Next episode: Why prisons in prague are not worth visiting
hahaha xD
Search "Czech weapons law" or "Czech gun law". We Czechs love them :)
Actually, some students claim that rooms in prisons are better than rooms in college. And also cheaper. www.lidovky.cz/domov/studenti-bydlici-na-strahove-zavidi-luxus-pankrackym-veznum.A131025_163340_ln_domov_vsv
@@JBereza interesting, time to break some laws huh xD
That was gas gun - literally more unwieldy version of pepper spray. Anyone over 18 years can get one.
Next Video:We killed a Scammer!
Content ;)
Waiting for that escalation. Some stories actually escalate to that. Like, Ghosthunters who go missing without a trace. [EXPLAIN THAT!]
THats big quality
They already did it few years ago. This was just a cover story. As Janek said, they were cleaning up after themselves
Video after that: Where to hide a body in Prague?
Not surprised considered how many spy movies referenced Prague.
Most of them isn't really recorded in Prague though. I think HG make a video about that topic
@@valium6069 Opposite - mostly Prague serves in films for Moskow or Paris and many other cities
That's because America consider us as part of Russia. So it makes sence for them to make film like that. It doesn't harm anyone, so the important thing is if it's at least good film and they use good locations, even if it's filmed in Moscow told to be Prague or the other way :D It's true that most of this movies, are not even filmed in country it's about xD I watched few videos about that too, it's funny. And there is a scene in Chuck series from Prague train station. The place is totaly made up but with right Czech signs and i think it's just filmed in Hollywood.
@@DaweSlayer I know more such films with Czech titles with ř and ě. There are almost USA films. It is considered that average American doesn´t know anyting about geography and world itself so he can´t notice the difference.

It looks like the Honest Guide has finally embraced and accepted the Trdelník XD
@tomasburi It's called making money on merch
My dad told me a story about my grandfather throwing a gun into the river from the middle of the Charles Bridge in 1949 because he was worried about the Communists finding out that he had a gun.
Smart man.
@@micheljohnson-figueredo8627 I think he was unfortunately, I was too young to know him.
Should have buried it some where far from home so he would have it when he needed it
Man... you give it some real good oiling, pack it into several layers of wax paper, put it into a box and bury it. Just in case.
Thankfully, CZ today is one of the very few countries that still retain gun ownership rights. Soon I may be in a situation similar to your grandfather, but in my case I screwed because the government knows I have two guns.
"So the Czech word at the end is: Magnet"
Oh wow I could never guess what that means in English. 🤔
Gotta beware of false friends.
Saying "I don't like preservatives in my food." will get you odd looks from Czechs.
Prezervativ is something different in Czech.

Honest Guide spent years telling people that Tredlnik is not traditional Czech sweet, yet when they decided to make a T-shirt expressing love to Prague, they used a Tredlnik symbol !!
i was wondering about that too :)
Irony, I guess...
Joke, irony...are these terms similar to you?
I'm also disappointed. Just waiting when this pattern will appear on Wish, Ali Express and other PRC ventures.
Yes i have been saying for years that they are bought by the Trdelnik lobby in Prague
4:32 ‘Thousand off people file for a divorce after CZcamsr retrieves love lock keys from river!’
Lol 😂
hide the lock next time
being from the US, hearing him say “i know the word buckle, cus in the US they always say buckle up!” has me laughing so hard rn
When someone throws a gun into the water, they don't expect it to be taken out of the water.
Yes, and the sky is blue
*It looks like that blank "gun" has spent little time in the water, no rust at all compared to other items found.*
*But I'm not sure they rust easily, they are not made of steel like real guns.*
actually some of them are made on the same "line" like the real ones x)
Depends. Most of the guns are made of an alloy so that they wont handle the pressure of real bullet being fired, therefore preventing conversion from blank to real pistol. Altough theres gotta be some steel parts like springs, screws and other small stuff.
@@vincentm7137 Since they couldn't pull it up with magnet...it speaks for it self I guess.
Mid range and better gas pistols are made with a ferromagnetic frame. Usually "pot metal"
super cool profile pic Joe :)
"the moment you pull the rope..." ww2 bomb goes off : ^)
Actually there were few "bombs" or granades left in the river Vltava. xD and probably there still are, it was maybe half year ago or year ago since police had emergency because of that :)
But don't worry, not nearby Charles Bridge :P

@@AyaseDono I heard stories of Soviet soldiers grenade fishing in the Vltava. Some of them could still be live. Maybe that's why they just banned magnet fishing in Germany.
I live in the UK by London and there was a grenade found in the river. Look up Southend Grenade or something like that and you might find a video about it

Honest Guide's next series: The Dark History of Prague
Youre the kind of guy to find $5 somewhere and go turn it into the cops.
hahahaha bro i hate those youtubers that find a really historic piece of world war 2 history in a river and then go turn it into the cops only for them to destroy it because its a "deadly weapon"
@@lndspk3316 As far as I know, PČR (Czech Police Dept.) does not destroy them, they try to find who the owner is, but if they are unable to find him/her fithin 6 months, the gun will become states property and could be given to a museum and get restored.
@@lndspk3316 gun laws in CZ aren't as liberal as they are in the US, but they are still quite liberal to European standards. They don't just destroy weapons like in say Britain.

I ordered some magnet fishing gear yesterday. I will definitely bring it to Prague next time I‘ll go there. Greetings from Germany!
I was following a German magnet fishing channel, and he said the practice is now banned. Is that true?
You guys always come up with such original ideas for videos. Brilliant channel 😍
5:35 I'm happy that you don't have any hobbies, Janek. It means you'll spend all your energy and time to make more Honest Guide episodes. And that's good for me!!! :D (my hobby is watching the Honest Guide)
A nice way to have fun and keep the environment clean

i like how he is putting his finger prints all over a possible murder weapon haha

Love all your content guys , keep up the great work!
I do magnet fishing in England. It is amazing what comes out of the rivers and canals. I would like to have a go in the Czech Republic some time; I normally holiday in Prague twice a year with a good friend of mine and we love it.
**THUMP**
The Ivan watching the three weirdoes magnet-fishing through periscope of russian spy submarine: "Blyat!"
Janek: "I think we got a big one!"
Good one.
pause at 5:17 that sneaky bastard with hes fingers :P
Man I love you and I love your city and the way you try to keep our city clean and beautiful
Love your videos. Love your work. You are truly inspiring.
We went to Prague last year thanks to this vlogs, and we saw a corpse by the river with police tape all around so yea, talk about fishing
If it was an honest hoodie there would be chlebíček instead of trdelník....
Oh! How I miss Prague. Can't wait for a Day when the borders will be opened!!!
I don't care much about merchandise but Janek is definitely a guy to make an exception for, just buying some to pay respect.
Fishing & beer. Can't go wrong with that combo!

Can I just say the cutest thing ever was when Janek said, "That's right, I know the word buckle, because in America they say 'Buckle Up'" 10/10 Wholesomeness in a video about finding guns and bullets in a river.
Yes, come to Prague...

Wow! That CZ 75 looks new what a catch.👍👍
I have walked over that bridge at least a hundred times in the past year... The fact I was walking literally over guns is just so weird. Wish I had seen them fishing 😂
Great video!
Hi love you guys live from India
Great hobby!! 👌My husband watches magnet fishing on youtube EVERY DAY.🤣 So he really enjoyed watching this video. 👍
I have actually suggested this idea on all of the love locks
I use my boat under the Charles bridge that's one of the best spot for Czech crowns or love locks
Love ur videos
You guys be careful. Just because there is no magazine in the pistol does not mean it is unloaded. You need to rack the slide a few times to clear any rounds, and open the breech and look inside to make sure there is no round in the chamber. Definitely don't sweep people with the muzzle, and point it in a safe direction if you pull the trigger (Janek! 2:18!) It's only a gas gun, but you never know. We all like you a lot and don't want to see any accidents :)
that hook at 2:40 could be useful to use when you are magnet fishing. use it in combination with the magnet and you could fish up slightly bigger items.
Sweet Speedmaster Honza!
Lol 'i know the world buckle!' I hope this guy is as nice in real life as he seems haha
See you next Sunday 😍
That was fun 😊
what a commercial break the most qualitative transition
All of these things can also be from the 2002 flood. I remember my mom told me she lost a lot of books to water then. Sadly, magnets won't work on that :D
Do more!
Not only can you find some neat stuff, you also clean up the river. Win Win Situation I'd say!
Thanks guys, I was wondering where I lost it
Nice WWII Founds!
I love your video. I have to travel to Prague nezt year.😍😍😍😍
johan liebert casually tossing his gun in the river-
In the US they say buckle up in relation to fastening your seat belt in a car.
3:20 omg gumball reference!!
Since Janek said he would like to do this once in a while, I would like to mention Mudlarking somewhat interesting in similar fashion- there tides wash up on river banks this gs long lost to the river.
Finally something interesting
Back in the 70's and 80's, before them new fangled CT Scanners came in, we used to work with local historians and use plain or sectional xrays to asses lumps of mud and rust to see if there was any valuable content inside. Ofrten used to find historical artefacts, flintlock mechanisms and all sorts......Do you know someone in the local hospital?
Janek, everything looks good on you 😂
And what about a video about Geocaching in Prague. We have here the most visited caches in the whole world.
That definitely looks fun.
By the way Janek, will you still be writing articles? I followed you on Seznam Zpravy until now, but apparently you're not a member of the team anymore, will you be writing articles somewhere else?
A bun has fallen into the river in the check republic
Hi Janez i have a video idea u could try, if u are familiar with those big magnets that carry like old cars, fridges etc.
Do u think u could get one from the city dump or rent one and try to put it in the water to see what u would pull out.
Hi Janek, where do you purchase the said magnets for use in magnet fishing? Am super interested to try it :)
Look fun, and it's cleaning the river good idea.🙂 here in Dublin is it would probably be a a pram or a rusty bike's 🤔 the liffey is not as interesting😜
Oh nice, he found Karabiner k98k bayonet case, probably Walter PPK and bayonet, what a lucky guy!
Oh my
Gents, I was watching The Wire and it seems that in sewers of Baltimore you wouldn't even need magnets.
Do more magnetfishing guys😀😀😀
I can't find the clothes for sale! At least not on the website you shared in the description. Could you please check again?
Damn!! Oh and have a nice sunday
I love to go metal detecting here in the US. I have tried magnet fishing too. You would LOVE metal detecting if you enjoyed magnet fishing. Plus where you live there is so much history in the ground that I think you will be finding interesting stuff very quickly!
Metal detecting here is, I believe, quite regulated, precisely because of all the history. As far as I understand, things you find need to be reported if they're remotely historical, and if it looks like anything _really_ historical, preferably left in the ground for experts (archeologists can learn all kinds of stuff from the location that you wouldn't, and that sort of info is just as valuable as the thing itself - often more, in the long run, in terms of learning about history).
Pls do more
the cops might be interested in some of those guns - who knows how many perps they've had to let go because they couldn't find the murder weapon
there were 7 gun murders in Prague this year and all perps are in jail. Most of those were old ww1 and ww2 guns, even famous german luger.
The Czech Republic is one of the safest countries in the world. At the same time, we have one of the lowest crime rates. Why? Because we have legal concealed carry weapons for proven people. Those weapons in the video are just artifacts of the past.
@@LuborSportshooter As a supporter of firearms living in a country where things are way too difficult, I can say Czechia is well known and respected among people who support responsible gun ownership. Too bad that your exams may be taken only in Czech and no interpreter is allowed, but otherwise kudos for CZ.
Will definitely buy your merchandise, you guys save me some money last year when we visited Prague. Almost hand over money to an India guy for money exchange to local currency on the street. Just before putting money into his hand REMEMBER your video... Thanks for looing out ...
Gotta follow that you tube trend
I know someone who pulled up a WWII German flare pistol from the Vltava. Not too unusual, except it was in near-perfect condition, and it was inside a plastic ziploc bag with a mobile phone
I wonder 🤔
When you toss a gun in the river does the river fairy 🧚 apprears and offers you millitary grade weapons?
I found an Uzi in Paris this way back in the 90s was well beyond repair though
there's one obligatory for you, french UZI goes "Honhonhonhonhon"
This so cool
Funny. When I visited Prague earlier this year, in the end of January, I met a guy who was magnet fishing by Vyton. I asked him if he had found something interesting today and he shows me a rusty BIG gun he had fished out of the river the same day. It must have been there for quite some time because it was in a bad shape but I am sure it could be fixed up. So Voltava is now formally known as "Gun river" :)
