So at first you might think that only the elite have smartphones in North Korea. But regular citizens are now allowed to own smartphones too. Just not kind we're used to. Here's the 3 craziest differences I've learned about.
And last one is actually not that scary, if you remember Western governments have done.
3. The Physical App Store. There they'll have a catalogue of approved apps that you can buy and transfer to your phone.
2. Coverage. There is a 3G network in North Korea, but you are only allowed to call other North Korean phones. And instead of internet, you access the intranet of 5000 state approved sites.

Which is like so hard to do when you consider that we as a society have relied too much on google that now you can't quit Google becuase offices and schools upload their work on drive and meetings are done in meet.

@@PingasFumberto Your internet, although I don't think it is permanent, DOES keep a record of all websites visited by devices on it. Like you could access it as a normal person and look at the entire history of anyone that has used it. Plus the websites themselves keep track of the IP you have when visiting the site - We really don't have much, if any more privacy online.
