"Another Tavor? I thought the X-95 was the new deal. What the hell-"
*".308"*
"...Go on..."
He did a great job presenting it. One of the best ive seen on camera this shot show. Thanks Larry!
Tom is top notch. I took a course from IWI and he is one of the most professional instructors you can find.
Things like this which makes me want to visit the US to play with firearms .. You are very lucky to be legally allowed to have firearms in your country. God Bless America
Amen
2022 and the Anti-American Demonrat Communist Party is declaring war against Freedom and Liberty and Patriot Americans. You still coming?
Love the Tavor.
This looks hot. Can't wait to see it in action here in the future Larry!
Got the X95 loved it. Craved a .308 so I got a Scar 17. Now i know what to add to the collection.😍
Larry God bless you, always bringing us some of the coolest new toys.
Dang. That's a sweet rifle. And I absolutly LOVE the very well thought out and executed improvments from the lesson's learned with the 21 and 95 models. I'd almost kill to get this in a 5.56 version. Sort off an evolved SAR-21.
Awesome demo, probably the best I’ve see so far from the shot coverage.
Looking slim Larry!!
Guilherme Checchia i thought the same
Same here. My guess is he's humble about it. I'm glad he's got viewers like you guys who appreciate his hard work.
*FINALLY, THE TAVOR 7 IS OUT AND ABOUT...CAN'T WAIT TO SEE AND SHOOT IT!*
I love it, I really wish they would make these changes on the 5.56 version.
Shit yeah, a 7.62 Tavor! I'm a 7.62 fan and I love shooting AKs and M14s as well as AR-10s. So nice to hear that they're making a 7.62 Tavor now!
I picked up the Tavor 5 years ago one of the main reasons for the $2100.00 purchase was based on a future changeable barrel they told me I could buy and switch out to go back and forth from 556 to 308.They never came through instead the made completely different riffle?WTF?
Looks awesome, love the updates. Would love to see those on the X95 soon as well. Thanks
Finally we get to hear about the mags it'll use! Thanks Larry!
Great job Larry asking all the right questions.
P.s. why do people think they can get *quality* .308 guns for under 2 grand? You wouldn't be able to afford to shoot it.
Is anyone gonna talk about the fucking design? What a beauty! Pure fucking power all round
Good video Larry. You're looking a bit thinner as well pal so no doubt been hitting the gym hard. As ever thanks for your service.
Thanks
Shut up and take my money 😬😎👍🏽
Okay, that ejection port swap and the HK-style bolt catch are pretty slick.
Outstanding presentation.
Awesome, I am excited for this rifle. I will likely sell my current AR-10 and move into one of these beauties this hear.
TheBamidd how do ARs handle 308?
Kyle Rainer Well, mine is an aero precision M5e1 I built. With an adjustable gas block to tune down the gas pressure coming back, the recoil impulse is excellent. I have a SI King Comp on mine as well. Recoil feels similar to a standard AR15, but slower and you can really feel the mass of that .308 bolt traveling back and forth if you shoot it prone. Just imagine recoil similar to the level of a 7.62x39 rifle with the linear travel of an ar15 so it's very straight and controllable. I could shoot it all day with no issues, if I could afford the ammo that is... Without an adjustable gas block and in a light-weight package, they can be a bit of a beast, but still easily manageable with practice and training.
This looks exactly like the DMR from halo reach heheh
Despite all the hype for the MDR and how awesome that ejection is, this looks more solid, slick, it's backed by a bigger, more competent company that knows how to get good products out fast and at a decent price point. I love the look, the features... just NICE. Sure, the MDR is more modular, and the RFB has more gas settings (some people hate that, others say it's great cause when you know how, you can dial it in and shoot real softly, get no gas face with a suppressor and fully ambi with no switching at all except charging handle, which is almost as easy). But unlike RFB, this is a fully floated barrel, it takes magpul mags, lancers, and those ergos look sweet. It looks like they took everything that people wanted, took the best parts of the x95 and regular Tavor and threw together something really really special.
It's getting harder to justify the m1a for that next big project vs this. Same weight, just as reliable a reputation, but the m1a can't be fully floated, not really, this is, shorter, good balance... only a couple hundred more.
man...
I don't know what to do!
ravissary79 ive thought about the mdr too. I have coworkers that actually deal with DT as they are in my city, SLC, UT. I love the design of the mdr but lord with a price tag of like $8-10K that's never going to happen.
Dear Larry Vickers, please, you have to make a video shooting and reviewing this beautiful Assault Rifle!
Larry you look like you’re slimming down good job.
fully ambidextrous rifles are the future! look how slick and easy they made it on the 7
That looks just beautiful...
Now shipping. Seriously. Shipping this week.
MSRP in video was $2299. It's now $2099 with street under $2000.
New favorite rifle right there
This is dope! I think I’ll wait this one out and get the X95 300 blackout because I’m sure if I wait till April or May they will sale like hot cakes like the MDR did lol I’ll just call this my 2019 bullpup!
It might just be me but if I had a 10 in one 18 inch barrel with 2” on that stock and a butt pad it would be a better but heaver rifle.
I really want one!
Looks like this might be my new hunting gun sweet.
Larry, thank you for making this video happen. It's impressive. Will you be able to do a full review once they're available?
That is the plan for sure
Patiently looking forward to it. Thank you!
The tar is my favorite ar🔥
Can’t wait to get my hands on this
I really want one.of these but the hardest hurdle to get over is the trigger pull off 5lbs to 6lbs would make it terrible for a long distance Rifle. And .308 would be the wrong too for home defense when I live in a condo.
Awesome I have always wanted one now two .
Larry putting in work, keep it up, need to see that six pack while firing an M-60 unsupported lol
I want one!! Great Video thanks Larry
I think there's finally a suitable m4/16 replacement now! Heavy hitting, compact, more range, and almost no recoil
they are using a short stroke gas system which can only mean one thing, more recoil and harsher on parts
I like the changes they made to the basic tavor design. I would buy another tavor SAR if they put these changes into it as well as a barrel with a great twist rate for 55 grain ammo that is what I use 99.9% of the time I am at the range (specifically xm 193).
This is why i love Israelis they florish in of the most hard places battle trained invinciables and their awesome weapons they are legendary
Most excellent!
Very well thought out weapon. I still love my Tavor SAR. One reason I got it was because it was used in the field by soldiers, well tested. Does anyone know if the IDF has been using the 7?
Elliott Butts The 7 might be for the civilian market.
No it isn't used by the IDF. It's possible it was used in limited numbers for testing however. I cannot confirm that though.
I think the IDF X95s are different too.
its true, IDF x95 are shorter, dont have a butpad, have different arangement of the upper picrail and have no picrail under the forhand or the sides (but it can be added)
Good point. I own a Tavor SAR as well and one of the main reasons i bought one was that the IDF uses them, so i knew reliability would not be an issue.
What a gorgeous weapon. For home defense the x95 is likely a better option b/c of the smaller round.
I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! Lol.
Whenever a retired Delta Force operator talks about something you listen with intent. Change my mind.
Excellent!
I love how easy it is to go left to right or right to left .
New upgrades need to be on the x95. Need that locking charging handle feature.
Aaahhhh...guns.....my manliness is smiling back again...
Since it's not extravagant in accuracy, I think this would be a great option for CQC as it's originally designed for. Easily drop anyone with 7.62 NATO up close.
Accuracy guaranty?
That will make help my decision between this and the MDR.
What is the trigger like?
Yeah, like the other Tavor, 2 to 3 MOA.
Been working on it for years and has a 1:12 twist barrel? Should have 1:10 for U.S. sales. 168g BTHP is killer.
1/12 actually does really well with 168. Believe me.
The fact that it comes fully ambi out of the box has my interest. As a lefty, I didn't have much interest in the SAR or X95 since I'd have to purchase a conversion kit in addition to the rifle.
hobbez84 you couldve purchased a lefty model but they're harder to come by.
Yea, I considered a lefty model, but I'm the only lefty in my family. Wife and kids are right handed shooters. Either way, I'd have to buy a conversion kit. IWI did great to cater to us dirty southpaws with the Tavor 7.
hobbez84 heh totally get that. I'm more selfish than you however. All you'd need is a lefty bolt!
I need these two in a buddy cop movie!
IWI Tavor Impressive!
This could really use an aftermarket extended handguard that goes beyond the barrel and over a suppressor. No need to be so scrunched up if you're shooting out of a longer barrel or have attached a suppressor. Since they're not talking about accuracy I'm expecting a battle rifle rather than a DMR or sniper, but the weight isn't too bad for a 7.62 (one round heavier than the heavy-for-cartridge 5.56 Tavor) and if it's fairly accurate it would be very competitive as a DMR. More reliable than the Kel-Tec RFB and probably more reliable than the still unproven Desert Tech MDR. Considering how I want a longer barrel (probably 18-22") in a 6-7mm caliber and a suppressor, I'm very interested in an accurate bullpup to keep overall length manageable and balance better to achieve a handy rifle.
Shot it PLZ! I had a SAR and loved it! Love the fact I can change it to left in mins! Shot it plz!!!
The brits who love bullpups should change there main assault rifle to Tavors.
Jay Carrera as a Brit looking to join the army I agree but we have spent so much on getting the L85 working to a point where it is good that it doesn't make an economic sense to change
John Paddock """"good""""
The original L85 was the most god-awful rifle Britain has ever produced. So much so, they outsourced R&D to Heckler and Koch.
They didnt used to love it they hated that gun for years. It took a long time for the L85 to even be decent
the new l85 are great.. no point commenting on the initial variants
Please make a video of the Beretta ARX-200.
Semi auto only Negev? That’s what i want to see!
A Tavor e a Aug são sonhos de consumo
APRIL!? How about February... March? You guys are killing me!
This is the gun that should be sold in all calibers. 7.62x39, make it happen, IWI.
Nice weapon. Great presentation. I’ll keep my X95. 223/5.56 is much more available and easier on the wallet making training sustainable.
as a lefty shooter - i have never enjoyed shooting more than the x-95 converted. you would be the 3M of guns for lefties! take my money!!!!
I need one of those.
that's so cool 308 tarvo :) gotta move to the usa
Holy length of pull Batman!
You know the Canadians want this. Just make sure it has that longer barrel
Come on, Larry!!! Take that T7 to the range and put it thru it’s paces - both in a CQB scenario as well as shooting in all positions and off the bench, out to 300 M’s!!!
But is the barrel free floated?
It is not. That was a misquote from our friends overseas
there's a ring connecting the barrel to the upper receiver... like most assault rifles
I love my RFB 18”. I might add this one to the collection! What was the barrel size?
Very good design
He did a good job explaining it and demonstrated safe weapon handling when moving it around
I want one!!!!
I’m curious if the magazine will fall out or is retained when the release is depressed. If one handed operation was required and if the magazine is caught after being released, I feel like an extra step was added in order to reload. Just a thought. They definitely put a lot of thought into this weapon system.
chocolatedumdum2 nobody should ever rely on dropping free unless they're shooting competitively.
Man I want one
This beats that MDR from Desert, hands down.
when is the longer barrel coming out
I can't seem to find one anywhere
*IMPRESSIVE* 😲
They need to make this version of the Tavor in 5.56.
Is this going to be 20 MOA after heating up like the X95 was?
I want that gat!
What is effective range of this great gun?
Please make a video of the new AK-308 assault rifle .
This looks so much like the Desert Tech MDR. It never occurred to me how much “inspiration” Desert Tech must have taken from IWI.
Sweet! Can't afford it, but, still, sweet!
It is time for shot show 2019, where is the Tavor 7?
LMT please!!!!!
IwI is the shit
Is there a way to get a barrel @7 to1
Hope it shoots better than the 5.56 version.
Accuracy?
I WANT!!!
