"To which I added a basic urine material."
I'm looking forward to the advanced urine material.
PUHAHAHAHAAAAA :) :)
@@w花b M_piss
That only comes packaged with the Ultimate Feces & Urine Bundle in the marketplace. :D
@@zinetx *ultimate feces*
It is fizzy and bubbly with chicken soup-like consistency
A minute of silence for the person who gave his blood to be scanned for the decals. 🙏
🙏
So how do you explain all that pigs blood in the bathroom?
And his scanned urine material. 7:00
😂😂😂
f
This is not Silent Hill. It's just a normal public toilet in Mexico.
😂 Damn you
Yeah
Lmfao
Oh so you from Mexico then.Should have know you would be there.,🧐😲😳😅🤣
Lol
0:18 The scariest part is how close together those piss pots are in that dark corner.
Don't cross the streams!
I never click so fast when I see Quixel , UE4 and Silent Hill
same
Yeah you are too stupid to click slower.
Me in the early 2000's: "Damn halo CE looks great"
Present-day me: "That's a poorly lit urinal"
Honestly, this perfectly encapsulates how spoiled we are lol
@@jericosha2842 damn right
how much money do you need to create silent hill's remake?
You'd have to ask Konami... sadly.
@@MetzMan they hold the license hostage
we need to storm konami 2020
around 10 million dollars i think and Konami autorization
Just call it quiet mountains and you’ll be good

I got so happy and excited, once I saw Quixel uploaded Silent hill in UE4 :o
Please do more!
Love how the Uribe material is labelled “M_Piss”
I love just watching you guys create stuff
Wiktor is incredible! Please continuing making breakdowns like this
In my restless dreams, I see that town...
Never clicked so fast on any quixel video like this. Silent Hill in ue4 really? I love silent hill 1 and homecoming. Thanks for making this video quixel
Quixel is Amazing! The work you guys do is truly Awesome. Thanks.
Yesss, we have more amazing content. Thank you so much!
I don't know much about video game creation but this looks so awesome. I love all the detailed work on this environment. It's looks like something out of a silent hill game, reminds me of silent hill 2.
these videos are pretty cool. nice way to showcase some assets. everytime i watch them i think id like to give it a go myself but can never decide on a concept lol.
It would be amazing if you guys could create one of these entire scenes on stream one time, including the blockout, modelling and mixer stages.
best tutorial! Amazing, keep with silent hill scenes 😍
2nd most inspiring video I've seen this week
For an early ps2 game the graphics were outstanding such a good game
awesome as always!
We totally need a silent hill remake there are so talented people out there.😲🧐😁
This aged amazingly
this guy is amazing! Love his works
amazing work
I love how it takes hard work to make a bathroom look disgusting through computer rendering, but it's just the opposite in real life.
Keep making more these videos I love it even unreal engine channel is not creating this much content in such a good manner 👌👍
Dude this is beautiful
Looks fantastic and thx for sharing the way how you did it.
Hell yeah looking forward to it
I love these horrid disgusting looking environments in games. Awesome re-creation! Would love to see more of these!
Pls someone hire this guy
Amazing work Quixel, I love your attention to detail with the Silent Hill 2 style bathroom, you should remake the whole game and make it playable, I'm subscribing :D
Man I absolutely love your channel, I built a monster PC and started my dream of making my own FPS horror shooter.
Insane stuff, great vid.
AMAZING WORK!
Don't know anything about unreal engine. But I adore your work! I wish there was more of SH content like this, because I'm a huge fan of this series!
This looks amazing 💯🔥
Awesome video 👏🏼
Jesus christ, the lighting and particles are what really makes it look more realistic!
Great job bro
Perfect, only the whole game left for you to do :D
Nice working man keep
it up
I noticed that the final result he shows is different than the one include in the tutorial.
the sink is broken.
toilets are tilted.
blood handprints are removed.
some decals are added like the one on the door.
How do you create the assets and decals? Noone has a video saying anything about it
insanely amazing.
The thing about what made silent hill so terrifying is the high understanding of visual culture and details. Even though your work is original and technically very good it lacks some of the things from the original scene. Here are some things I noticed by comparing the two:
The toilet seems narrower in the original which creates more claustrophobia, also the walls seem unusually tall so the ceiling is higher making the character small in his chaotic environment.
I'm not sure if this is blood in your work but in my opinion it is precisely the lack of blood in the original which makes it more uneasy. Because it creates the sense of confusion and mystery. We are drawn in with these feelings and try to understand what is going on. The lack of blood is replaced with rust, dirt and darkness to create dread and more confusion. So all of these things are here to ultimately frustrate us into helplessness by reducing are ability to understand what is going on. We are thrown into a unknown world and have almost no control. These are of course primal human fears. And they are all created by these rich little details. The lack of light, even the walls and door are not same color. The illusion of blood is created with the reddish tint on the walls, floor and even the tiles. Its like we are looking through bloodstained glass or some red filter. Very subtle and yet it makes it look like the whole scene is drenched in blood without actual blood. It is this detail that separates normal shithole toilets from this one by creating a subconscious sense of insanity. Also the awful stains on the door and walls, we have no idea what those stains are, the broken glass indicates violence, ect...
I couldn't put it into words, and so many years after finishing Silent hill 1 I understand now how one key component of horror applies in it: Make the player do the imagining. It's not blood, it's not rust, you can't tell exactly what it is. The room looks normal enough, enough to be unsettling and not ridiculous. A little uncanny.
PS1 graphics helped immensely with it, but SH2 also succeeded with better graphics.
Thank you for this comment, you have great eye for detail. Are you in game development? Maybe as an envirorment artist?
I know I'm replying to a 2 years old comment but Silent Hill does have blood in it. One of the very first things we saw in SH 1 was Harry's dream in which we can see a mutilated body tied to a metal fence and puddles upon puddles of blood on that narrow alley. Silent Hill 2 also has some blood: don't forget the street in which James first saw a Lying Figure was smeared with blood. Not to mention SH 3 which was even gorier. So, the SH series does have blood, but fans tend to focus so much on the psychological aspect of the horror element they seem to forget that.
Finally some proper assets to recreate my home appartment.
awesome work 👍🏻
Hi I'm new to unreal engines &
My question is, y are the asset alignment and projections perfectly pre-determined?
como se chama esse aplicativo que manda o material pro editor
Silent hill music on the ps2 always scared me so much, also this looks amazing
this is amazing!!
I love silent hill game all versions and your project is very nice thank you.
I'm thinking of jumping into Unreal. I work in 3ds max so would it be easy to catch on quickly???
Where did you get the urinal and sink model? can't find them. :(
Great stuff 👍
hi victor any chance you can post the room you made in maya so we can practice using the assets, or even do a tutorial on how you made the room, awesome work by the way
Where i can download the models(Urinal, trashbin, sink)?
I'm a big fan of the silent Hill. And good job!
you make it look so easy
would Revit or CAD files work if i import them to UE4?
What is the height of the walls?
can this work in a real time gameplay scenario of an action game? I mean with so many decals and ray tracing or should we need rtx2070 gpu for smooth frames?
How do yo get your UI layout to look like that? i just downloaded UE4 and there's so many options and templates to choose from ,also could you send me the project file?
i love u for doing this
can you make a video how did you rendered the video of it?
Hey ... Can you please tell ..can I use unreal engine 4 with Rx 560 i5 2nd generation and 10 gigs of RAM
the plugin for ue 4.23 is still not compatible. It crashes while opening
Where did u get the asset models from?
I always wondered where the phrase "tooting your own horn" came from...
Wher did you get your Urinal Mesh?
10:35 well only as long as he’s still making scans then we’re all good.
How did u made the room ? Blender and then imported it in UE ?
Whats the polycount on those toilets?
0:38 why you decide to transform a toilet's cabin internal door to the door through the wall outside?
This better become a game
Full game by any chance? Amazing, amazing work.
i love to see a full tutorial from the ground a step by step tutorial for sure i will buy it
I really need to learn how you create the transition between those 2 scenes ;-;
Looks like my bathroom when I haven't cleaned it lol
How did you take the chunk out of the sink at 11:37? I was thinking that you just swapped the sink with another static_mesh with the broken corner.
What pc build should i buy for this kind of work? One with ryzen 3600, 16gb ram and a rtx 2060 / rx 5700 should be enough?
Do all the initial assets have UVs? (walls, door, floor..?)
Next step: Make a Silent Hill with this graphics!
just amazing!
In a normal game, people would spend about 11 seconds in a room like this. In VR, maybe 3 hours.
Is the geo available?
nice vvideo, where do u download the props? sink, toilet, urinal?
...that was awesome!
If Quixel make a game it would look insane
1tb size game.
Yeah and run at a rock steady 60 frames per minute.
Bruh even a 2080Ti will not be able to use full real time raytracing and get 60 fps, in Battlefield 5, RTX is only used for Reflections.
@@iroquoiskaram8639 I said 60 frames per minute
@@NoTengoIdeaGuey I say 60 frames per year
why are my megascans decals transparent? they are in the scene, they are placed correctly, and I can see them, but only barely.
This is cool but it would have been helpful if you showed where you got the clean bathroom from. I found the "scary bathroom" in the marketplace but couldn't find the clean one anywhere.
Best material name ever spotted in a video: "M_Piss" xD
Awesome work mate,hey..dead space enviorment would be great!!
i love you man keep going ❤❤❤
I want to be a game developer and this inspires me more to become one. Awesome video!!
great job quixel
Good stuff 👍🏼
