      I've read Fergie said Le Tissier is one of the greatest players in the PL & didn't know how to plan against. If ture, that says a lot. And I'm a Man United fan. Le Tissier one of the greatest in the PL.

      Don't think he was underrated, especially by people that know what they're on about. One man club. Could have had afew moves I reckon, if the media was like it is now back then there would have been transfer rumours constantly or people openly after him. Wasn't the same back then. Could have played more for England but he was too entertainin and showed too much flair....we crave that nowadays

I remember MLT scored a goal so majestic there were Liverpool fans in the Kop applauding him. What does he remember of this goal? He twisted Mark Wright inside out with his movement. 👍

      Yes, I think he would've graced Serie A. Such a shame that England's most creative players are consistently overlooked or played out of position in the national team in favour of one dimensional box to box type players. Glenn Hoddle, Paul Scholes, Le Tissier, Joe Cole, Jack Wilshere (before injuries), Michael Carrick unfortunately were all wasted by England. Same thing is happening to Jack Grealish now.

      Le Tissier would of been great in Serie A as the play a slower game Could of imagined him at Napoli as they were similar to Southampton at that time struggling but he would been the one man show don’t think he liked playing for the big names he always thrived being an underdog

    I've watched the greatest goals by a number of players but no one comes close to Matt Le Tissier and he played for Southampton. What a player.the greatest!!!!

    He was so good, probably the most talented English player of his generation. Such a shame he was capped only 8 times by the national team. Only because he played in a relatively small club like Southampton. Just for not calling him up, England deserved to lose the Euro 1996.
    If he wanted, this guy could have played in any club in the world, from Man U to Real Madrid, and be the best player in any of those clubs, even win a Ballon D'Or. He remained loyal to his club till the end and that's one of the reasons real football fans we admire and see him as a real legend. All my respect and admiration to Le God! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🔝🔝

      Because Hoddle (who was manager at the time) didn't wan't anyone to have more natural talent than him. Remember he scored a hatrick in the international friendly game a day or two before Hoddle selected the English squad. A hatrick FFS and Hoddle still would take him......

    In 1996 Southampton vs Lincoln City at Sincil Bank, I'm sat in the home end as a Lincoln fan and pre match Le Tissier is knocking in free kick after free kick, even though we lost to some dodgy penalty decision Klaus Lundkvam diving I remember, it was an honour to see LE T play.

    Yep, he's up there with George Best and Kenny Dalglish as far as I'm concerned. When it comes to, poise, intelligence and skill and they always seem to score goals nobody else could, as they always remembered what the point of the game is.     Very underrated player who could get great goals with left or right foot. All his goals had a touch of class about them. A truly great player, and a really nice bloke who speaks so much sense.

    Amazing goals and player. 4 of the 10 were screamers with his weaker left foot. England in the 90’s struggle down the left side, shame Matty was overlooked so many times. He will always be a legend to me. COYR

    Sublime goals from a sublime player , what a talent ' Le Tiss ' was and I also like the way the Liverpool fans in the Kop , showed their appreciation of his talent when he scored there , a lot of them applauded him , hats off.

    Legend - As a footballer and a great Human Being - His Brain allows him to score the greatest goals ever captured on film, and also he has common sense. A rarity these days!       As a (used to be Liverpool fan, when I was interested in football) I agree with you whole heartedly. Matt Le Tissier is as good a person as he was a footballer. He has just given a great speech in London outside of the BBC adding his voice to the many who are aware of what has been going on, and what has been done to the people by this so called government.

    A lot of player Top 10 videos can be quite ordinary or disappointing, but Le Tisser's is just blockbuster goals from 10 to 1. I say this as a Liverpool fan of 40 years.

    Great set of goals. My absolute footballing hero growing up, I just wish it was acknowledged that he played in cup competitions too. Some of his best goals are forgotten, cos they weren’t scored in the prem.

    For me he had that genius that gazza had. No thought at all about what he was doing next he just took the ball as it came and conjured pure magic. Very underated and could have played in any team in europe from 92 to 97. Gem of a man too.
