Hi Mike thx a lot for this video. You are really the master for dismounting and cleaning the lenses. Your videos are very cleaned , focused and you have gold in your hands. I just got 2 questions : 1/ I got a summitar F2.0 which is dirty. Do you think I can use the same technique to dismount it ? 2/ your video are very crisp with a large depth of field and it seems the camera is your eyes…. How can you see what you do ?? can you explain what is your set up (format , focal length, light ) and how you manage to see what you do with the camera in the middle of your operation field :) thx in advance !!

This is great stuff! I have one of those lenses. I will take i apart and see if I can figure out why the aperture index doesn't line up with the distance mark when the focusing ring is locked. It seems that the barrel turn over about 10-15 deg. Thank You for the instructive videos!

Hi Kenneth, thanks for your informative videos. Do you have any tips to clean the outside of these old Leica lenses? I have an old 'silver' Summicron where the insides of the 'focus ridges' are dirty and I can't find any information how to clean it safely. Thank you.

Excellent video. I've tried this with my Elmar using the rubber cone tools and I can't seem to loosen the name plate ring. Any idea how I can do this without damaging the lens?

Love your tutorials as they have entertained and help me a lot. Looking for a tutorial on fixing a shutter in a Voigtlander Vito B.

@@mikeno62 But I don’t want to leave my job working for bank. I just like to do as hobby but learn properly to fix leica lens.

@@gurugamer8632 To become a leica repair specialist is a lifes calling, you need to live and breathe that, it's nothing you can do on the side. If that's what you really want, then perhaps quit your job and pursue it as a career.
