    I got a 2018 jeep renegade limited 1.6 diesel multijet with 6 speed manual, cars been great so far, really economical, getting 65 mpg easy to work and back 20 miles daily, decent punchy engine too with plenty torque, only issue so far is window scooshers freezing up on the move because its like minus 7 degrees Celsius up here in Scotland, apart from that which is down to the weather its been great so far, 49700 miles on clock at moment but i going to get timing belt done at 62000 miles just for peace of mind, in about a years time 👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Thanks for the vid. I have a 2017 Jeep Renegade (NightEagle) 1.4L petrol turbo engine 170 hbp 6 speed automatic with lot of luxurious. Fantastic car, just love it, BUT, I got parking sensor failures, later cruise control failure, later engine management failure with Auto Start/Stop failure. After more than a 6 months analyses, UConnect upgrade, resets etc, it seemed to be the turbo. Yes if the failure happened, the cruise control shutted off, which is very annoying on long distances, and if engine management yellow/orange light was on, the car had low power, it had to use the 1.4 liter without the turbo. Yes, it was the turbo (90.000 km). It has been replaced and all issues are fixed and it drives fantastic again as it did. At German Autobahn you easily drive up to 180 km/h (I never did the top speed 219 km/h). But turbo replacement is HIGH COSTS! No fun, together with the 90.000 km service thingies 3000 euro. I still love my Jeep Renegade Night Eagle!

      Do you recommend shutting off the auto start/stop ?

    • @frankieatworld7321
      @frankieatworld7321 Před měsícem

      @@muhammedalyan5802 YES, turning off auto start/stop is highly recommended because off also stops cooling to the turbo. Jeep Renegade keeps auto start/stop off when you did it once. Lot of cars always turn it on when you start engine.
      With my new turbo I am more cautious, ofcourse let it warm up before kicking it, and let it cool down at least 60 sec before turning off the engine.

    Fiatin dieselmoottorit ovat erittäin lujia. Onko Renegade ja 500X 1.4 multiair bensiini ongelmallinen?
    Minulla on Fiat Tipo 1.4 T-jet wagon bensiini 120 hv tosi luotettava. Vääntävä moottori ja kiihtyy hyvin. Auto on muutenkin tilava ja melko mukava. Olen ajanut sillä jo noin 6 vuotta ja 115 000 km. Lämmin auto talvella ja käynnistyy hyvin myös -30 asteen pakkasilla.

      Going through Renegade hell here myself. Owned 3 years now (purchased used). 2026 is the worst year! Put over $3000 in repairs! New oil sensor, new radiator, new cooling fan, new computer (!) now it's likely in for a starter. Pain in my rear and as soon as I can, I'm unloading her for parting out or something!

      I bought a new 2016 2.4L gas (petrol) engine ( non turbo). I had to replace the thermostat (it failed in the open position, so no overheating problems, just no heat) and normal maintenance. It's been 45,000 miles trouble-free driving. Don't fall for the automatic start -stop, turbo, diesel BS.

    Hi, I'm about to go test drive a 2018 Renegade sport 4x4. I'm a bit nervous. The newer jeep are nothing like the older ones like my Dad had which was a 1989 Jeep Cherokee limited. It took a beating and kept going from my young teenage self.
    I hear many Jeep owners say they're a bit temperamental. Thus, I am nervous and Leary to buy one. I prefer Japanese made cars but don't have the money to buy a Subaru, Acura, Toyota, or Honda.
    This jeep currently has 70, 396 miles. The price is a steal. I'll probably try to incorporate the 36 bumper to bumper extended warranty because it is used. How many miles do you have and when did you start having problems? How many miles when it started? I've read as little as 16,000 miles. The CarFax is clean. So that's a good ✅ in the box.
    I'm not sure what to ask the dealer or what to look for besides the basics. I haven't bought a car since 2012 from CarMax. Any other tips to look out for when purchasing this vehicle? I don't want them to pull a wool over my eyes and fool me.
    However, I really need a car my 2011 Nissan Versa is having problems with the transmission. I put it in drive and there's a delay and it doesn't go whenever I accelerate and sometimes it rolls backwards when I take my foot off the brake to push the gas and it's scary
    Plus, it has over 272,000+ miles. It's time to retire ol' Blue and use him as a work care after I repair it.

      I’ve had a few jeeps in the past here in the UK they use Fiat engines so I don’t know really what engines they have in the US. Problems can start anytime to be honest but mostly the issues I have mentioned usually start to appear with use over time. The car in this video has done 72k miles. So I would say take someone with you who has knowledge on cars and make sure you give it a nice long test drive before deciding on it.

    • @AriesWarrior69
      @AriesWarrior69 Před rokem +2

      @@DriveCarsDaily thank you so much for replying. I was told the engine is American made but the rest is made in Italy. I hope it's worth the purchase of 13, 995+ tax Us dollars so in 11,673. 65 British pounds.
      I guess that's better than made in south Korea like Hyundai.
      I don't know much about cars. I know how to change the oil, transmission fluid and filter, I've changed brakes once on my Impala with verbal instructions, a serpentine belt, and a hub bearing all with verbal instructions. Thank you for the information made in this video.

      I ended up getting a 2016 Jeep Renegade 75th anniversary edition army green. I do and don't. I'll drive it for a few years and probably trade it off. I originally wanted something Japanese made but didn't have the money and my back was against the wall. I knew my hatchback was going to kick the bucket anytime and it did one month after I got my Jeep.

    It’s a “great car” but you had to do a timing belt, gear box rebuild, and it’s had electronic issues…….. screw that. It’s a fiat 500 masked behind a Jeep logo. I’ll stick to both my hondas….. if this was done before it hit 100k miles then that’s ridiculous. Imagine the kind of work it will need when it’s older. These are going to start dropping like flies like all of fiats products in the past. No offense.
