds United Mr Tony Yeboah 💛💙
Spectacular goals
Yeah both feet with so much power is something else.
Loved Tony Yeboah.Always will. Unforgettable. Great player.Great person. Different Class.
5-6 years old When he signed my dad just getting me into football/Leeds Yeboah was instantly my childhood hero from then
Same with me in Frankfurt. He and Okocha where my first football idols. On the street i was always Yeboah and Okocha! I had the luck to shake his hand last week in Frankfurt and make a picture with him and the other Frankurt Legends.
That Wimbledon goal is always my pick for best goal ever.
Liverpool one was mine
@@b7846 Great goal. I used to watch the Premier League highlights on the ABC and I saw the Wimbledon one and I thought at first I was seeing things - another sensational goal in such a short space of time. I think that initial draw drop seeing the Wimbledon goal puts it just past the Liverpool one for me: once was amazing but then to follow it up a few weeks later.....incredible.
@@AnthonyKiyola he was a specialist in some goals
I was walking back from the chip shop as a kid when I heard my stepdad screaming through the window after he scored that goal against Liverpool
@@garyclark2506 I’m assuming he’s a Leeds fan..... then again if it were my dad and if he supported Liverpool he would have been screaming "Why didn't you save it David James? You useless....." 😉
Some of Tony’s goals were brillant and ridiculous. He will always be a legend at Leeds.
A wonderful and a truly inspiring player with such a powerful body and mind to light up the beautiful game. Being a Leeds fan he gave me so many fantastic memories. I wish we had a few more like him now in the Leeds squad we would be top of the league.
Lethal what a striker, he had it all.
Much love Tony
Just the best striker I’ve seen at Elland Road. Pace, power, strength, sublime finishing and supercool in front of goal. Monaco away is a special memory. Just majestic.
His goal against Liverpool was world class. I’m a Liverpool fan, 46 years of age and still remember it like it was yesterday. An incredibly powerful and gifted player.
Mmmm a great legend indeed. 😊
Tony Yeboah was special. Very talented player. Power, strength, pace, skill, technique, he had it all. LEGEND!
Best striker I've ever seen in my time as a Leeds fan. 47 years old now and no ones come close.
Peter Lorimer. Allan Clarke. Mick Jones.
When I think of a beautiful goal, its Yeboah’s strike against Wimbledon every time.
I remember that goal he scored against Liverpool, absolutely brilliant !
Was behind the goal 👍 😂
People, all around England still scream his name when scoring goals like he used to
Legend!
I remember Tony Yeboah. He was the best striker ive ever seen. He had skill, power and finesse. He was amazing.
What an amazing human and player. The difficulties that foreign players have in any country, is a part of football that most people don't know about.
I was a 21 year old Leeds fan working in a bar in Faliraki, Rhodes when I watched the Liverpool goal. My boss had wangled a stream somehow and put it on the big screen.
Place was packed, but can't have been many Reds (of either club) 'cos it erupted when he scored.
Unbelievable goal, and night.
First time watching a documentary on this Legend Tony Yeboah. He is very calm. I believe he can help train good strikers for the Ghana National Team.
He was an awesome presence to see out on a pitch, i'll never forget seeing that volley against Liverpool in the stadium.
This dude.
Scored a absolute belter against us. Brilliant player.
Two deadly goal scorers i remember is yeboah and viduka both of them was my idols I loved watching both play
What a shot Tony Yeboah had! Absolute beast. Thunderbolt shot☄️
My favourite player ever 💛💙
What an amazing player he was for the mighty whites. His goals against Liverpool and Wimbledon remain the greatest goals in the premier league.
He once made a header against VFB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga I still believe most other strikers couldnt have kicked as strong as he did with his head. Thanks for the memories Tony! Also a true Eintracht Frankfurt legend Yeboah's wittnesses Zeugen Yeboah's United Colors of Bembeltown
The power and precision of his shots were just unreal. I wish I was watching the Premier League back when he played (didn't start watching until the early 2000s - right before relegation).
Priceless in today's game
I like that a legend like schemeichel is talking so good at a legend like yeboah
Hopefully we have more players like him in Ghana ✊🏿🇬🇭
I'm a Man Utd fan and love this guy :)
Top man, a gent and a goal scoring genius.
The goal against Liverpool was the best volley I’ve ever seen, absolute class, in a tight fought game it was gonna take something special. One chance one strike and boom, the technique was world class
Its same as what essien score against barcelona in the champions league but on the opposite site of the field. Essien scored d volley with his left foot on the left side of the penalty box from a deflected lampard short/cross n Yeboah did his amazing strike on d left side but further back
The goal he scored against Wimbledon is probably top 5 I've ever seen. It's absolutely criminal that it wasn't in the running several years ago for best Premier League goal ever. Everyone talks about the Liverpool goal, but for me, that one was better.
Yeh it's a tough one to call both great goals I think if the Wimbledon one was against a Man U it would probably been talked as best ever .
I agree the Wimbeldon one was better
Tony Tony Yeboah, Tony Yeboah, Tony Yebooooah, LEEDS!!
Anthony Yeboah and Abedi Peke, the Greatest Ghanaian footballers ever. Yeboah the Goal bomber ... Absolute Legend Yeboah Tony...
In every club he played he become a legend ! Salud from Hamburg to Acra
Thank you for making this video and sharing his story! I didn’t know it in this detail, he’s SUCH A GOOD MAN.
And. What. A. Player.
What absolutely incredible goals.
I was sat behind the goal when he hit that volley against Liverpool. I knew I’d just witnessed an historic moment in Leeds history. Amazing goal something I’ll never forget.
Tony Yebouh one of the best players in the world what a true legend
LEGEND AFTER JUST 3 SEASONS. ONE OF THE FEW. THANKS TONY, THANKS FOR THE SUPERGOALS!!! MOT
Mr. Yeboah speaks Asante English. Love him.
🤣😂
Tony's hat-trick for Leeds against Monaco was the highlight of his time at Leeds United.
He could have filled the goal of the season top 5 himself at one point - if he was striking the more modern footballs the keepers would have no chance
A Leeds legend and allways will be
we we always remember you Tony Yeboah. true great
if he was playing today , he would be one of the most expensive players in world football , leeds got him for 3.4 million how times change
Premiership legend. Can't think of 1 fan that doesn't like him
What a lovely man.......jeez I wish he still played for us 💙💛💙💛💙💛MOT
Growing up, Tony Yeboah was a player that every one wanted to and dreamed of being. He was goals.
A fabulous striker, scored some stunning goals. George Graham made a huge mistake. Tony Yeboah is never forgotten
One of the greatest privileges of my life was having a 1995-96 season ticket, seeing his goal against Man it's and being at eye level from the side when he smashed the volley past David James
Yeboah the highlight reel, love seeing him beast in those cannon ball shots from far out
Loved watching Tony when at Leeds. There was a real buzz. Awesome. Thanks for the memories, Tony.
I am not a leeds fan but this guy was a legend. I really loved watching him. I was so suprised when he was moved on and don't fuly understand why even now.
LEGEND FOREVER. MOT
Made my childhood. Love the man.
Tony was a spectacular goal scorer .... he was inclined to take a chance AND more often than not he would hit that net ! Leeds Utd hall of fame along with the rest of them ! Superb strength and skill 👍
What an absolute legend
Yes Barry you are...oh you mean Yeboah, yes him too. 😂👍

Also his wife constantly ringing Howard Wilkinson and making constant demands.. Great player l still have his name on one of my Leeds United tee shirts. Thank you for those wonderful memories Tony.

He has the best Leeds goal of all time
Brilliant! Fantastic interview! Well done Garry Al Smith for this interview
Wonderful Yeboah. I would always hear in the radio as a young boy that Anthony Yeboah has done it again and I kept wondering because I couldn’t watch the game. Glad to have these highlights.
I always called my #Ghanaian friends #AbediPele or #TonyYeboah the return smile I get from them were priceless …we all proud of you Mr T❤⚽️ long live 🙏 thank you for sharing it 🤗
Tony Yeboah joined Leeds in January 1995 and was instrumental in helping the club qualify for the UEFA Cup at the end of that season. He also helped Leeds reach the 1996 EFL Cup final, but sadly that is where the story ended.
Best player
"YEBOAH!" ☢⚽️
I was there that 🌃 night when Tony scored that wonder goal against Liverpool 😍🤩👏best goal I have ever seen scored at Elland Road 🏟️ Top Gentleman should of stayed on but George Graham didn't want him.All Leeds aren't we, marching on together 🦚🇮🇨✊👊😍🤩
My hero growing up!
you are a legend
