The dumpster is where it's AT!
The OG Taiwan Dumpster is where it's AT!
Technically my main pc is a dumpster dive, i only bought a laptoo cpu adapter for 100 euros and an rx580 for 200 (yes i was hosed on that one but it was 2020)
Location: *Raccoon City*
At Bosnia ssd and hdd woold be 40 euro at lest, mbo second gen chepest 25e,case at lest 15e,gpu 75,cpu 20 euro.rip
Yeah.
Just wanted to ask you about that recycling center, and you DID.
Say Bryan, how are you reading my thoughts???
An RTX 4090 will buy like 16 of these!
Now THIS is Tech YES Value!

I am impressed with this one. For the price of a “premium case”. Damn. Tech yes value here
My case was almost triple this PC, but I love builds like this.
@@reisshep you getting scammed bro
@@marlon.8051 Not really. This case is amazing
Just built a little beast for under $100 USB too. Bought a case with a motherboard and i5 6500 at a thrift shop for $10! Inspired me to build something, so I started looking through thrift shops and FB market place. Picked up a psu at a Goodwill for $20, then found $20 on the sidewalk outside, so free? Got an ssd for $10 off Amazon for Black Friday and had a 1tb hhd I was given with a gifted PC. Then picked up a gtx 970 for $40 from Facebook and 16gb 3200mhz ddr4 for $20 off Craigslist. All that totalled to $100, but since the psu was basically free, I spent another $15 on some rgb fans. Looks great now! Super happy with it
Nice
And u have bottleneck with the cpu ?
Cause i have the same pc but my i5 is 6600
I’d be really interested in seeing it
Could you make a Reddit thread and post the link for it in here
You can modify your BIOS to add resizable BAR support to old motherboards like this. It works on RX 400/500 series using Nimez drivers. I got a 10+% improvement in DX12 and reduces the stutters alot.
I remember doing this with a HD6000 series card, yet I just thought it wasn't doing anything that Windows 10 already does with extra allocated ram set aside to the GPU anyway. But that was a year ago. I'd definitely give it another try if I ever get ahold of another older AMD card.
These Dells have locked bioses, don't they?
Sounds risky
@@Kyle-pj2vc if you have 2 graphics card and you only want to modify one, you can just switch to the good one if something SOMEHOW goes wrong. The risk of corrupted bioses come if you're downloading a bios you have not modified on your own hardware, but if you modify your current bios yourself, you should be okay.
it only works with ivy bridge and up sandy bridge is a no go
i got bored at the videos of various youtubers assembling shiny new builds and then i found this channel what a gem now that's a hard work and a precise one too
Loving the return of the budget gaming builds mate. Your videos really helped fill my time during those big lockdowns and it's great to see you back out there wheeling and dealing again. Also I had the 2600k great cpu got a lot more mileage out of that with how good they tend to overclock back when that made a difference so i'm not too surprised the 2600 is still pretty decent. Keep up the good work matey!
Great video! Impressed by the good results , even tho the parts are older i know some people who would love a pc like this!
Awesome content is always! The jumpers are the biggest thing I got out of this. Thanks I will give it a try
i love your dollar squeezing and transformations .... it hits a special spot in my heart
Wow amazing works.👍🏻
I have been away from installing computer systems for a very long time.
Now only teaching Computer Basic Courses privately from home to home.
• watching from Melaka, Malaysia 🇲🇾✌🏻
Very enjoyable (and enlightening) video - thanks! As a Linux user, I love "old" tech. I was very impressed with the "ultra-sonic cleaner" - have never seen/heard of anything like that before. If I were in Oz, I'd definitely considering buying this PC from you 😉
Awesome content mate! How good were the old 2600's! Awesome rig!!
Amazing job, like always. Anyway there's one thing I wouldn't recommend people to do at home, no matter how experienced they are: is cleaning the power supply with water, capacitors are unsafe and someone could end up folgorated.
My first gaming PC actually had an i7-2600. It was a Dell Optiplex 990MT that I picked up for around $200 new and which I paired with a 1050ti. It ran 1080p low pretty good with 60+ fps for years. Crazy to see this CPU still performing well in 2022!
I wish we got deals kinda like this here in the states
Mate im sure you could find a PC like this and a whole lot more in the US.
We do if you know where to look
You can! Check local thrift shops, especially ones that are filled through donations. I've found all sorts of parts for nothing. It's also a good way to find low end PCs that just need a little upgrading
oh you do.
but bro you lucky in ur states has store sell cheap pc here at my states old graphic card still in price of 500 -4000 ....only the rich kid could buy
with current pricing and the fomo of not having the latest gear its very refreshing to see content like this. Was not expecting 60fps in WZ even with FSR 1.0.
Makes me feel very lucky to have a solid AM4 / pascal system that is gonna be kept going for another gen thanks to current gfx prices.
To discharge a power supply, if you're brave, using a wire or plier you can short the big cap on the backside.
But normally, power cycling it is enough to discharge it (also possible by jumping the right socket holes in the atx conn.
The i7 2600 is a workhorse, keeps on keeping on. Love the bargain builds Bryan. Peace
So is my i7 920 @ 4.1 , but still , that Ryzen 7600x will be a very welcome upgrade...
The "K" version would be so much better, you can OC those, sky high !
does i7 2nd gen still worth it in 2022 or 2023? I'm planning to buy it.
@@doghie just get 10100/12100, much better investent
@@Richard-tj1yh yes, but to understand it they have to buy a dirt cheap goddamn i7-2600 PC for 100 bucks at first.
This is amazing to see. You probably made some kid new to gaming real happy! GG!
I’ve used TONS of 3rd gen dell XPS 8700 pc’s to convert and they work great with no issues and I’ve never had to short the front io pins!
Great job on the build and definitely you pulled through with RX 480! Thank you for your time and hard work.
I like you getting back to basics. Thx
10 years later and Brian is STILL at it! You sir are a staple of youtube budget gaming!
@5:48 Baby wipes, lol! I use those too! Excellent for getting rid of dust and great on the rear!
I don't know whether I should dance or keep watching your builds. You always have something popping in the background.
It looks great Bryan and its a credit to you on how you can transform used parts into something worthwhile!!!
I saw a Holden Commodor in Kansas out of all places a few weeks ago!
SWEET car! It may have been a custom rebadged Chevy SS or Pontiac G8, but still very cool to see!😯 I wonder if they saw me turn my head all the way around watching them leave the parking lot we were in.😄
Hey Brian I used your Windows sponsor to grab a Win 11 Pro key for my new build it worked perfectly, nice and fast so thanks for that. My only remaining issue right now is to find out why the cpu clocks/temps/watts are missing on Msi Afterburner.
I came over there for a holiday back in 1999 when i was 18, i remember the Holden Commodore and the rivalry. i also bought need for speed high stakes for PS1 and took it back home to the UK, it had the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore race cars!! which the uk version didn't. was soooo happy about that.
excellent advice bryan, i noticed at least a 6.9 percent increase in FPS by overclocking my RGBs
I was expecting a potato for a graphics card, but you came through with an awesome deal for ANY RX480. Strangely enough, I had upgraded from an RX480 to a 1080ti. The pro-tip on the RX480 is to run an RX580 Bios... It will usually pick up the performance impressively (I was able to gain 200 MHz on my GPU).
Tbf, junping to a 1080ti from a RX 480 is a huge improvement.
I don’t know if a potato is compatible for running games but ok
Man potato wouldn't run without a gpu.
the reason that pc can run actual games is litearlly 100% beacuse of that GPU an i7 thats like 2nd or like 3rd gen isnt going to do anything more other than just browsing. Although it was still a very nice PC build and i liked it. For the price you really cant go wrong with it.
Love the ultra budget! I have nostalgia for 2nd gen Intel I’ve had 2500k in my work pc for close to a decade
Please bring back Mr Bogan!
great video as always! love your work! now its time to watch the video!
Greetings from Dublin - followed your 5700 > 5700 XT firmware upgrade years ago (moved to an RTX 3090 since then). Anyway, I’ve a tip to protect computer from dust overtime… to cover the case with a silicon sheet (usually provided for cooking)
I thought the OptiPlex 390 maximum cpu official support was i5 2400, but 2500 works as well. Never tried an i7 though. Had to short 3 pins together on front io, and run a wire from Cpu fan green wire all the way to pin 3 on front fan connector and from there I ran another wire to pin 3 on back fan connector to get rid of those messages. Basically all 3 tachometric signal pins were connected to each other. The most annoying obscure problem ever.
Good to see ya back down under mate! Great banger build! BTW, whats the music track you used for the b-roll? Ps.... You got me back into PC gaming 2 years ago and now I've been flipping some PCs for fun, cash and something to do in Welly, NZ. Keep up the good work.
There are front I/O adapters for the Dell Optiplex 390 series that can be found for less than $30 on eBay. These will allow you to use almost any case normally. I've bought several and they work flawlessly. Super easy to install
whats up bro big fan, keep up with the quality videos been watching you for a while now
I'm rocking a XFX RX 480 8gb. I got it for $79 US almost a year ago. It's a 1080p champ! I have a bit of a bottleneck with my 11600KF but I can live with it and I'm happy. Great video!
Dude WTF - you could have titled this video "I HOSED DOWN ALL MY COMPONENTS WITH SOAPY WATER" and I bet even more people would have clicked on the video.
I found that fascinating! I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that before! Thanks for the video
Loved the water cleaning! :))
That’s pretty fantastic getting a working pc together for that price. I’d love to see you put together a complete system including display, keeb and mouse to seee how cheap you could actually do it for.
You took reuse, reduce and recycle process to a whole new level. Mashallah. Thanks a lot for showing us a great clip.
love it
keep them deals coming
I like how you clean up the part
If you need molex power but want the rpm sense, cut the +V on the 3 pin, otherwise you may be shorting the voltage control motherboard header to to full 12V
I respect your efforts :) love it
Glad your back in Aussier land, like these parts hunts.
Yes! Møre of this, i love it. Great video!
Bro I’ve missed your super budget PCs so much! I remember your £5 LOL PC 🤣🤣
So happy to see the ultrasonic cleaner again! and the dumpster finds too
very nice ...LOVE the "acid green" fans... would go good on an HP gamer...
Good thing that you've let go the Stinger, especially with the hunts, I've noticed some pickups are really far away and then, the gas kinda eats out the value...
I missed these videos of budget build guides
Nice recovery on the banger PC. I wish I had a dumpster hookup like that.
Damn good stuff dude love the videos
What kind of spray cleaner are you using? Looks nice! Love your videos!
Awesome bargaining! I got an HP Pavilion 500 with an i7 4790s, 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD and a GTX 745 for 50€ shipped. Sold the graphics card for 20€, bought a used 500W PSU for 15€, another stick of 8GB RAM for 8€ shipped and an untested GTX 970 for 25€ - total cost was therefore less than 80€, I think that’s a steal as well as your computer over here! Plus the GTX 970 was indeed working 🥳
Top job mate!
About to do a similar build for a friend with an I 5 4460 Dell system I got free from work. Couldn’t you depin the Dell power button connector keeping the strange jumper setup on it and just put the power button pins from the new case into it?
Hey man this video just came up in my recommended, first video of your channel I've watched, great production quality and very entertaining! I'm always messing about with computers as a hobby and I also drive a mk3 white ford focus st! What are the chances haha youtube knows me too well I think! Anyways greetings from the uk you earned yourself a sub! :D
this video is so satisfying because you know exactly what you're doing
Geez, at this point I would definitely buy new components. :D Nice job restoring those parts. (Y)
Fords are huge in Australia. The Ford Barra engine is actually exclusive to that region and it's a bad ass inline 6 turbo engine.
Love the music choices
I bagged a bundle last week fairly cheap, an i5 760, Asrock P55 Pro, 8GB RAM and cooler for 24 UKP. After a cleanup, oc'd easily to 4.3GHz, tested with a GTX 980, 70fps in Crysis no problem. 8)
Those old radeon blower coolers always looked good to me. I have an rx 470 4gb platinum edition that's just stunning
Oh man, the aussie multi purpose spray is back! I wish I could source something close to that that didn't cost an arm and a leg (closest I could find was the WD40 Specialist, and that thing is expensive...).
I have a 2015 Ford focus with 200,000 miles on it the transmission is giving me a couple issues but man these things are drive so great when they work
building this kind of machine is so fun and rewarding. Great value fun machine for cheap.. awesome.
I remember when my RX-480 8GB was brand spanking new! Still have it as a spare.
Glad to see the ultrasonic cleaner coming back! :D
Everything is alright in the world when TYC is building sub $100 budget bangers that can play warzone 2
Amazing what you can get for the money and how well you make them look with cleaning
Idk about Australia but the 1660 super is going super cheap here in the US thanks to that I built my friend a pc with a 3rd generation i5 16gbs of ddr3 and the 1660 super runs war zone no problem and with dlss "4k" is playable to. High to medium settings if I remember right
Good move on selling the Stinger Brian. Lately KIA and Hyundai have been experiencing a lot of engine failures worldwide. Stingers are the worst. Love the Focus, I had an XR5 a while ago, great option as well (the Volvo engine version - 5 Cylinders). Great to see you back in Oz and chasing the deals.
I once scored a case (terrible and dirty) working GTX 970, AMD FX 8350, 16gb 1866mhz ram (4x4 config), whatever gigabite momo that was compatible with the 8350, and a blu ray drive for literally $25. Lady was moving and the PC had not worked in a while after she suspected the PSU died. It was indeed dead but everything else worked. She just did not want to go through the trouble of putting in a new PSU (and probably did no know how). There are deals to be had on marketplace for low prices for sure
Impressive as always sir. I love giving life to old tech and have learned ALOT from your work so, thank you. Also, since the ketchup and mustard wires always triggers my OCD I found a spray called Flex Seal. It's basically a rubberized liquid electrical tape I hose down all the wires with and paint them all black. Yes I take the "red neck" approach BUT it looks good 🙂
Man.. this would be a perfect first gaming PC for me... how awesome
mineral oil for the ultrasonic on PC parts will also work just as good as water
Awesome project!
As far as the ultrasonic cleaner goes, distilled, or even better de-ionized water is a safer bet for electronics.
12:30 how do you get two curves? Is it different for each gpu or is it a new update from afterburner?
i like this pc, pretty nice, honestly when i saw you pour liquid on your pc, i was scared, but hey it works and its clean!

One dump's trash is a tech yes city's treasure. Have you done something to the tech yes balcony? It looks like the flooring and the railing were redone.
A video about the digital ultrasonic cleaner would be helpful. How can it be safe to use on pc parts?
Probably not hard drives.
0:35 Dude got the Matrix in his computer
Please add more before after shots in the video. Nice work tho!
Hey Brian just wondering if you have any advice on dumpster diving for pc parts
Well done!!!
Wow quite an amazing salvage
Can you use the cleaner on fans? I find them to be the biggest chore to clean. If you can, do you have to lubricate the fans after?
I need to know a good way to find out what your mother board is.. cause that is very helpful
That was just a bit of the Matrix seeping through with that faulty gpu, no worries.
Good video which I will definitely come back to reference, but I think it's important to note that almost no one will have a huge ultrasonic cleaner at home (many won't even have a compressed air blower), nor a PSU tester! Also, he didn't factor in his fuel costs in collecting the components, nor his labour costs - even at minimum wage, the amount of time put into this far exceeds the $100 spent on parts! Just something else to consider (e.g. you could work a job for the number of hours spent on refurbishment and use that money to increase the budget of your build instead ;)
Tech Yes man you should get a sieve or filter under the tap on the ultrasonic cleaner so we can see the filth that comes out!
