@@Tate525 you don't know what ur talking about .. if ur doing a lot of reps specially at high speed, a lot of weight goes to ur shoulders, they basically do the majority of the work up, and ur calves down. So with weighted ropes its gonna be a lot harder on shoulders , cuz calves are just bigger and stronger muscles and the little extra weight wont really affect ur lower body, it's like trying to squat with 10kg, but it'll destroy ur shoulder and arms because they're smaller and they directly do almost all the job with the weighted rope.
I don't remember when I subscribed to this channel but this video is perfect for me. I bought a skipping rope a year ago and still haven't taken it out the packaging - I'll take this YT recommendation to get on it in mornings.
WARNING ⚠️: Jumping rope while listening to good playlists is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. I’ve been jumping rope almost every week for six months. It’s tremendously undervalued. It’s great for general fitness and great for relaxing the mind. And in my experience, a great plus to shed fat.
I have been jump roping every morning, for 10mins, since May 6. That’s about 103 days, the results have been incredible. Over the last month I advanced to 0.75lb ropes and looking to hit 1lb next month.
My dad got me into rope jump back when I 5 and used to do every day after breakfast, and I remember Clearly being very athletic at such a young age. I'm not into sports but I love individual challenges and it still being my favorite. It gave such an incredible athletic advance that I can Ace almost every athletic activity
Type 1 diabetic here, if I am in a time crunch, some KB swings and squats combined with sets of 200+ skip jump rope for 10-15 minutes does wonders for blood sugar and insulin sensitivity too.
Always hated running for cardio. Switching to jump rope was a game changer. Lost 80lbs and learned a few cool tricks in the process. People at my gym often ask me if i box (i dont😅) i switch between a lighter rope and a heavier rope as well as wearing 12lbs (total) ankle weights
AI listening in through your phone. Sometimes I swear I don't even say a word about a subject or look it up and my phone still pops up with something relevant.
Along with the jump rope, another unsung hero for exercising is the hacky sack (foot bag). It’s incredible what it can do for cardio, core, legs, etc. Not to mention all of the body and eye coordination
I tore my deltoid ligament in boot camp and was unable to walk without pain for a couple years. I couldn’t really plant my foot to turn to the right when running. I contribute my recovery to jumping rope. Not only am I pain free now, I’ve ran several marathons and an ultra since. That was 12 years ago.
I love jump rope, but my hypermobile knees done 😭 Literary 3min in and my knee buckled and delt with pain for over 6mo. Im extremely happy for all of you who can just "jump" in though.
I absolutely love jumping rope! It wasn't until I began boxing, another great workout, and confidence booster, that I discovered how much more effective and fun it was over a damn treadmill!! Don't be afraid to box and don't be afraid to jump rope! I have lost 30+ pounds in a year from adding in jumping rope along with better diet and consistent exercise!! ✊🥊🎯

Glad it's helped out! As soon as you get good enough at jump rope to do it without thinking it becomes almost hypnotic, at least for me. It's 10-15 minutes where I don't think at all, like a moving meditation.
I just noticed this myself and commented nearly the same thing on a short. I guess it's time to dust off my jump rope that's been sitting by my front door for months!
I went from 76 kg to 69 kg with the jump rope , running and different exercises. This was in 2020. Now I am back to square one but I have started again and I will shed some weight again.
Is youtube reading my mind? I saw my old jumping rope and was thinking, " Oh maybe I should do some skipping.". I've never searched for jumping ropes kinda video, and here it is in my yt feed after like 20 minutes of thinking about it.
It's been a week since I started jumping rope. The first day I couldn't do more than 3 or 4 skips. But, on the third day I could do a double skip! Even thought I start again, because I lose momentum after. All I have to say, jumping rope and sparring with a bag are the most enjoyable cardio exercises I've done. And you feel more proud of yourself, rather than walking on a treadmill or outside for half an hour.
I've been using a 2lb weighted jump rope for years and holy crap...it works. My shoulders are massive and my cardio has greatly improved. I might be switching to a speed rope though because of how gassed I get when using my weighted rope. Anyways, love the videos! Also, my version of a jump rope routine is that when i mess up skipping rope, I owe myself 5 Navy Seal Burpees before I can resume jumping.
I used to love jumping rope in Elementary school and was often one of the last ones standing in our little competitions. I might have to go buy a jump rope today 😮
It's difficult the first month you get back into it. The feet and ankle ache and your jump timing will be way off. But if you can make it through that it becomes a lot of fun all over again.
My experience so far for anyone interested in starting: I recently started to jump rope like last week. I thought by just doing 15 minutes a day as a beginner would be fine. I've been going to the gym (consistently 2-3 times a week) for over a year and I thought it would be cool to pick up Jump rope. I thought I was reasonably ready to start. I did 3 days in a row of 15 minutes and I started Uni and so I've had to walk like 3 miles for like 2 days and one of my knees is killing me. I think within this past week I've put too much strain on my legs and so it hurts to bend. I would definitely start with less if you haven't prepped your legs or been doing a lot of cardio recently. I don't think I have any condition or tears since my leg feels better when I wake up in the morning it only hurts after I've spent a day walking. Ima wait until I "fully recover" before I start any intense leg workout and I'll probably start lighter once i do.
Last year I did 5000 Skips/ Day for 100 days straight!. I always made sure that I cross the 5000 mark. I weighed around 83 kg and it took me around 55 to 60 min to complete the 5k mark. By the 100 th day I was able to complete 5000 jumps in just 28 mins and my weight dropped to 76 kg. I didn't maintain any diet and was eating all kind of sugar and junk. Had I stick to a strict diet , I would have lost even more. My stamina had greatly increased by the 100th day. Now my weight shot back to 88 kg and I am gonna start again on September 1,2024. This time I'll be avoiding all kind of Sugar and junk and start with 2k jumps/day for 30 days and 3k for the month of October and 4k for the month of November and 5k on the month of December! My target is to go below 80 kg.. It's to time to take my Speed rope out!

I lift weights, do resistance bands, calastics all that. That weighted jump rope is the best workout equipment i ever purchased my entire life. U will get shredded so quick!
i have had crossrope, bought as a bundle for many years and still kicking. The thing is that, I also have a less than 2 eur rope bought in Vietnam that I find myself using more often than the crossrope.
What I like least about the crossrope is that it's really pricey to get a full set of ropes. And they have so many different weights, it's tough to know what to use without trying it first. I have like 7 crossrope ropes, but after trying them all I pretty much only use the 3oz rope as a speed rope and the 1 lbs rope as a weighted rope. I think they need a new bundle option that spans more of he weight range and lets you sample more. But I will say once you find the right ropes for you, it's an amazing rope. I rarely use anything else now. And they are always developing new bundles and products so who knows what might show up next.

This is a great video for an overview. I would like to add that for beginners heavier ropes (like the Thai plastic ropes from Twins) are actually easier because you can feel the swing and better anticipate the jumps. As for the lighter ropes, it is harder to coordinate but best advice is to focus more on consistent swings. Most people focus too much on the legs which results in inconsistent swing rhythm and thus getting tripped up.
After seeing this video, I might as well get back to jumping rope, It helps coordination, stamina build, fast reaction and a great to start the day in the morning. This video really proved it.
One more benefit--it improves your timing, which is essential for boxing, basketball (especially on defense), and probably a lot of other sports.
I don't remember when I subscribed to this channel but this video is perfect for me.
I bought a skipping rope a year ago and still haven't taken it out the packaging - I'll take this YT recommendation to get on it in mornings.
I have just started jumping rope few weeks ago. I do it everyday and youtube recommended me this ❤❤
WARNING ⚠️: Jumping rope while listening to good playlists is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.
I’ve been jumping rope almost every week for six months. It’s tremendously undervalued. It’s great for general fitness and great for relaxing the mind.
And in my experience, a great plus to shed fat.
started when I was 36 I'm 49 it's my medicine, I love it 💪
Yes it is. I used to box but after having children I’m struggling to find time to go back. Jump rope helps gives me nostalgia
Bro this is too accurate, I'm really lean that's to this
I have been jump roping every morning,
for 10mins, since May 6.
I never searched anything about jump ropes , i started using it recently and this video was recommended
AI listening in through your phone. Sometimes I swear I don't even say a word about a subject or look it up and my phone still pops up with something relevant.
What a great video, as someone who has been skipping for years I can really appreciate this content.
That was 12 years ago.
couldnt walk because of a bad shoulder?
I love jump rope, but my hypermobile knees done 😭
Literary 3min in and my knee buckled and delt with pain for over 6mo.
Im extremely happy for all of you who can just "jump" in though.
He just made a video about knees! Maybe it will help
Not only was this interesting, but it was a perfect example of how an informative video should be formatted. Awesome!
Long time gym goer who is always slacking on the cardio. Tired of being out of breath and disappointment. Buying rope now. Thank you
I absolutely love jumping rope! ✊🥊🎯
Your videos almost exactly align with whatever fitness problem I have every time
EX: I'm short on time and HIGH in stress, so I need a quick enjoyable cardio. And thats when u made this vid
Thank's for ur vids man
Glad it's helped out!
@@moversodysseyis 500 skips a day good enough for me to lose 1kg a month
Jumping rope was my favorite exercise when I was in my 60-day crossfit boot camp. I loved it because I could jump rope all day.
I went from 76 kg to 69 kg with the jump rope , running and different exercises. This was in 2020. Now I am back to square one but I have started again and I will shed some weight again.
Thanks gona start jumping rope again. I havent done it since the double dutch days as a kid
As a former varsity college tennis player, I remember my coach having us jump rope for ten minutes after practice even when I was in high-school.
Is youtube reading my mind? I saw my old jumping rope and was thinking, " Oh maybe I should do some skipping.". I've never searched for jumping ropes kinda video, and here it is in my yt feed after like 20 minutes of thinking about it.
Same here just started my jumping rope this morning now I saw this video on CZcams algorithm can be scary sometimes no joke

I've never thought jumprop can be this affective
Really appreciate the information ❤
It's been a week since I started jumping rope. The first day I couldn't do more than 3 or 4 skips. But, on the third day I could do a double skip! Even thought I start again, because I lose momentum after. All I have to say, jumping rope and sparring with a bag are the most enjoyable cardio exercises I've done. And you feel more proud of yourself, rather than walking on a treadmill or outside for half an hour.
listen to some music
I used to jump ropes as one of my main trainings, I should go back and resume it
That’s it, I’m starting to jump rope, i used to love doing it as a kid
Exercise that I have been doing almost everyday since last four years!!
Great to see like minded peoples and their experiences!!
The art is INSANE!
I jump rope almost everyday and never knew these things. 🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
This channel is gonna hit a million subs by this year
In two different Muay Thai gyms I went to jump rope was always the choice for warm-up exercise and now I know exactly why
I love skipping rope! Thank you for motivating .
My experience so far for anyone interested in starting:
I recently started to jump rope like last week.
I jumped rope today after a long time and it felt SO GOOD😍
Last year I did 5000 Skips/ Day for 100 days straight!.
Definitely recommend that crossrope. The free jump feature is pretty cool
Em 2 minutos de vídeo já me convenceu 👏👏
Perfect workout, let's practice now 💪

With busy lifestyle, Jump Rope is a great modern day workout.
Knew most of this but gotta give you credit for a detailed well put together video. New sub
I ha e been a big fan of skipping rope for years, recently I bought a " flow rope" and I really enjoy it and start to understand how it's supposed to connect your whole body. I ll be really curious to seeing a video of you about it!
Always great videos, always a pleasure to watch it!!
I play tennis at a competitive level, and when i started jumping rope my level really reached the next level, it improved my cardio grestly and my footwork got insanley good.
Im 34 above average athlete never been over weight n my life n a simple short fast will reveal my six pack easily if its not already. That being said last year i got me a weighted jump rope. I lift weights, do resistance bands, calastics all that. That weighted jump rope is the best workout equipment i ever purchased my entire life. U will get shredded so quick!
Your comment made me take the decision to get one asap! Thank you!
hopeless rope is my favorite
i have had crossrope, bought as a bundle for many years and still kicking.
Thank you for jumping with us! We’re glad Crossrope has been part of your routine. Keep up the great work!
My favorite exercise for FAT loss. If you are trying to lower your body fat %, this is the best exercise for you.
Not only will you lose fat, but you will lose it QUICK, doing it consistently.
how long does it take?

I know making this stuff is a lot of work so I just want to let you know so you can keep the great quality up.
I have to go in and proof read the whole thing again. I might try and add to it as well. Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate it!
This is an unbelievable video! well made mate! Love that you’re spreading the power of rope life across the world! 🙌🏽☺️
Rope skipping is the core endurance exercise when I'm training Muay Thai.
I've never heard anyone make jump rope sound so cool
Aziz Brother, congratulations on your wonderful transformation. You are blessed by Almighty Allah with the best Trainer and Mentor in KPK. Bravo to Sir Najib.
Jump roping is my favorite workout i usually do it after every gym time. It create a lot of stamina i could not run 3 mile to save my life but in 3 week i could isily run it
I love the drawings bro, it keeps the videos at a high quality level.
I was very good at jumping rope as a kid. I don't like gym or sports as an adult, but yesterday I remembered about skipping. I haven't researched it today at all but this video just randomly popped in my feed. I'm going to try it tomorrow, I just need to find the rope. I hope it will work this time. If you are a woman who gave birth (twice), you may guess what my problem is.
I love rope jumping. I think it is a great, and actually better, alternative to jogging.
jogging is trashy better do walks or sprints
@@larevolution13 Yep, I do not jog anymore at all.
What's up with jogging
@@tshepofiles7375running in general is bad for your body, it causes wear and tear on everything below the waist, especially if you’re running on a hard surface, it’s better to do other forms of cardio, like jumping rope, assault bike, swimming, etc etc than running/jogging/sprinting, but just to test to see how you can manage running(survival mindset) try to run 1-2 a month and clock your 3 mile, if your 3 mile is under 25 minutes you’re good to go
@@tshepofiles7375 its trashy compared to sprinting or walking.they are way more beneficial thats all
Idk what made me listen to this video because I have no space in my apartment to jump rope but I’m glad I did. A ropeless jump rope????🤯🤯🤯

Thank you, sir.

In the Jump rope we trust!
I am planning to do it for 100 days . English is not my first language, so don't start a war over here for my faulty English. During my periods i may skip 1 or 2 days. But i will compensate it with walking or with other workouts. I will update what I will be doing during that time. I am 17 year old girl and weigh about 55.2kg, height 5'3. Rice is a staple food in my country so i can't skip it. I will eat as usual and will try to avoid junk food and sugary stuffs. My goal is to do it for at least 20 mins. But if i do more or less , i will make sure to tell you guys. If anyone is willingly to join me , I welcome you and I appreciate you. Also I used to be an athlete so it was not that hard to do jump rope. I am kind of in a intermediate state in my fitness journey so don't be discouraged by seeing the numbers if you are a beginner. Push through it. You can do it. I was a beginner at the start of the lockdown and I worked hard to attain this state. I know it will be hard but when I think of myself before lockdown I am proud of myself for how far I have come. If you start today by next year this tym you'll be proud of yourself too.
DAY-1 ✅DONEEEEE . Did it for 50 minutes. I can't believe myself. Since today is Sunday i had more time to spare.

DAY-4✅ Doneeeeeeeeee. Did it for 30 mins.
DAY-5✅ Doneeeeeeee. Did it for 20 mins.
DAY-6✅Doneeeeeeeeeee. Did it for 30 mins.
DAY-7⚫ Very sore today. Didn't do it.
DAY-8✅ Doneeeeeeeeeee. Did it for 30 minutes. Feeling great . I can actually see changes in my body.
DAY-9✅Doneeeeeeeee. Did it for 25 minutes.
Great tips, thanks for sharing!
Agreed, I have a speed rope, a cheap liquorice rope and a one pound weighted rope and the one pound is much easier to learn with.
your business is genius
After seeing this video, I might as well get back to jumping rope, It helps coordination, stamina build, fast reaction and a great to start the day in the morning. This video really proved it. Btw loved the animation for this video, I myself am an inspiring game dev/design and hopefully creating my own content in the future. Mad Respect to you 👍👍
Glad you're enjoying the content! I actually had a few interviews with sony years and years ago about a concept art job. But the project fell through and I decided to change my career direction. But it always seemed like a really fun career path. Part of the reason I started the channel was to have an excuse to illustrate again. Anyway, good luck with the game development, hope it all works out!
