So proud and happy for gabbia. He needs minutes and confidence of management as a youngster. Young Italian from primavera with passion for the shirt is exactly what we need. Liam was useful but probably should have happened sooner instead of riding the bench all those other years. Hope he keeps up this kalulu type trajectory!

Good take on the team’s motivation overall. Also, as an American, we don’t do Puli any favors by not speaking the truth, so I appreciate your honest, objective takes.The last months has been a little flat for him. His link up play with the other attacking players seems to have dipped too. He just needs a goal to get his confidence up again.

I agree. Same thing I noticed. They only push when they’re behind. It’s like sometimes they’re fine with a “not a loss”. It seems only when the subs come on we get that motivation to push. Hence the reason it appears we always have super subs.

Great video! Super Giroud and Jovic! Leao was great today! Bennacer looked great! Gabbia was great! It was nice to see several good performances. Go Milan! Puli will have a better game next match! Although I think he was involved well in the attacking just didn’t execute as good today.

I feel like Pulisic suffers from the change of formation back to 4231 with RLC playing in more advanced role. Puli seems to have a lot more defensive work to do, similar to what Messias and Alexis had to do last season. I'd love to see what Puli can do in the no. 10 position instead of RLC, but who'd play the right winger then? Chukuweze can't seem to catch form, so maybe Musah? As he has some defensive skills and used to sometimes play in that position.
Musah also played good on that rw, kept hold of ball and also won fouls
I think we should use Mike legs more often in the building of attacks from back, so Theo could run freely on the left and become more dangerous to opponent’s goal. Mike has ball control like a few GKs in the world and we should exploit that more frequently.
I think pulisic was okay and has had worst games than today but found a goal and got better feelings from fans. He didn’t lose possession (from my memory ) like he has in those games where he was bad (imo) but found a goal and received praise. He is still more dangerous and an upgrade in his bad games than our previous options in their average games.
We are in touching distance to top 2. Anything is possible. Inter blew 8 point lead when we won scuedetto. Also we are on par for points at same stage this season compared to our championship season. Anything is possible if we stop leaking the goals!!

It’s nice to see Jovic performing for Milan but I hope it dosent distract the management into thinking that we don’t need another striker because we do.
Best pivot we have imo is RLC and Benny. Both can keep possession and carry the ball. RLC can be a Jaggernauth. Reinders may play better up front behind Giroud
Sometimes the ball just doesn't fall. Pulisic had some good chances that just didn't find the net. He's going to have some games like that just like anyone. He's also going to have some games where he scores multiple goals and assists. I can't fault him for creating and being involved in so many opportunities like he did today.
As an American and Pulisic fan, I get it that he didn't have a good game. It happens. He is playing a lot and might just need a rest. However, how can you give Leao a 5??! He was good on the attack but cost a penalty and a huge mistake passing to the center of the field on defense that Frosinone just didn't take advantage of.
That's what I'm saying. I think both were 2's. Puli was putting in work in defense. So to me it kinda evens out.
Milan would've lost the match if not for Leao. Assisted a goal and set up another. Plus would've had 2 more assist if not for Giroud and Okafor errors.
@@footballkush Milan wouldn't have to be coming back like if Leao would be playing better. Yes Leao in the end pulled something out of his hat. But everyone recognizes that he isn't playing at his best. He also made mistakes during the game, a critical one that cost a penalty to Milan. I'm not saying Leao is trash, far from it, I'm saying he's been doing some exciting stuff and really hobo ass quality stuff. This game wasn't an exception. Puli was average maybe below average. But he also isn't the super star of Milan, that's Leao. Not defending Pulisic, he needs to start getting more aggressive on taking on defenders and positioning himself into better passing lanes, just for starters. My guy @marku157 is right. Think Puli needs a rest along with Leao.
You’re right, Kush. Puli hasn’t been up to snuff for last few games. His form has dipped. I’m thinking he’s tired from getting so many minutes, but that’s no excuse. I’m hoping that if he can just get a goal it’ll spark something. I’m hoping he can turn it around.
However, I feel it’s unfair to criticize Pulisic, and then turn around and give Leao such a good rating. He made some costly mistakes (penalty) and errant passes that easily could have cost Milan more. It seems hypocritical to give him such a good rating when he really didn’t have a good game either.
Hopefully Pulisic's dip is temporary, it happens so not a big deal and a goal will definitely help him. Leao, imo was the key to winning, assisted the opener, set up another and if it wasn't for Giroud and Okafor's positioning, he would've had 3 assists, he did all the hard work only to find his teammates not get on the end of the chances.
And just to give you an idea, sempremilan gave Leao a 7, Eurosport gave him an 8, Gazzetta 7, Tuttosport 6.5 all of them had him no.1 or no.2 in player ratings. So I don't think it's just me. 🙏🏼
@@footballkush You’re right! Since posting my earlier comment, I’ve had a chance to go back and watch the highlights and have watched the game again. Sometimes it’s easier to get hung up on some of the negatives rather than the positives. But Leao did have a really good game. He took players on, and was very generous in teeing up his teammates. I think it’s safe to say I have been humbled in this case. My sincerest apologies!
We have to talk more about that we are the team with more goals against in the top 10 serie a table positions.

I was hoping to see Simic play against the weaker sides. If he gets loaned out there should not be a buy clause. I hope Pulisic finds his form again seems like he is putting a lot of pressure on himself. Leao surprised me with the moves he did in the pocket, haven’t seen that in a while. How you guys like the 4th kit?
I think frosinone came prepared for each of our starters but their level of pressing wasn’t going to last all game and once they made subs they lost structure and our subs changed the game I don’t think it was a case of cruising the game
You are buggin for putting Pulisic as a flop and Leao as key . Leao literally gave up a goal. You can’t be key and give up a goal.
I hope they do good in Champions league. Over a hundred years of history has proven that clubs with history themselves always have better chances of repeating glory. Milan is the fashion and design capital of the world. Certain man made items such as clothing, auto/moto, fragrances and furniture have been evolved and mastered here at the highest level on the planet for hundreds of years.
As much as I admire the calmness of Pioli, I don't think he can take us further than this.

Weird cus the argentinian Commentators where saying Pulisic was the best attacker on the team . Passes just didnt get to him .. and thats strange cmming from argentians. He did slip like twice but there seemed to be an overly wet grass on milans attacking side. I thought puli was decent not a flop
I guess this season was more of a "Times changes" sort of deal, so it makes sense not singing new players if in the end the Coach is going to be leaving in the end. And i seriously believe that one of our key players will end up been sold in the next summer window.

We needed to win this game by a bigger margin. Juve won 4-0 and Atalanta won 5-0 against them. Happy with the 3 points and the 4-1-0 record in the new year but the performances are looking uninspired.
Futures of Leão, Mike and Theo are hanging in the balance. Pioli and Furlani could be leaving in the summer along with Giroud and Kjær. And Cardinale plans to bring new investors.
If anyone who should be surely leaving are the medical staff and the defense coaches. How can their work go neglected for this long ?

I think leao has returned to form, yes he's goal statistic is awful but if we look at him like 1 month ago against salerntina he was just walking around but today he made an wonderfol assist to giroud and didn't just walk around and looking disintrested all the time.
He looks significantly improved which makes me wonder if he was still recovering a bit too!

I was with you for most of this. Especially about Gabbia. I thought he was MOTM... almost.
But to me a 'flop' has to be a liability. A 'good' has to have contributed, which puts 'meh' at didn't do much of either.
For me that puts Leao as a straight flop. He didn't just give up the pen which nearly cost us 2 points, but before that... immediately after our first goal he gave the ball away in such a bad position that it *should* have been a Frosinone goal. When that wasn't good enough... he committed the penalty. I swear it was like he was *trying* to screw up. His effort for the entire game was pitiful. He was a liability... flop.
Puli was not a liability. He committed no dangerous errors whatsoever. He just didn't do anything good either 🫤 Definition of meh.

Yes he conceded a penalty but its a needless handball not like he went in with a slide tackle for no reason. He then dribbled past their entire defence twice to set up Giroud and Okafor who both missed. So he had 2 goal contributions and could've had two more but he gets a flop!? And Pulisic gets a meh!?

Kidding! I usually give matches a second watch [when I can stand it], but haven't with this one yet. I will, with your comment in mind. But what do you call it when a player was both a liability *and* contributed? Also, Puli had 2 great crosses that were *also* missed by their targets and another screamer that missed by half an inch of going in. And I *still* gave him a meh!

Man I don't know if I've mentionned this before, but I hate Conte to the core, I'd rather see a Pioli renewal than to see that man running our team. If he comes, I'll be with him but my opinion of him won't change.
I agree with all the ratings except for Mike's and Aldi's. You just can't let in that goal. That was terrible. Also, his passing was terrible. Why was he launching long passes to Pulisic, the shortest player on the team? I thought Aldi was slow on the ball, didn't create any passes and does little on defense. He gets a flop in my book. The way the Frosinone played, high and intense pressured press exposed Milan's weakness in terms of working together as a team and the weak midfield.
If only we can play 4-2-2-2 as the starting formation

milans midfield sux. they don’t control the game. as soon as they pass to the wings they feel like their job is done and leave the front line out to perform miracles. no give and go’s, no through balls, and never finding space between defenders, never driving through the center, never forcing defenders to commit to release the forwards. you want to see a good midfield, watch man city how they control the middle of the park which frees up players to score

Another disaster class performance against a relegation team🫡, this team never fails to make my blood boil, against napoli a draw or we lose, that’s the pattern of this team.
yesterday was a match where we needed chukwueze. with Pulisic we tends to be too preditctable so it was easy for frosinone to know that everything we did would go through Leao. Pulisic sometimes plays too safe imo and a guy like chuk loves to take on his man every chance he gets.

About the motivation problem… Pioli was the first person saying Inter is going to win the Scudetto because they are the favorites. You can’t do that and expect to have a great performance from your players, specially with a confortable position at 3rd place.
Allegri said it as well, while Inzaghi repeatedly sad that Juve is the main Scudetto contender. It’s nothing more than mind games while in private everybody dreamed about it.
Calabria was decent going forward. But he was an absolute flop and defense. You give Adli good he was awful. It’s clear we see the game differently. I could disagree on pulisic i won’t it was meh performance. Either milan got the win.

How does a on loan Brescianini who is not a left back completely shut down Pulsic? To me he looks like he’s falling back down to his Chelsea level. His stats make his performances much better than he really is. I’d like to see Chucky get more chances when he returns from AFCON. Pulisic is not taking pressure off the left side of the pitch. For gods sake take some players on. And i’d like to see CDK get another chance preseason. He was fantastic against Lazio today.
