I bought a 2019 jeep renegade with only 16’239 miles on it in 2021. I have had no problems with my jeep at all it’s a great car and it runs perfectly. I take very good care of my vehicles and would recommend this vehicle to anyone that wants a comfortable great ride. Car maintenance is the key to a good running car. I use only full synthetic oil in my jeep. Love ❤️ my jeep.

My wife loves her 2016 trailhawk. Bought it used in 2019 with 10k miles. Recent snowstorm in the pacific northwest and the Renegade didn't miss a beat. Geolandar ATs help make wet and snow driving easy. I don't care if they call it a fiat 500, this fiat isn't the one stuck on the side of the road. Only issue so far is the adjustment gears for the headlights stripped. Replaced stripped gears for $5.

We own a 2018 Renegade with the 2.4l 9spd and haven't had any issues besides a intermittent slow loading Uconnect but that is just a small quirk beside that it has given us 3 years of trouble free and loyal service. I am a fanatic about maintenance and keep my vehicles in tip top shape, Our 2.4 only consumes half a quart of oil per 5000 miles which is my scheduled intervals and even though there is a Recall for oil consumption it wasn't because of the rings like you mentioned but the way the MultiAir was programmed to stay open during deceleration the update is done free of charge and remedies the issue from what I hear, I opted out of the recall because I felt a half quart was acceptable over 5000 miles. We are really loving the Renegade now with higher fuel prices and even with $4 plus fuel costs it still better than filling either my 1999 Dodge Dakota with a 22 gallon fuel tank or our 2004 Dodge Ram with a 32 gallon tank. We take the Jeep everywhere unless we need one of the trucks. Best $18k we've ever spent and I bought it new MSRP was $27k got a offer to buy it for $24k from our local dealer when I was there to get our annual vehicle inspection done.

Still on orig clutch and it shifts great. I love the 6th gear for hwy cruising. Averages over 26 mpg in mixed driving on 89 octane gas. Hi my stepdaughter owns a 2015 Jeep renegade that she purchased two years ago , and the problem she's having is there is a service four-wheel-drive indicator light that comes on , and when you try the traction selector switch or traction control switch for different various road conditions seems to be not working ? When you try to select four-wheel-drive low or four-wheel-drive itself nothing happens , I tried going online to find out on how to replace the switch which there is no information on how the remove it from dashboard or console or even how the diagnose the problem ? But I believe it's the switch that will not engage the solenoid on the transmission or the transfer case to put it in four-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive low , so my question did you ever run into this problem ? And if so how do you replace the traction control transfer switch ? Like I said there is nothing online and there's no diagrams to even be found online to show this it's almost like they are going to force you to take this to the dealer and do not want you to repair itself even if one does have the knowledge and is mechanically inclined such as myself so if you could help me I greatly appreciate thank you or anyone

When I start moving, it seems to have some sort of hesitation when switching from 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. Is this a trans issue? I have a 2015 jeep renegade trailhawk. Over 80,000 miles on it and I just paid it off. I consider my jeep a good reliable vehicle overall. I have had three problems with it over the last 6 years all fixed by the warranty, the engine temp sensor went out and caused my 4 wheel drive to go out. A window seal on my passenger door started to leak in air and whistle and that had to be replaced and my radiator fan was getting noisy and had to be replaced. every one of these issues was covered by the warranty and was only a minor inconvenience. Ongoing issues I have are minor like the oil burn and the somewhat klunky transmission. I have just started to notice and odd thump coming from the wheel well and I think that may be cv shaft but I do go offroading and have taken some hard hits so I dont blame the jeep if it is starting to have issues. I just hope it is not too expensive to replace.

      @FatalForrest Před 2 lety +1

There is a firmware update for the ECM that helps with oil burn and clunky trans. Call your dealer and check to see if there are any updates available for your VIN. Also at 80k miles it’s a good idea to go ahead and replace the ignition coils and spark plugs. Around this time you’ll notice a marked reduction in fuel economy and then you’ll eventually lead to a misfire and CEL. You can replace coils and plugs for about $150 from NAPA or your local parts store.

When this first happened I zoned it and got the air intake sensor code. At the deep that code didn't show but the other did. Maybe the AIR sensor is the culprit sending bad akr temp so computer thinks it isn't heating up fast enough in cold weather vs hot.

I always thought the radio was rebooting or maybe a low voltage on start up. I experienced the OTA update which turned everything into Italian😅.
I noticed the door material comes off easily in this hot weather. Also use to get errors like thermostat bad but the original code that ce up has banished but showed air intake temp was bad. Has never showed up again. Despite the therm being bad, apparently, 70,000 miles later still going and never overheated

My 2017 Renegade Trailhawk Problems at only 12k:
Ridiculous oil consumption. My 98 Cherokee never needed oil between changes at 200k.
Transmission slams into reverse after sitting overnight in under 60 degree weather.
Navigation no longer knows where on the map the car is, roughly 50% of the time.
Driver's side arm rest starting to split at the finger cup.
Cat converter shield rattles when I start it up in the morning.
Moonroof jams and chatters and sometimes needs help closing. Lube doesn't help much.
Weatherstripping is falling off the front and back edges of moonroof panel.
I've had the Renegade rumble maybe 10 times since it was new. not a persistent problem.
    The air conditioner SUCKS.
Gas mileage is on par with my old Volvo AWD V70 wagon 5cyl turbo, 21.5 mpg. OK for the huge Volvo, horrible for a tiny car with a 4cyl.
DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE!! If it weren't for the quality control issues, I love the vehicle. But it's not going to be a 150k trouble free car, like my previous vehicles. The Volvo started having nuisance issues when it hit 100k. But the 98 Cherokee, aside from a broken wire in the door for the windows/mirrors, and a mystery engine light problem it's been bulletproof. I still use it for dirty work.
