You should challenge LockPickingLawyer to go on that bridge and see how many locks he can pick in one day ;)
Yesterday I've watched his Valentine video where he picked lock without a key hole. It would be really fun to see him picking love locks on a bridge.
You should challenge the LockPickingLawyer to pick the bell...
@@niklasnickel Hahaha... Good one :)
Click out of one, Click on two.....
Definately do that
I thought you had actually melted down the locks you cut off, and made the bell from that material. But I guess that's not really feasible, considering what a wild mix of brass, steel, aluminium and plastics is in these buckets now.
Was hoping for the same as well... Would somehow have been more interesting to me.. though i guess maybe expensive?
Yeah this was oddly disappointing.
mostly it's crappy zinc
yeah... disgusting clickbait
they could just sell enough of these locks to scrapyard to fund a new bell. But too labor intensive i suppose
Imagine being mad at people cleaning the streets off this worthless lock shlt. 😂
No shit so petty and immature that their emotions overule the city's sacred history.
I've been watching your channel for a while now and I just want to say that what you do for your city is so inspiring. Anyone who watches your videos can tell how much passion and love you have for Prague, and I have so much respect for the fact that you use this platform to actively improve your city, rather than just complain about its problems. What you do is really admirable. I think if more people were like you, this world would be a better place. Any city struggling with overtourism should be watching your videos and learning from your approach.
Just think about this. You are now a historic part of this city two hundred years from now, when you are long gone, that bell will still be ringing and it will all be because of you along with everyone else that helped to get it there.
Definitely the lockers dream come true.
This brought a tear to my eyes. You rock, guys!
I am also emotional seeing a squirrel having emotions and then writing about it. Now this brought tears to my eyes
Love locks are just vandalism barely different from spraying your initials on the monuments or carving them into protected trees...
Yes, it's despicable. I hate vandals.
@@namcat53 and unlike the other two examples, it's also a massive scam, I mean, 20 euros for a lock!
The only thing that makes it better is the ability for them to be removed without damaging what they were locked to
@@xander1052 if you buy a lock which honest price is 20 euro, it would be actually hard to remove.
There are legal ways to announce your (possibly finite) love to someone. Putting an only ounce heavy lock that becomes several tons over time, and risks the safety of others and history itself is not one of them.
I could only imagined how did you feel hearing the bell ringing for the first time. Absolutely awesome idea!!!
We can really feel your emotions through this video! You must be so proud and yet you seem so humble about it, you do it for your love of Prague and for nothing else.
Very uplifting :)
I feel that unlocking the love locks is my new hobby :D
I also donated for this bell. Not much, but it was worth it.
Thank you!
you are awesome :)
You are so inspiring, guys! I love your videos! Please, keep working on Prague's problems. You are making your wonderful city even better. Keep doing it. Thank you!
Congrats! Every city should have an honest guide.

Why did the nazis took the Bells
To melt them and to use the material for weaponry
@Addison Feathers me too
@Addison Feathers You may have seen the previous bits recapped in this video (cutting love lock, bell mobile etc.) but otherwise, the bell rang for the very first time last Tuesday when we filmed this episode :)
Congratulations to those who contributed
Continue to get those locks cut and scrap them only to make money for all those lost bells. You're the countries newest national treasure
So happy to see this completed! Beautiful ❤️
I was totally expecting this to be a video about the metallurgy of bellmetal & how it is close enough to a load of melted down locks for this to be possible
This is so noble, unfortunately I didn't know it to contribute. Next time I will. I keep supporting you via Patreon, because I love the work you two do. Keep up the good work.
Greetings, Koen.
Thank you, Koen, we truly appreciate it! See you soon!
I was waiting so long for this video! Thank you so much from someone who has removed locks from a beautiful bridge in Somerset, England, which tourists nonsensically add these stupid locks to, ruining the historic character and beauty.
Yes brother!!!!!!! Prague is 1000x more a victim to this than over here, but I consider us to be brothers in arms against this. I threw away all the locks but you managed to actually do what you said and turn them into something beautiful, you madman. Mad respect, big thumbs up from me, and you're always welcome as my guest to visit the historic Roman city of Bath, England.
This is so much more than just a tourist guide channel. Even though I haven't been there in years, I still love watching these videos.
Lovely to see these useless locks turned in something beatifull. I want to thank you for making the content! because of your content I have visited Prague twice :)
Thank you so much!!
I was in tears a couple of seconds before Janek says, "me and Honza were in tears." This is my favorite Honest Guide story so far!!!
We should probably do the same thing in Rome with all those horrible locks 😠
This deserves Some sort of achievement or world record, Good job on the bell Janek 😀😉😍.
world record of...?
@@welbuk World record of presting old stuff as new
@@welbuk Turning something useless into something you will actually use ✌️✌️
@@vaclavtoporcer1303 Dont think you understand the definition of a world record but aight
@@welbuk Anyways I think this really deserves An achievement 😉
So totally positive and heartwarming. You guys are true alchemists 💗🙏💗
Can’t wait to see you guys hit 1 million :) Your Honest subscriber since Prague vs Crooks 😎
You jokingly mentioned the Lockpicking Lawyer in the last sentence, if I heard you correctly. Two comments on this:
1: Great reference! LPL is just great!
2: This might give locksport a new dimension: Picking love locks in Prague's historical sites as both a challenge for locksport enthusiasts and a means to clean up that trash! :)
Pozor / Attention! I don't know whether this would be legal in the Czech Republic, so before people try this, make sure you don't break the law - or at least be ok with any consequences.
My personal thoughts on the two most important lockpicking rules in this case: 1. Don't pick a lock you don't own (or have express permission to) - check! People have donated these locks to the community of Prague inhabitants and visitors! 2. Do not pick a lock you rely on - check! No one needs these locks for locking up anything any more!
I love this SO much. Prague is one of my favourite cities in the world. I can’t wait to return. You are an inspiring ambassador for your beautiful city.
It’s soooo cool and heartwarming that no small effort goes untouched , I couldn’t believe such a small task of a bell could have such a huge impact … I could feel the happiness 🥰🥰🥰
I got teary as the bell started to ring!! Well done! I look forward to returning to Prague to hear the bell in person.
Amazing ! This bell looks amazing and you are too ! Well done !
This is absolutely amazing and one of the most moving moments I've ever witnessed. It's great to see you guys, your love for your city, and your tenacity to make it as beautiful and safe a place for everyone. I hope you guys never stop; I've fallen in love with your city, and I'm more than moved by your work.
What you do for the city of Prague is super inspiring! Sending lots of love from Piacenza, Italy
I love this so much!!
That's very heartwarming!! ❤️
Simply amazing, thanks for doing this!
Honest Guide: I agree with you, they had to go!!!
Now its more beautiful and that area’s beauty in Prague can now be preserved + its history too!
Love all these videos, Thankyou for all the good you bring into the world and doing your best to remove all the bad.
Great job, that's a beautiful bell. Lots of people giving a little bit of money here and there sure can accomplish a lot of things.
This is so amazing guys 🥰
this is amazing, even I cried while watching it :) Love u so much guys
Absolutely love this! Great work guys (from Australia)
Absolutely amazing, the whole team behind the honest guide as well as the donors are doing excellent work for your community.
Well done guys, It is great to see this project coming to completion!
Really amazing, for sure i will come to say hi when i will come to Prague
That’s amazing!!! I moved a month ago, I in love whit the city 😍😍 thanks for your tips about Prague, you make my live easy!
That is amazing 😍 the sound is clear, loud and has a nice ring. Wonderful work donors
This was surprisingly emotional!
Absolutely amazing guys. Super cool and a job very well done.
Woohoo! Loved it. So wonderful!:D
Another great video and awesome achievement, must be amazing from now on when you hear the bell you will know its because of you.
Me and my Czech wife will (hopefully) be visiting again in 4 weeks from the UK, rewatching your videos to get ideas. Děkuji 😁
Are there set times for the bell?
What a cool project!! Great idea!!
love this to see the bell at home! Also when you were up top with the bell, I felt a wee bit woozy. When I lived in Brussels it took my daughters incessant teasing before I could go on the balcony...and even then I didn't stay long!
I was hoping you melted down the locks and made a bell out of them!
Wait I love this, it’s great to put the locks to use sentimentally , they’re not good for the bridge but they mean a lot to people at the same time!
Well done. Thanks for your devotion to Prague.
This is pretty amazing. I was supposed to visit Prague again next week for the Christmas markets but I will have to just explore your videos instead.
You have made Prague a little better by not only removing and discouraging 'love locks' but also bringing a new bell to that breathtaking church. So proud of you!!
How does this not have as much views this is so much more impactful than food reviews. Not only does does Honest Guide makes Prague a safer place, they make lasting changes in the country.
Beautiful, thank you.
INSPIRATIONAL !! can't wait to get back to Prague !
I've seen this in many cities (the locks on bridges). I wonder why the city councils don't put up signs saying not to do it. Sure, some people will do it regardless, but I do think many people didn't know at the time of doing it, how bad it really is for the bridge / structure.
For some reason hearing the bell made me tear up ,,, but yea, bit disappointed the locks not being actually turned into a bell :p
So you didn't melt down all the locks and make them into a bell?
i don‘t think so… it‘s probably just the wrong kind of metal
Thats what I through as well :)
They melted the locks and sold them for scrap and used the money to partially help pay for church bell
wow this is admirable work ❤️❤️❤️
Everyone who donated should be granted a "ring that bell" remote controller :D
HISTORIC!!
I Oh wow! The town has its bell!!!!! Very good turn. You should feel so good about this.
Title made it sound like the bell was made from the locks which would have been really cool
👏👏👏👏👏 we salute you.
Oh this was so good!
Saw you in a German TV Show, you were in Mexico with Peter "ich fall vom glauben ab" Giesel from the show "Achtung Abzocke".
Wow, just wow!
I don’t know why, but the second I heard the bell ringing, I started to tear up. Beautiful video. ❤
Very emotional 🥰
its so cool how much you love this place
Keep on the good work.
That's beautiful 🤩
Good for you, your beautiful City and Country!
This is amazing!
I love this story. Next time I go to Prague again, I will make sure I listen to the bell ring. Thank you.
Fantastic you two 👍🍻
Yall could create a love lockpick monument
Great Video. You are making the world a better place to experience. I love Praha and can't wait to come back. Have a great day.
Awesome job.
You and the people who donated are our heroes. You just moved the human race forward a step or two.
Love the good work you guys are doing. Love Prague so much I got married there. In this very Church!!
That's beautiful
As a contributor towards the bell I can say it was money well spent and I will be taking a photo when I can get back to Prague :-)
Super práce kluci!
Big fan bro😀
This is such a cool thing!
Ah wow, this was a fascinating story. Sadly i couldn't contribute to donate but i wish i did! This brough tears in the eyes. keep up the awesome work!
Hello from Finland! come here again someday! ;)
We had a similar problem with Obike in Amsterdam. One day they just showed up with 10s of thousands of bicycles all over the city. When the counsil tried to reach them they didn't respond. So the city picked up all the bikes and sold/scrapped them.
What a wonderful story
It was a privilege to donate. I hope one day I'll be able to visit your gorgeous city and enjoy the sound of the bell.
And did the LPL just get an honorable mention? Hahahaha!!
The lock are usually bronze or brass and a steel ring. Sure not the proper alloys for a bell, but maybe the metal can be used in more direct way.
This is awesome! great work and hopefully i i´ll visit Prag soon :D It's on the bucketlist! // Marcus, from sweden :)
Good job👌👌👌
I teared a little hearing it ring :')
Fantastic Job
