what about temp results?
It's expensive, for that price you can get an Acer with a 4080 and 240hrz at bestbuy right now..😅
Or just stick to a steam deck and save on weight and not have to put it on your lap.
Legion GOOOOOOO!!!!
The Acer nitro 5’s are ass!
@@joycmo6425 gaming laptops aren't even portable. They last like 2 hours on battery. I'd rather game on a desktop at home and steam deck on the go and not break my back.
Very interesting product and showcase! Might give it a look
Ca you charge it via USB-C too? I'm done with barrel jacks lol.
hey bret, I really Need some advice
I'm in south africa
i want to buy something from wootware, its a laptop with a ryzen 8840hs
but i also think the Asus vivobook s14 ryzen 7730u
i cant find a comparison between these two system configs so... can you try it?
The 7730u chip is a low power previous gen Zen3 CPU that only draws 15-30 watts on average. The newer 8840hs will stomp this in performance.
Idk the loq 15 with the ryzen 7840 and 4050 for $650 did pretty good for me... it came with 8 gigs but upgraded it to 32 gigs and has an extra ssd slot
For what gaming laptops cost, I would literally carry a sff pc, and a portable monitor and call it good. I purchased and Alienware back in 2017 that weighed 9 pounds and cost more than the better performing pc I built a year later and it couldn't be upgraded so it literally sat until I gave it away. Going forward I will get a mini pc(cute little buggers that fit in your hand almost)
and portable monitor so I don't have to worry about cracked screens that cant be replaced, I get a keyboard and mouse I prefer and its still portable with an included power bank.
If we’re talking about this gaming laptop specifically, which is priced at $1,699USD right now on newegg, I think it’s priced correctly considering other gaming laptops.
I went onto pcpartpicker and built a similar spec SFF system without any compromises, and it costs about the same with peripherals and a portable monitor. The PC will run better in temps and performance, but it just cannot beat the portability of a laptop.
You can take the PC setup to like a hotel or any place that’s not public when away from home. But when you go out to a cafe or any place public, you’re gonna get some glances and stares. And you would have to plug in the pc, plug in the monitor, plug in the keyboard, and plug in the mouse. When with a laptop, you just plug in the charger, and maybe a mouse, then turn it on.
The laptop would weigh less, make probably the same amount of fan noise, gives off less heat, and won’t be a hassle to carry around. You can even carry a laptop without a bag, unlike a SFF PC with a monitor and peripherals.
I used to own a laptop that was overpriced, but it was from Razer so it was bound to be overpriced, and I gave that away for a fully built PC. So I understand your point, but laptops have been priced CLOSE to what they should be priced at. But they also have to make profit somehow. Treat a laptop like a prebuilt system, because it is. Of course you can get a better system for your money if you build it yourself. But if you compare this laptop to a prebuilt PC. The laptop costs either about the same or less. I’m sorry for yapping a lot, but I just wanted to get my point across. 😅
Idk man but there doesn’t seem to be much of a reason to take this over something like a legion
Great video!!
Like the shirt, Bok be fok!
For reference, my last year's model Asus 4070 laptop (with 4 cores disabled to make it even) casually gets 1470 in Cinebench 2024. This gets 931. For the same price. That, and XPG/ADATA software has always been lackluster. I get needing to advertise to make money, but advocating for a subpar product doesn't instill a lot of faith to buy something from you, regardless of the scripted rhetoric sales pitch.
Its not available in my country ;-;
like the look, but for the specs it seems pricey.
I can't stand the stickers on the front of PCs. Not only are they annoying if your hands really against it, not only do they tend to wear off and look terrible, it just looks super tacky.
Unheard of, expensive and every other tech CZcamsr is reviewing it. Makes me feel like everyone got a free laptop + a decent paycheck. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this over others...
It's basically a Tongfang chassis laptop then sold to companies likes XMG, Eluktronics and in this case ADATA.
"It has a matte coating which makes it look gorgeous".......no....no it doesn't make it look gorgeous...that's glossy hunny ;) Damn you Newegg and your required talking points!
I don't support Newegg.
Ah, but its a CHina based company. So automatically black listed.
XPG is very popular in Europe though... not some unknown brand.
@@100500daniel Oh i am sure its popular and a solid brand. I have seen it many times. BUT sadly its tainted by being a Chinese owned company. That is just something i personally avoid buying from if possible.
@@cleny217 OK Donald 💁🏻♂️
@@100500daniel Sorry, i dont like supporting the CCP. Genocide and dictatorships are not ok 🤷♂
