It's getting pretty rare these days to get our hands on a drone where every advertised feature actually works. Sad really, but true. The MJX X708P doesn't have a TON of features, but the ones it does have get the job done the way they are supposed to. We especially like the visual positioning hold on this quadcopter because it just keeps it held rock solid for a toy grade drone. We think it's okay to be picky at this point, to weed out the weak and bad drones, and to highlight the great ones, like this! What do you guys think? Be sure to let us know in the comments below! thank you guys so much for your honest & detailed reviews, i got into the hobby thinking it would be a big problem to find a well working drone for the right price. I've just broken my toy drone, this seems like it would be an upgrade from that for around the same price. you guys are rad, thank again for your videos i really enjoy & appreciate you guys.

I'll start by saying again, I love the videos you guys do and the honest reviews. It really helps to know before you buy. I had no idea you were so close to us (Travis and Abby) we're in north Alabama near Huntsville. We vacation in Kentucky quite often. Maybe we can get together and fly next time we're up that way. Hi guys , please don't bend for the manufacturer's this is why I like your channel.good and onest report. if they don't like bad feed back then don't tell people there products can do all the fancy stuff when clearly they don't and charge people more for there products. Love the X708P Cyclone, got one last year in Gearbest's black Friday sale and it's just perfect for having a quick flit around and letting friends & relatives fly a drone for the first time. Small enough to fly inside too. 😁👍🏼👍🏼

Nice little quad. Reminds me of the Hubsan Desire minus the GPS. The VPS seems to work better than others i have seen. Looks like fun. Dog food.....WTH....LOL No links for the food?

Wow! I missed this one. Its a beginner? I think it works well! I am so impressed it has enough power to fly against a moderate breeze. I MAY buy one for the heck of it. I try to get others impressed and many times I end end up crashing. lol. I have to srnd uou some pictures of what we have for snow. We are buried right now. Its so deep I do not want to even try and fly a plane. Its too soft and fluffy too. Thats a great drone for flying in wind. Thats funny Abby! Dog food. lol.

My so has had a Mjx X400 for a couple years still flying inside mostly but still works great not alot of distance but decent and camera works still
I live pretty close on the other side of the dog food plant and I smell it fairly often. lol

Sorry to hear that. Yuck! We used to have to tour the baby food plant( Gerber) as kids. I HATED that tour. Then we went to Kelloggs. They gave sample packs to us and the smell was wonderful! I could live there. When we lived in Iowa there was a soybean processing plant that fryed them. OMG! The smell instantly made me hungry. i ate bags of soybeans as snacks when I lived there. You cannot find them in Michigan. It sucks.
@@scottfirman it's not terrible. Like the Saylors said it kind of reminds me somewhat of chicken. I'm not sure what the process methods are or how the schedule works but the smell from the plant seems to only occur maybe once a week at most sometimes longer.
Looks good but I'm thinking of getting a drone with a better camera. This would be my first drone also, but I have flight experience with giant scale planes. Do you still recommend the Hubsan Zino and the DJI Spark? Or, what else do you recommend along those lines?
Now this one is definitely worth looking into. I do have an SG700 with optical flow but it doesn't have a microSD slot and the recordings on the phone is dismal. Cheers again guys. Stay well :)
Yeah this one does have the slot which is nice. We would have showed the video quality but the card we were using was too large for the drone, oops! What you were watching was just a screen recording.
No probs with that guys as I looked at some other reviews on YT that show the onboard recording :) I did notice with all reviews, that the camera doesn't like grass and trees but the buildings, people and other objects look just fine :) Anyway, more to the point .. you've helped me make my mind up and and my lovely wife Marlene is paying for this drone to come from GearBest for my birthday :))) Cheers guys :)

Is good to see a simple drone. Sometimes it is good to just peel all the extras back and just leave all the space to be good at what is really important. Great video saylors just like usual 😃

nice review and a good drone for beginners but you can get the bugs 3 mini for the same price and the bugs 3 for a little more which since I've got experience would go with those.
Very good point! I think I'd rather fly the Mini myself as well, but if you are newer to flying and need the crutch of O.F. this is a really great option. I have my Mini proudly sitting on my desk by me as I type :-)

It's really a fine drone and great improvement over the original MJX cyclone. If only they'd make it 1080p and somebody would program an app like the Tello-fpv 😏. But, I never got it to work it with my Android phone, maybe because it was one of the very first, quite a while ago.
It flies, the camera works, the OF system works in your video and gives a reasonably flight time. I don't fully trust OF, it can catch you out if you do, but for the price it's good

Good drone, video was a bit off. Did pretty good when you let it do it's thing Nate. You never did turn the controller all the way around so we could see if your thumb was off the stick.☺😉😉. 👍👍
Nice little camera quadcopter that performs like it should. But why did you only show a screen recording and not actual video footage and/or pictures? Or is there no card-slot on the quad?

Does this drone have an sd card slot on the quad is is it Wi-Fi only for recorded video?? (all of the footage on this video is screen recorded...)
Yeah this actually does have a micro SD card slot but we used a card that was TOO BIG for the drone so it didn't save anything ;-)
Bummer... I'd love to see a short followup video with some recorded footage. Guessing it's 480p on the Wi-Fi?

I didnt think you were pressing the fight button for rate. Usually you hear the beeps for rates. Its about time for red lights in the rear. Looks like another win for mjx. Sort of highly priced, idk.... I mean the only function really, was the o.f. But it does work good.
Yeah, that was the main function. WiFi FPV looked great, at a reasonable range of course and the OF worked perfectly once we realized how it wanted to kick in. With so many drones having so many short comings, MJX must realize they can charge a little more for a drone that works ;-) Happy Flying John!
My drone has green lights in the front but they are pointed out towards the motors so the camera doesn't pick it up
lol! Sounds like this is one for my wife! Speaking of smells, I used to work near the stockyards in Louisville. That's where all the pigs are kept that are on the way to the packing plant. :( But you wants to talk about smell. On a nice summer day you can smell it 10 miles away all the way into downtown Louisville! YUCK!

You are correct, there is no flip function on this drone but its still a very impressive RC :-) I think you'll really enjoy flying it.

Did anyone notice the red/brown color in the center of the image
Colors are a bit weird. Brownish in the middle, yellowish on the outsides.
