Dude makes damn sure to mention this a million times. Having worked with a number of police departments I highly doubt we'll see this on an approved purchase roster for the vast majority of departments... and military? Probably a few small SOCOM purchases, but overall, unless this makes it into the civilian market as an SBR or pistol version at a reasonable price then the SCAR-SC might as well of stayed as just a concept.

The guy I heard it from didn’t give much info as to why, just said that they had cycling issues and he didn’t like them and hoped they would get OBR’s. “I’m former SOF” yet you provide no evidence. Maybe you are SOF, but throw that around on the internet and you’ll be hard pressed to find people who believe you.
rascalMatt17 The guy I got my info from said his unit (a SEAL Team, so I’d assume NSW as a whole) had a deal with FN so they got a bunch. Also, I’ve heard people saying the same stuff you did, about swappable uppers and stuff that never appeared. Also that a replacement is in the works. And sure, if you’re legit you’re legit which is awesome, if you’re not you’re not. I have no way of telling so I say both.

Simple, just toss the rifle like a softball, should instantly knock out your attacker.
Hostile you lose a lot of velocity as well. I'm sure it'll still drop your target but still.
Rifles First when using 50, 52, and 55 grain bullets engineered to expand while still reaching the 12"-18" penetration threshold at lowered velocities the barrel length becomes irrelevant. This is largely designed for Urban and low distance encounters where you are rarely going to need or want long distance flight stability.
Make a pistol variant for us civies. It’s insulting, FNH.

A non full auto version would be worthless...just a ear destroyer. I would never go below 16” in a 5.56. 9mm is a better option in short barrels...or 45 cal if you don’t mind the weight and reduced magazine capacity. Though 7.5” barrel is stupid even in 9mm. 10.5” would be a better option.

I agree with the sentiment and I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the fool's who could vote back in 1934 as well as the sphincters who traded the open machine gun registry in 1986 for the other provisions offered by the firearm owners protection act.
Honestly, if you want an SBR SCAR just buy an SBR upper. It'll cost half of that rifle's price, you'll have to wait a bit sure, but you won't lose so much velocity by the time you get your tax stamp. Also you wont have to deal with that trash stock.

Guns like the CZ 805, the SIG MCX, and newer generations of the XCR, as well as some newer models from smaller companies are gonna gobble up the market segment of "anything not an AR". It makes me sad that my favorite compant, FNH, is blinded by their military contract hubris, and too busy dicking around with pointless trash like the M249S and boring M16/M4 clones to cater to the civilian sector and push their own unique designs.
EABOY2600 the main thing however is there are so many high cap rifles in the US, and there are many people that won't give them up. As long as there are Americans like that then the government won't be stupid enough for a total recall. Or, who knows, maybe they will be in the future. I honestly fear what happens the next time a democrat is elected. Could only be 3 years, and all shit will hit the fucking fan.

Non reciprocating charging handle is made using a thin plate on the side of the bolt carrier disconnected from the bolt carrier group. The charging handle is connected to this plate. There is a cutout on the side of the bolt which the plate rides in like a track. The back of the plate makes contact with the back of the cutout in the bolt carrier. This allows rearward contact with the charging handle and bolt carrier but no forward contact from the bolt carrier on the charging handle. Since the plate is off set to either the left or right hand side of the bolt carrier, the gas piston does not make contact with the plate.
There could also be a long cutout in the bolt carrier long enough for the bolt to fully cycle with a cross pin charging handle running across the cutout. This would also call for a long thin plate to cover the cutout in the bolt as there are no gaps shown on the bolt carrier where this cutout would be.
So are We Gonna See This In a Braced Format In The Future For Civilian Use? And As Well Can We Possibly get It for Under 2K?

This could so easily have a pistol brace and be done in semi-auto for the civilian market. Not even any discussion. Why is it always such a distant afterthought?
I got some good news and bad news.
FN needs to do pistol SCAR variations. The SC would be a perfect candidate. Bet they’d sell more of that model in pistol form on the civilian market than they would the select fire mil/leo version.
A 7 inch barrel on a 5.56. Ok. I may be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but I don’t think that MIL/LE will be rushing to buy this particular offering from FN. MK18 makes much more sense for them, especially given their existing use of the M4/AR platform. This would be a cool gun to own as an SBR as a civilian (I’d still prefer an MK18), but FN will make us wait months, even years before offering it and it’ll probably be ridiculously overpriced. Just like the Glock 19X, it’ll take MIL/LE rejection for them to offer this to us civilians.
I can see that as somekind of PDW for vehicle crews, especialy if it is rich PMC with SCAR platform unification. Hey, that sounds great for the next Call of Duty!

Rifles First if I'm on a protective detail and a Truck of Peace comes rolling towards us or some guy wearing a vest starts blasting with an AK I'd take 7.5" 5.56 over the 9mm. Hell if I use M855A1 I'd probably get the stunning effects of a flashbang and set him on fire as well.
Non reciprocating handle on the bigger scars as a V2 would be a game changer.
Besides the buttstock it was the biggest complaint from civs, sport shooters and defence forces around the world.

Probably only an additional $1,000 more than the standard model if it comes the the civilian market.
What alot of people don't realize is military and LE customer's make up most of the revenue at the larger gun companies. The civil market is just extra income for them.
The problem is no LE agency in their right mind is going to issue their guys an expensive 7.5" 5.56 weapon like this. It's an expensive under performer from the start.
Law enforcement other then Swat have no business carrying machine guns, none!
