    I dont have a car (living in a big city). Every time I go light shopping, I walk or take a bike. To work in 30% of the time I take the bike (10km one way). I go twice to the gym. I do Spartan races twice a year (6km) and HIIT Trainings 2 times a week. I am 55 years old.

    When I come home I climb my stairs 2 'treads' (stairs) at a time.
    I started this in high school, I'm doing it again at 74 years old.

    I use my stairs to quickly get my heart rate going and get myself ‘out of breath’- I’ll do five non-stop ascent/descents of the 14 steps we have…. I’m 76.

    I have been strength training for 27 years and now that I am older, I appreciate these videos as I am injuring myself. My tendons no longer can tolerate certain exercises. I created a CZcams folder so I can save your videos.

    When doing the calf stretch be sure to be slightly intoed(about 10 to 15 degrees inward). This helps protect the plantar fascia and helps prevent excessive pronation of the foot(or flattening of the arch). With this, you will also get a better stretch of the calf muscles.

    Thank you! This is ideal for my situation, something I can do easily, conveniently, every day! I already viewed the stairs as a mainstay for my fitness but this will give me far more value. Somehow I never thought to figure a way to do even more on the staircase...again, thx!

    Eric, thanks for sharing. We don't have a lot of stairs here but have some other fixtures that would allow the same exercise. Thanks for Sharing!

    Eric, is there a prime time of the day that is best for doing the exercises you have described? I normally go for a walk first thing in the morning. I normally do 1 or 2 miles each outing. I'm still over weight for my age (67) but want to stay as healthy as I can.

      Yes your hormones are best in the morning to accelerate the impact of your exercise and help sustain your exercise patterns and commitment.

      @eddieteabagify Před 2 lety +1

      Dont give up. Stretch your calves first. 2min per day each calf. Ina couple of weeks u wont have that pain. Worked for me!

      With cramps, I would look at a topical magnesium spray- before going to bed. Also consider increasing magnesium rich foods to your diet…
