    Dang. That's a sweet rifle. And I absolutly LOVE the very well thought out and executed improvments from the lesson's learned with the 21 and 95 models. I'd almost kill to get this in a 5.56 version. Sort off an evolved SAR-21.

    I picked up the Tavor 5 years ago one of the main reasons for the $2100.00 purchase was based on a future changeable barrel they told me I could buy and switch out to go back and forth from 556 to 308.They never came through instead the made completely different riffle?WTF?

      TheBamidd how do ARs handle 308?

    • @TheBamidd
      @TheBamidd Před 6 lety +1

      Kyle Rainer Well, mine is an aero precision M5e1 I built. With an adjustable gas block to tune down the gas pressure coming back, the recoil impulse is excellent. I have a SI King Comp on mine as well. Recoil feels similar to a standard AR15, but slower and you can really feel the mass of that .308 bolt traveling back and forth if you shoot it prone. Just imagine recoil similar to the level of a 7.62x39 rifle with the linear travel of an ar15 so it's very straight and controllable. I could shoot it all day with no issues, if I could afford the ammo that is... Without an adjustable gas block and in a light-weight package, they can be a bit of a beast, but still easily manageable with practice and training.

  • @PhysicsViolator
    @PhysicsViolator Před 5 lety +8

    This looks exactly like the DMR from halo reach heheh

  • @ravissary79
    @ravissary79 Před 6 lety +1

    Despite all the hype for the MDR and how awesome that ejection is, this looks more solid, slick, it's backed by a bigger, more competent company that knows how to get good products out fast and at a decent price point. I love the look, the features... just NICE. Sure, the MDR is more modular, and the RFB has more gas settings (some people hate that, others say it's great cause when you know how, you can dial it in and shoot real softly, get no gas face with a suppressor and fully ambi with no switching at all except charging handle, which is almost as easy). But unlike RFB, this is a fully floated barrel, it takes magpul mags, lancers, and those ergos look sweet. It looks like they took everything that people wanted, took the best parts of the x95 and regular Tavor and threw together something really really special.
    It's getting harder to justify the m1a for that next big project vs this. Same weight, just as reliable a reputation, but the m1a can't be fully floated, not really, this is, shorter, good balance... only a couple hundred more.
    man...
    I don't know what to do!

  • @Paelorian
    @Paelorian Před 6 lety

    This could really use an aftermarket extended handguard that goes beyond the barrel and over a suppressor. No need to be so scrunched up if you're shooting out of a longer barrel or have attached a suppressor. Since they're not talking about accuracy I'm expecting a battle rifle rather than a DMR or sniper, but the weight isn't too bad for a 7.62 (one round heavier than the heavy-for-cartridge 5.56 Tavor) and if it's fairly accurate it would be very competitive as a DMR. More reliable than the Kel-Tec RFB and probably more reliable than the still unproven Desert Tech MDR. Considering how I want a longer barrel (probably 18-22") in a 6-7mm caliber and a suppressor, I'm very interested in an accurate bullpup to keep overall length manageable and balance better to achieve a handy rifle.
