Patiently waiting for 3dfx Voodoo prices to come down 😅
Ah Phil you never fail to give me a good laugh :P
I miss those days. And Riva TNT 2. Where it’s possible to be a normal person and afford the best and brightest every production upgrade cycle.
You ever think about marketing your low end builds as mame/emulatotion boxes. Maybe configure and test them them remove the roms.
I thought I seen some open source recreations of the 3DFX.....ones where you can order your own PCBs to populate... I might have dreamt this up, but it was at the the beginning of this year or the end of last year....or so I thought
Seeing techyescity and philscomputerlab on the same post makes me 😊
I just did my own build with mostly used parts around a month ago, pretty happy with the price.
2700x - $50
Gigabyte B450m WiFi -$50
32gb DDR4 - $80 (new)
500gb 970 Evo - $50 (new)
Corsair RM750x - $50
CoolerMaster tower cooler - $10 (no mounting gear so cable tied in place, still keeps 2700x at 60-65 under load!)
Gigabyte 2070 Super - $220
Case (4 case fans) + Bluray drive - Free
2 X 2tb WD HDDs - Free
Total: $510 AUD ($320 USD)
I am REALLY happy Lez is doing well, man. I hope he never retires. He gives you great deals.
I genuinely believe Bryan should sell "used price to performance capes" as merch
The bargains are so INSANE!!! Also, it's good to see Lez is doing well again!
1:27 Yay! Intro's back! Back to form!
Yeah,good to have Lez back!!
1:23 Brian! The Stop Sign!!
"Bought a CPU just the other day, Man, could that baby run
But you know what they always say, There's always a better one".
YES man back with the deals. I tried doing abit of deal hunting over here in WA, Sadly I've seen way more posting of pc builders/sellers rather than people actually getting rid of old parts which is pretty insane.
It's no longer raining budget parts! It's now a bloody storm!
Now this is my type of show ! Doing pretty much the same here in Europe ! Your content is awesome ! Spreading some tech yes love , hope you don't mind ! ❤
Love the Aussie parts hunts, great to see you back on the gold coast. I think the 3070 was your best deal. I would pass on the 1660 Supers especially being mining cards.
Totally agree
I always like to see a solid deal down under😝
Return of the Lez
Lez We missed you man
I personally hope you get better day by day and I know you cant retire on the deals
Its in your bloodstream!
One love from the Philippines for both of you
4th gen i7 and RX 580 8gb (or equivalent) is a great spot to be buying for flips right now. Christmas presents for kids or kids buying with Christmas money make it hard to go wrong. Those specs still rock esports, Roblox, Minecraft, and other popular titles with younger gamers while coming in at reasonable sale prices and good margins.
This setup feels old as time but somehow its still great. I remember building basically this system multiple times around 2019
Where do you usually go to sell your flipped pcs and such?
@@profesercreeper fb marketplace, craigslist, friends and family.
@@profesercreeper - For me, in my area, the best thing is Facebook Marketplace. But it's going to depend greatly on your local market.
That i3 and the 570 would be a great modern combo. But AMD is abandoning Polaris soon sadly…
The case is actually very good as a home server/NAS case as it can store 5x3.5 inch HDD and the 2x5.25 inch bays can install a 3 bay HDD hot-swap dock. With the front 180mm fan, it run quite and cool.
What a comeback! We missed you, Lez!❤
i got the RTX 3070 Founder's Edition for 288 USD a week ago. The good thing is that it still has 2 months of warranty left & it was used for editing work.
Yay. I locve your Oz PC parts videos. Great energy and fun to watch.
Love the little Aussie anecdote in the beginning. So true!! Cheers Mate! :D Greetings from North of Sydney.
That "free" psu is looking coooooool
Never seen one like it... Superflower had great goals to make proprietary cables like you have never seen them before!
Save that unusual stuff for a wild retro build.
Non steel reinforced concrete mailbox was just asking for trouble. The intro had me rolling, I grew up in the Midwest in the US where having a beefy mailbox is an art of its own.
The doggo was the best of the whole video - so friendly,, and you got some good deals. lol!
I'm still on i7-4790K with a Z97 motherboard 😅 which I built when it came out back in 2014. Overtime, I loved scavenging parts and building them for clients. My next PC replacement in 2025 will be second hand or refurbished parts.
I love your videos
Yes!!! Parts Hunt is on.!!
Nice to have you back home in Australia! I miss your "I wish that I were a madman" theme!!! Good to see Lez again as well. Now we just need to see Dad Man and all is good! Keep up the great work.
10th gen i3 should be okay at that price. Might be harder to convince a sale but with a good pairing has potential. Glad Lez is back. Some great deals.
I've been away for so long because I get the FOMO from watching these when I'm not in the game. I'm getting back into it with some 6th gen bangers and RX 480 8GBs though! Cheers to the great deals mate! Hope to get there myself soon.
the price hunts are so fun to watch. cheers.
Best Tech Yes intro ever!
One of the guys down the road went on a rager and drove through his own mailbox, I mean least he took it out on his own things and not some poor innocent dude.
Love your content, thanks for this video and right as I got off work XD!
Always love the parts hunts!
Yes, I really enjoy hearing your financial outlooks on the market. It's actually what has impressed me the most on your channel!
I've been 3D printing universal IO shields or just buying sheets of plastic canvas and trimming to fit for IO shields.
Your weather... I'm there... Canada is sooo frigid now and its just the beginning. Overclocking VRAM sometimes causes artifacts. ALL GDDR is designed with an inherent Error rate, which is corrected by the hardware and software. However when you push the speed past the rated limite you are introducing more errors. depending on the die quality of the VRAM and memory controller you will see more and more artifacts or in some cases a hard crash from the start. If you are experiencing artifacts at stock speeds it could be a damaged chip or uneven heatsink contact.
Love the finance talk! BTC halves middle of next year. Prices are likely to go up again!
I paid 4 monhts ago 168 Euro for Ryzen 5 7600 OEM version 45 Euro for B650 with smashed socked but I bend back pins and even with few missing working fine get lucky that missing ones was not critical, and 32Gb cheap micron DDR5 for 55 Euro 4800 CL40 I manage OC to 5400 CL36. For fixing AM5 socket I used my 40 years old stereoscopic microscope :)
2:24 I hear that! Even if it's just a "known good" CPU from that generation to use in troubleshooting other issues it's worth it! Super score!
Heh, just put together a budget flip with one of those same Asus "Turbo" GTX 970s --- Protip on that GPU: Better performance and thermals with +100MHz and 90% power limit via MSI Afterburner
Great bargains and another Great Tech Yes City video!
Greetings from Long Island NY
Thumbs up for TISM, good to see you well and happy.
Great vid as always, thanks.
I'm also seeing part prices coming down in the UK, however how are you fairing when selling PCs, is there the same downward pressure on what people are willing to pay for gaming PCs ? I'm seeing various PCs taking much longer to sell than previously.
Great to Lez is doing well !
Great video as always Brian!
Brian goes trick or treat his way :D Greetz from Montenegro, love your videos!
Superflower psu's tended to be pretty well made..
I3 10th ed was my fav deal..
Looking at the design I'd be very surprised if that SuperFlower PSU aint hella old 😀
great video. Love good deals. Nice haul
17:05 I absolutely like that case. And a front side front panel! Probably it's spacious inside. Big fans and a mid range interior would do fine in there.
Its a pretty good time to get into the industry here in the states as well. Even in a small town I've had great luck with cases power supplies and gpus to match the thrown-out office PCs. 970s are SO inexpensive right now for the performance.
I just recently met someone like Lez in my area! Guy goes around collecting old setups from businesses that are upgrading, keeps what he wants and sells the rest for rock bottom prices. I've picked up a few good deals from him (mostly in monitors and budget motherboard/cpu combos) and I told him to let me know whenever he gets another haul.
Here in Portugal even defective/broken hardware is advertised close to their price when new, it's crazy...
Excelente tus videos!! saludos de Uruguay!!
The Silverstone TJ-08E! I'm still rocking that badboy as my main PC, been doing so since 2013. It was the best mATX case on the market at the time, and I'm sure it'll appeal to someone who likes the minimalist Fractal Design style case.
Pretty good content, and it shows viewers the level of HUSTLE required to make budget deals. For me, my time is valuable enough that I just do bids and offers on eBay and have it shipped to my door. The time and resources of running around place to place is far more costly than the extra $20 you might save with an in-person cash offer.
Happy Lez is doing well. Good to still see these. Still a silent watcher, but always happy to comment every now and then.
Welp, back into my cave.
Melbourne prices are more like real world everywhere unfortunately. You got some great deals in that area 🎉
Hi Brian thanks a lot for this type of content, I just picked a deal on a x299 platform msi x299 tomahawk, i7 7820x, 32gb ram, corsair aio h15i, and 850watt cooler master psu all for 300euros, I think is a good deal, all parts are in functioning condition. ps :I got inspired by your videos to search this type of deals, instead of buying new parts will be 3x the price for similar performance, thank a lot for your work man keep it up.
The man is back!
Good to know Les is doing good! As for my favorite deal, as someone looking at GPUs I love that 3070 deal! Using Google to currency convert, $350 AUD would be about $307 CAD and I'd love to find a 3070 for that price.
Still seem to be hanging around the 400 mark here in Ottawa.
That pc with the GTX 760 inside is something i definitely would've bought. Especially a couple of years ago when I was interested in setting up a secondary gaming rig.
I love my B560m Steel Legend. It's been great with my 11600kf. Hope it works out for you. Love seeing your videos brother.
No matter which platform it is, I always loved the look of the steel legend boards.
that superflower unit is so cool
Love this kind of video
.
Congrats. Say hi to Lez and Godspeed to him.
I like really expensive PC parts. By the time I'm done with a PC, it's still far more capable than your average consumer garbage and far easier to convert to other uses... For example my outgoing 9980XE box is going to become my wife's work BYOD... She will get years of effective service out of my otherwise garbage machine. Always buy for ten year service life, even if you have to accumulate parts until you're ready to build.
Great parts hunt as usual. Also just used your old x79 overclock tutorial for a cheap combo I got in a deal, do you think these are still relevant? Paired it with a gtx 1060 6gb. Hoping for a decent flip.
Nice 4th gens and more
LEZ! We like to see that man still kicking ^_^
Man the market is so good, makes me wanna move over to these places
*Fun Fact:* 10105F is faster then a 4790K.
10th series and up i3 are under rated compare to to the old dogs that used to be kings.
Yup, the sad thing is the i7 sells better :(
That's sad but I think a lot of regular people associate i3s with being old office pcs/not great for gaming, think they got a pejorative reputation over the years where most people think 5 or higher is good automatically. Even an ex of mine was just like I got gifted an i5, at least it's not an i3 kinda thing (had to ask what it was under the hood). 10th and 12th i3 ones should be legit though. The number branding was pretty effective though, most customers just will assume higher number is better regardless. Interesting it will reset next gen losing the core part of the branding. @@techyescity
I like those FE 1 fan easy for air flow
Brian, I get your thoughts on that black case, but if you can find someone who isn't interested in RGB, that is a nice case to build in (Silverstone if memory serves correctly). I used to build systems all the time in that case about 10 years ago, and I always wished I had kept one of them for myself. In fact, I'm going out to a client's later today to work on a PC that I sold one of those builds to, and I know it is still going strong (being used for audio production and streaming video)...
So Mr. Tech YES City is now practicing the year-round summer life-style, switching hemispheres every 6 month ? ...enviable 😉
If you do a follow-up video, you oughta call it "Bargains for Bogans"! Lol
That's awesome. Here in the State's, seems like a lot of people are trying to price their used components as if they were new. It's frustrating.
I'm glad it's dropping in Australia here in the state of Florida is going up actually
Very well said! Definitely a big drop in the market which will allow for better deals than ever :)
He got lucky twice. The prices haven’t even changed bruh
@@iDeker I'm a PC flipper myself aaand at least here in Italy which is where I'm based they have really come down, haven't been able to buy PCs this cheap ever tbh
@@ImWateringPSUs weird. I’m also in australia as is tech yes and I don’t see any deals like he’s gotten ever
16:50 thast's one of the old silverstone chasis, only their build quality is like 10 times better then every new case currently on market. And design is actually good, mature, without all rgb crap.
You gotta get yourself a van. You could probably build some sick storage in the back.
The 3070 was a huge plus at the price you got it for. They were going for bookoo bucks just a year and a half ago. Your financials are pretty much spot on. There has got to be so many people hording PC parts out there, or is it just me? Great time to sell or buy for sure.
8GB though 👎
:) love the hunt :) and good to hear Lez feeling it again :) retired :) yep :) I hope you brought him a coffe and a muffin!!! :):)
The bargains have me wanting to go crazy with building new pcs. Ayaya. I would too, but the used prices reflect pretty hard onto reselling them. You could build a 5900x with 6800xt for less than 1000usd right now
What techniques/products do you use for inventory management?
Hi!
You should start testing gpus with directx12 benchmarks like 3dmark time spy because the gpus still can be faulty.
i have the same 10th gen i3 and it performs really well
thanks for the vid. i got a sandylake build that feels old but still manages the games i play good enough. just searched on local marketplace and not updated wit prices but i see 3060/70s for 300-400 cad. good deal?
Good on ya Bryan your a real go getter for sure
Let's do some paint mod to that old case and try to sell the PC like that, would be cool as a challenge!
"Put on your nikes?!." Say it with me : "Nigh - Keys"!. Great deals you got there.
Best video opening ever 😁😁
Love This 😀
Wow you got so many great deals.....glad i managed to sell my old i7 7700 processor and motherboard for 200$ 4 months ago i guess
TISM !!!!!!!!!!! Bryan the stop sign!
It's the only way to create a pc these days.
Hey I have just found you. Im in NZ and its slim pickings here. You mentioned Japan a couple times, Do you go there and bring secondhand items back to sell?
I just pick up yesterday a ryzen 9 5950x for 40 us because it have quite a few bent pins was able to straighten them and work perfectly
I have noticed Xeon E3 1240 V5 and V6 (i7 6700 and i7 7700) going for relatively cheap here in Europe at around 40€. There are some SI (mostly Terra or Bluechip) i3 7100 8gb ram and 1tb hdd system going for around 100€ used.
So for a 1660S based system around 250-270€ is not that bad for an entry level system, you could probably throw in a 2060 or 5700xt without much of a bottleneck for about 40€ more than a 1660S.
I'm jealous of the Australian market. Used prices in the US are still inflated
Nice Rap !
