Also tested is the range of the RD200 wristwatch monitor, Headplay SE goggles and the Fatshshark with the Eachine diversity module.
As suspected, the RD200 did a whole lot better this time due to being on the right channel.
One of the best ways to fly these wifi fpv GPS drones is with an all in one vtx and with FPV goggles.

I just bought this quad, do I need the other accessories you had during the range test? Did I make I good choice in this price range? There was so many to choose from, my head is spinning
Do you recommend a cheaper version fpv googles instead of the Fatshark Dominator V3? I have the same Holy Stone HS700D and want to have fpv googles for the same range as my drone without coasting more than my drone.
Just got 5he 700e...great drone. Wifi went out after 2 weeks but customer service is sending me a new camera...only bad part is it's going to take about 2 months to get it.
Do you do a range test for the holy stone ages 700 and see how far that will go and also have you tried doing the MOD where are you were take the fake antennas off and put a real pigtail on and solder a real antenna to the controller to see how much more of this since you can get because I’ve seen that happen on another channel where he did them on and he claims he got over 2 miles in distance I’d like to see if you try it and if it works for you thank you

Where are you getting the GPS points to plot on Google Earth? Is that simply from the statistics off the app or is it from one of the add-ons?
There's a gps unit on the drone that connects to your phone via an app, so everything's connected.. kinda a late response though haha

taranis can't bind to this. used the stock tx.
I bought my 700D on eBay from holystone direct for $150 a few weeks ago. I like the flight of my drone but the video quality isn't so hot with the 2k camera. Also it has disconnect issues with the camera. Electrical contact cleaner on the USB connections help but it's not even close to being as reliable as my friend's DJI mini 2.
I did my distance at 10 M. 250 is max. You can get another 50-100 if you fly backwards. I don't have a place to go 2km and keep an eye on the drone. I ended up getting a drone that was defective. They are sending me a replacement.
As always a great video !!!! I just recently picked up this drone. This is my first drone that uses a proprietary battery.There's no obvious way to check the charge on these lipos. Holy Stone really wasn't much help when I asked about how these batteries should be stored. What's the right way to store these batteries if anyone knows?
I normally go with 30%tage for storage and you can get the value of the charge via the phone app :) An approximate value :)

Why is the DVR footage purple hue?
I recently picked a 700d 4k up and am having trouble going outside of the area it shows on the map, I'm only getting to about 25 yards at the most from it, any tips would be appreciated, thank you.
I'm not sure but is there a beginner mode in the settings? If so, turn it off.
Electrical contact cleaner helped mine. Spray it into the USB connections from the camera to the drone

Why can't I achieve maximum distance on mine? Most I get is 119m h and 300m d
The battery charging systems for most drones is ridiculous at best. I wish they would offer options to use aftermarket batteries or a way to charge factory batteries with a rc grade charger. not only is it ridiculous, the batteries cost a small fortune.
The RD200 did a bit better this time. The fatshark was the best but still not enough to peel you out of your Headplays. I know just about everyone has a WiFi phone or tablet to use with the quad but I still say why can't the manufacturer's produce a 5.8g fpv version like the old bugs 3? Nice test, you have more than your fair share of good flying weather over there 😎

Yes the RD200 showed itself off this time! Made sure it was on the right channel and frequency instead of using auto search :)
They really should move on to 5.8ghz or at least have two different versions available one WiFi and 5.8ghz. I’m sure there’s bigger audience for the WiFi version since we all have smart phones but a lot of us have moved deeper into the hobby and have goggles handy.
i'm HS700D user too, my opinion is about the drone is it's a good performance and reliability drone but the video is poor even recorded in 2K video..you should using good action camera quality with lower weight

twin 6in external antenna's on the drone, one on the remote = 3 miles
@john doe you would be bringing all the antennas to the outside. Look up distance mod, its an easy task if you can solder
Got 1270 meters today on mine. open it up and drop the antennas out. taped to the front legs.
No mod to controler yet. cam recorded all the way to verification. had to use a separate cam like you did to see. The 2k cam that comes with it is good for about 300. Keeps recording once you loose video on phone app.useless cam.. Shame camera wifi is so bad and weak..havent figured out how to fix it.

@@marcbrooks3423 open it up you'll see the 2.4 g antenna's should be in the front arms. Lift them out careful..drill a hole straight down by the landing pod legs up front.. then drop them through. And tape them to the legs pointing strait down.
Use a 5g camera with a good little transmitter and receiver.separat battery.
Keep it light in weight. Keep the transmitter antinna at the rear. Point down or straight out back.

1.15 miles in 3 minutes = 23MPH; You launched @ 1:15 and reached auto RTH @ 4:15.
I wish these guys doing all the reviews would do measurements in YARDS , not meters. I'm old school, never did like the metric system !

Great range test Pete and I’m definitely interested in a 5g WiFi camera range test. If you set up the perfect conditions for a WiFi range test I’d be curious to see the max range. Maybe step 300ft away from all metal, remove phone case and keep the phone facing the quad while flying?🤷♂️
