Fun fact: im 22 year old woman who was exercising every day for years. Three months ago I godt covid and even though i was vaccined I got do weak that till today i cant even jog in place. I lost even those small curves I had worked on for last two years. Now, my workouts are mainly senior exercises that slowly help me regain my fitness. Honestly I was usually using fitness as a way to look good. I understood quickly how important it is to focus on health and functionality.
Just a thought for those who end up here, propably way older than me. 😊 We are all im this together.

Eric I'm nearly 70 and have always been agile and active, though would never consider myself athletic. In recent months, I've had multiple falls both while walking and biking. I've hurt myself quite badly though, fortunately, no broken bones but some deep nerve damage and lots of broken skin. I'm paying attention to these and realize I need to work hard to improve my balance. Since all these falls, I've realized that I don't have the agility nor the reactions I once did.

I watch you and it benefits this man who is trying to learn to squat again. I am so inflexible and balance is quite an issue. You r appreciated and needed by stove up geriatrics such as I am

It is true that you need a certain range of motion to be able to squat well

Mr. Daw, thank you very much for the instructional video. At 64 years old, lately my knees have felt, sloppy/unstable, for lack of a better description. I have been using bands for over a year now and have just now noticed this sloppiness in my knees; the band shuffle is now a part of my routine.

I love your creativity in coming up with a great exercises for older bodies! I have been thinking about getting a TRX or something equivalent. Would love to see you do some workouts with that. Thank you so much for your channel and your dedication to older adults!

I like your set of 5 simple, focussed exercises with the band. Can you add one to correct forward head posture?

I would like to use a band and do these same exercises. Where can a buy the same band?? Also, most homes don’t have a big post like you used. Can you demonstrate with more real home furniture.. i know I will have trouble standing on one leg. Hehe!

I was going to ask the same question. I don't have anything like a pole at my house. I thought about some kind of wall anchor but there isn't a good place in the room I like to exercise in.

There are bands for sale that come with an anchor attachment that can be used with a closed door (the anchor on one side and the band and you on the other - a thin linking strap slides between the door and the frame). The anchor can be attached at the top, sides or bottom of the door and slid horizontally or vertically to suit, enabling different exercises to be performed. Plenty of videos on CZcams which I'm sure will explain things rather better.

Search the following on CZcams 'Undersun Fitness resistance bands getting started' (sorry, no idea how to create one of those link thingies). This should take you to a video by Undersun Fitness which shows you the fitness band basics and also includes the use of door anchors - no need for columns in the middle of your room or attaching the bands to your furniture.
      Hope this helps.

I've been using bands for several months and am going to add these exercises to my routine. SUGGESTION: Please make a video using bands to strengthen the lower back. Also any mini band exercises would be great.
