The drone market is changing rapidly all the time with major advancements in technology and especially in prices due to competition in the industry. A year or so ago, this HS700 drone by Holy Stone would have not only been impressive, but a steal at the asking price! To us, it seems as though they've just come to the market a little too late and are asking quite a bit too much. Don't get us wrong, there is a lot of fun to be had with this drone, and it actually flies really really well, but for your hard earned money, there are just many other drones on the market that we would recommend much higher over this one. It's a shame too, because Holy Stone (while slightly over priced in the past) has always come through with a really nice piece of tech. What do you guys think? I haven’t been at this hobby long, I did some research, and was considering a Holy Stone, I am SO glad I saved and bought the Spark. I worry that someone sees a review from someone that isn’t above the board, and glosses over the flaws of a drone, then they get a trash drone, and then think the whole hobby is rubbish. Thanks for being above board, and giving an honest review.

had this drone for over 3 months already and have had zero problems with it. gps/stability works perfect, it always records when its told to, and the camera is very usable. my only complaint was battery charging time being 4 hours, but other than that i taught this drone was very solid. Maybe the manual wasn't fallowed right, or maybe you guys got a lemon. Either way, i feel like this review could of went much better. People, make sure you watch other reviews on this, it really is a good product.

FYI,...To record push and hold the button for a few seconds. Push the button quick takes a photo. And the app only works once you've calibrated the drone and it's ready to fly then turn your app on. Oh I also have the one with the on and off button.
I agree. It’s all about price-point. Spend the $100-150 more for 3 to 5 levels above in quality. Research is key. This is a great channel to see a vast swath of price VS quality. Not to mention a cute, new baby. 😊
First let me say I really like you guys channel. Second HS actually made a model with a tilt camera function (HS700D) It cost around $265 on Amazon...thank you keep up the good work...

I love that you guy's don't sugar coat things. If it's a dog it's a dog (no offense to dogs, Ha!) I just orderd a Parrot Bebop 2 with flight controller and goggles on Amazon for $250! I can't wait to fly it. My birthday is the 5th of December. My wife says I can't open it until then :^(

Hubsan zino! really happy to know they upped their game since their tiny tiny drone!
I have had bad luck with camera mounts of this type that I have bought for my H501. Two have snapped at the baseplate under the weight of my GoPro after only a handful of flights. The added weight of the camera eventually brings the drone down hard regardless of how often I tried to land softly...then SNAP! Busted
UPDATE on my preordered Zino: So far no notice of shipping after Hubsan has missed every deadline it has set for itself. Even the Hubsan forum is getting fed-up. Customer communication has been poor and garbled. I'm disappointed only because Hubsan keeps sending me emails that essentially just asks me to "be patient". I will let you know when the production models are in our hands

To be honest I think they were kind of ruthless towards this drone. They seemed to bash it in every way possible. I just bought this drone for myself and I think it performs awesome! The FPV has never cut out on me, it flies fantastic, and when I bought it the price was not 330$. It was 284$. Plus just the sheer volume of stuff they include with this drone is quite generous of Holy Stone to do. Personally, I do not think it is overpriced for what you get. I am just an amateur pilot so I needed all of the extra things that it came with. Overall I think they were a little hard on it. Definitely, a nice drone to have.

This is definitely a rebrand of the MJX bugs 3 pro, but yeah the jjrc X5 Epik and bugs 5w are definitely offering more for a lot less money. The bugs 5w with two batteries was 130 cad on Alliexpress during the 11.11 sale.

I've experienced 2 Holy Stone models. HS 150 Bolt Bee is my favorite. I gladly pay $45 for Bolt Bee, and often it is on sale or has a coupon code for less. The other Holy Stone quad I have owned is HS 170 Predator. At $39 it's priced right EXCEPT it doesn't last. I've had 4 Predators, and every one eventually developed a gyro problem, drifting hard in one direction and untrimmable. I won't buy a Predator again for this reason.

The price difference might be in part because the JJRC is 720p, the battery is not protected with a hard case, and the power plug is different, note the jjrc batteries will charge balanced faster with a cable plug instead of just the balance plug. Just my thought.
I feel like you’re review on the HS 700 was unfair been flying this drone from HOLY STONE for several months now and I feel like the review you did on it was unfair maybe reading the manual a little better would of help . This one . First of all you did not read the manual very good this is very in not professional and second of all the pad goes on the back side of the camera for stability of the cam . I hope in future videos you do a better job on reading up on the products before you do a review. plus there customer service Dept is very good.this is why so many buy there products. I have tried other drones from other company’s and have got poor support I ha e 3 DJI’s and yes they are better till

I'm sorry you feel that way, but honestly Very Glad to hear someone's perspective of this drone "from the other side of the fence" :-) You've gotta consider this drone from our perspective my friend. We literally fly hundreds of drones every year, so we are Very Confident when we say there are other drones that will give you way more bang for your buck. Also, notice in the video that we praise Holy Stone, as we think they are a great company 90% of the time, though maybe a little high on the price. Suggesting that we didn't read the manual is just a low blow, and I think maybe unfair. Obviously we read the manual. I'm happy to take the time to discuss things with you, pros and cons, yet you go so far to say we don't read the manual.. Sounds like maybe you are taking this "review" personally? We've always praised their customer service as well, so maybe you are new to our Holy Stone videos? I hope you aren't taking my response out of context, but I FIRMLY stand by my final thoughts on this drone and I wouldn't recommend it knowing what else is on the market. I think our video is very fair and just. We agree with your viewpoints of the DJI 3. Please, keep any response professional and I'll be happy to continue this discussion.
I would agree, mine is on order, and with all the features on this drone vs. the others I looked at, there is not anything comparable in this price point. I paid 280.00 for mine at Amazon.

I think you're right about too much too late but that's pretty common for anything tech related. The day you buy it is the day it became obsolete. Waiting for your final review of the Hubsan Zino but if first impressions hold true I think it has the potential to knock out a lot of the completion.

Explain, please! I purchased this drone. I wanted to replace the original camera with the CamPak action camera. What do I need to do to connect with the camera and not lose control of the drone at the same time? .

That's honestly a good price for this drone, at least way more fair than the $330 when we posted this video. I've seen the JJPRO one come in on a flash sale (through our link in our video description) for as low as about $120. Personally, I'd go JJPRO every day in this instance. Nothing against Holy Stone though, as they do sell good products.

Another MJX bugs badged engineered as is the JJRC, but obviously this version has software issues, I agree with your views about missing the boat (Holy Stone seem to be a US amazon outlet that is not available in the UK, I reckon some people view this vendor as providing trust worthy quality products and do not look any further). As I have mentioned in previous comments, I cannot see MJX sitting back now Hubsan and Xiaomi have launched upmarket and radically technically advanced hobby grade quads, which is why I think the Bugs range will soon be replaced with something exciting !!

I got the bebop 2 very stable drone and v good video loads better than my bugs 5w makes it feel like a toy grade lol
The only good point I could see is no jello, and of course the landing legs are cool. Great video but no, I’d rather buy the Zino. The refurbished Spark on the dji web site is $279.
@Icantdrive55 Now that’s a DJI price a lot more people can stomach. 😁 Just have to keep an eye out for a Spark (usually new) and controller combo offer; at times, that can be an even better deal if you’re already thinking about adding a controller (and you definitely should!).
I would reccomend paying 40 more dollars and getting a Phantom 3 Standard

- large long lasting battery
- AMAZING GPS and altitude hold capabilities

Paid $242 on amazon on sale, has button to turn on and off must, have worked most bugs out Will do what it claims except battery life. It is pretty tough as well got mine stuck in tall tree tossed 16 foot by 3inch pvc pipe to dislodge and it hit hard knocked the camera off. Had to change blades but still works fine.

So would you say the hs700 cost to much? You weren’t really clear about the pricing in your video.
This time every year we get all different flavors of sweets and bitters, but it can be to our advantage sometimes.
For some reason you can’t run anything bigger than a 32 gb SD card. It should tell you that in the book but it does not. But, if you pull that SD card it will record onto your phone without a problem. I have a 700 D model but it holds altitude just fine.
Mine has worked great since Christmas without any issues, and I am not experienced at this, my son gave this to me as a gift. Just thought I would throw those items out there in case anybody was interested in them.
Competition bringing down prices, improving quality. Now if only customer support would keep up! Taking advantage of some Gear Best sales. Had a simple shipping issue that has turned into a real time eater issue. After, several different chats and finally a phone call it may be resolved. I'll let you know. I wish I had watched your video before I bought HS700 drone.I haven't experienced any major issues with this drone. Drone App worked fine for me including capturing videos etc.,. But as you mentioned repeatedly why 330 $ (I bought this as my first drone for 280 $) I agree with your price point comment. Holystone does seem to have good customer support. With other manufacturers upping the game (Hubsan Zino, Xiaomi FIMI A3) in similar price range. HS 700 is way overpriced.
Being that I own both RC drones and RC trucks/buggies let me give you strictly my view on why the opinions differ. It basically comes down to durability and parts availability. Land vehicles by their nature are harder on parts and tend to break more because you're actually driving them across surfaces and crashing. Drones, while they do crash, tend to be less likely to need much more than replacement props or maybe even motors. Vehicles will break suspension and body parts and if there's no replacements available then you've wasted money on a one time use RC.

I paid considerably less on eBay for this drone, so it pays to shop around. It’s a shame you can’t get over the price because you marr what could have been a constructive review. The software has been upgraded and the version I use has no bugs at all. Ive watched several reviews on this drone and the general consensus of opinion is that it’s good value. Sorry, I’m not a fan of your channel, as I don’t feel that your being impartial in your opinion and giving a fair review.
