Pulisic was untethered and full of confidence. He played with heart, belief, emotion and instinct. I love that he demanded the ball on the assist. Love how he scores an absolute golazo and then immediately wants to get back at it, not looking for congratulations. If Leao's trademark look is a smile, Pulisic's is a scowl. When he plays with anger and emotion like that, it's on!

No , guys, we just dont have a good coach and the bench lacks a lot. In the end, we did not rest the squad for our EL match, we wasted resources and we threw away valuable points. I feel for the players who did leave it all in the field like Pulisic, Florenzi , Gabbia even Theo. I think Pioli needs to make better choicea, if Malik is not up to it, he no longer should be a starter and probably sell him next and look for a world class defender.

  • @mattorlando415

At this point we all should just band together and see the season out. Once we get a new coach they can make roster decisions and we'll go from there but we can't fire pioli at this point so we will be frustrated like this here and again until the summer. We can just hope that our best players continue to grow and we try to win Europa. Pulisic had to go closer to goal bc of the context and he dictated play and was often a few steps ahead of his own teammates. He often makes those runs but this time he yelled and demanded the ball. He took that game over, he will be crucial next season.

  • @hevanli13

You are absolutely correct on everything. Admittedly Pulisic is my favorite player, being American myself. However I have been a Milan fan since 2002 and all I want is to stop having a heart attack every game we play. I hope Chuk gets better, I understand he was playing while gone, but he didn’t play any better or worse than usual. He has not changed since the season started. Giroud and Pulisic play with passion some other players play for their own glory.

  • @sharpcheddah9385

If Rafa is injured he needs to rest and get better, they can move Pulisic back to the left side and start chukweze on the right or keep Pulisic on the right and have okafor play left side, but to be asking for more from Pulisic while excusing Rafa all season is not fair at all or reasonable. Players go in and out of form but sports are a what have you done for me lately business and if we are not going to rest Leao until he is healthy we are going to have to accept this is his level now because this has been his consistency.... at least for this season.

To put in that kind of effort, just to fall short in the end, has to feel terrible. The defense and certain players let the team down today. This one hurts!

Exactly. People never look at where the player is positioned and with a winger what side of the field is the team attacking. Milan, with Leao is predominately a left handed team. Pulisic has defensive duties and often sits between midline and the 20 yard line. Also, while he didn't get a good job shoutout - Musah. Wow. Imagine this young player in a year. He's only going to get better. I read all this stuff about American owners sticking the team with two American players- iigets

All spot on. To be fair that would have been pulsiics 5th game winner or results getter and Leao still hasn’t scored a league goal since September. But this isn’t about Leao lol he played well last game. Pulisic has done that shot and hit the crossbar 3 times this season. Mind you this is with his weak foot. And it’s more than the shot. It’s how much harder, more than you could fathom to have the sheer confidence leap has to take on defender week after week then attempt a curled shot perfectly from for top bins. Now do that with your non dominant foot every week or the media or fans will say ya what, your need to score goalazos each week or we’re gonna ask why aren’t you playing more like Leao. Plot twist, 25 year old American who was a Chelsea “flop” has more than double the ballon dors goals in league and the same
    GA over all
    Comps in just 45
More minutes played. Repeat it will me. “From his weak
    Foot
Side” so I realize you green boxed him. But don’t make it a backhanded green box. He have a GA for 5
Games. The message should be what would would this seasons standing look like without Christian. Milan’s in 8th or 9th

Finally an actual level headed fan who can see that this result was not Pioli's fault. Honestly I am so sick and tired of Milan fans shouting Pioli out and blaming him for EVERYTHING. They claim he should have stuck with the regular 11 but would be the same people to accuse him of not rotating enough. They are the same morons saying it's Pioli's fault that Thiaw made a clumsy challenge in the box. The same morons claiming it was Pioli's fault for Jovic getting himself sent off. The same morons who suddenly become master tacticians with the benefit of hindsight after a poor result but would disappear when Milan win games or go on an unbeaten run. The same morons who claim we can't win trophies with Pioli when we literally won the scudetto just 2 seasons ago.
Pioli is NOT a world class manager and he never will be but he certainly does not deserve the criticism and outright disrespect he has been getting from so many fans. Before Pioli came we were at rock bottom and competing in the champions league or even winning the scudetto were just dreams and not reality. Yes he makes mistakes but what manager doesn't. Give the man some respect.

    • @Lucian_Radu
      @Lucian_Radu Před 3 měsíci +3

Pioli is not a bad manager and the criticism is surely over the top but he ain't a world class one either.
We have simic on the bench and he proved to be ready to be part of the starting 11.
Malick was just coming back from a long injury, he obviously hasn't got that "pitch feeling" yet, he needs time to readapt.
He should have played the last 15 to 25 minutes.
Chuku just came back from the African Cup.
The massive turnover was also useless, why?? Yes, we play mid week, but with a "bad" team and starting with a 3-0 lead. Why were Giroud, Leao, Pulisic AND Reijnders on the bench?? 4 KEY players.
We were playing better than Monza in a 10v11 situation as soon as these players were on the pitch. They should have started, secured the advantage (possibily in the first half) and THEN be substituted to rest.
And what now? These players are now tired anyways, due to the 10v11 situation, and we also lost points. Against Monza. Inter won 5-1 over them. Plus they scored more goals against us, than in the last 4/5 matches (if I'm not mistaken).
I'm not a manager, Pioli surely knows better, but this is not the first time we lost points due to his incompetence regarding the turnover ://
Thus said, the chances of winning the scudetto were slim anyways, so let's hope for a long run in the Europa League, we might have a chance there.

It soon became clear pioli was gonna be forced to put the big boys back in there to try to rescue the situation. Milan can barely put one very good team together to play 90 minutes while Inter can comfortably field two strong squads. We’re similar to smaller clubs like Lazio which lack depth.

1)milan has looked shakey without Tomori, and the lack of depth in defense(cb,rb,lb) included starts to show. Our second-string squad just isnt good enough.
    2) milan need to find a CF to replace giroud for when he retires ... Moncada should have pushed in the winter mercato.. so hopefully in the summer transfers we see more depth
3)as much as i don't want to blame Pioli for the match, making 6 outfield changes suddenly together has historically never worked. Yes I agree his hands are pretty much tied atm..So I blame upper management for that.
    4) luka Jovic is a good sub but not starting material and his unprofessionalism costed us cause the people who came on I saw drive and desire to go get the goals back.
    5) I dont see the value milan paid for chukweze tbh. Pulisic is a naturally a left winger but playing right for us and is still outperforming a person who is meant to be on the right not only that he came to us for a fraction of that cost.

Adli had been playing decently lately but in this match he was definitely horrible.
I think you went too soft on Chukweze, besides that play that your mentioned he did nothing and lost the ball multiple times. And to add to this, the criticsim towards him I would say is not entirely based on this match, it's an accumulation of the entire season where he's been really disappointing.
Okafor was equally horrible yesterday, he and Jovic might be fine as substitutes but as starters definitely not.
On the matter of Jovic, yeah he is a decent poacher, but you can see from miles away that when he is on the ball he has no skill, Giroud is ten times better.
At the end of the day we want to see all these mentioned players do well of course, but we are AC Milan why do we even have these low quality players on the squad to begin with??

It's totally Pioli's fault, let's not lie to ourselves, if he's incapable of coaching some decent tacticts to his players that they can rely on, other than "ball to Leao, insane speed to the box and hope for the best or for Giroud to salvage a goal somehow". Outside of these key players (Leao, Theo, Giroud etc) that will win you duels with their mismatch in speed or strenght, there's frankly not that much in terms of tacticts to this Milan, their pressing is aggressive but disorganized, same with their defense, its really fast so they can be aggressive and get back quickly, but they get there and look disjointed in positioning and confused at times. It's no surprise that when a team can neutralize or negate spaces to 2 or 3 of these players they straight up have no clue on what to do. Plus Pioli it's years that he's doing a poor job integrating new players (just look at DeKetelare, with some actual work and vision he's doing great now) just hammering down on his over reliance to these key players. This Milan feels that it performs at 40% of what could really do, you just need a proper coach with some vision, ideas; I mean, thanks Pioli for guiding this squad from the lows to the highs they are now, but please, get the fuck out thanks, its time for someone new (possibly talented with some ideas)

It was clear that when Musah came in Pioli switched to a 3-man back (you can see Musah giving instructions to Gabbia and Thiaw when he entered the game). They were chasing the game and needed more bodies forward. At that point it was 2-1. It was the right call.

Thanks for the video! Game was very hard to watch today. I have a few questions for you/opinions.
    1. I feel like Musah maybe deserved a chance to start today over Adli. Lately he has brought a lot of spark off the bench in the little time he has gotten. What do you think?
    2. Gabbia has been excellent so far for us. Do you think when Tomori gets back he can be a legitimate long term starting center back partner? If he continues to play the way he has and continue the rest of the season I think he has earned a role over Thaiw at least. Honestly I have never been impressed with Thiaw.
    3. Completely agree with your take on Oli and Jovic. Oli starter, Jovic off the bench. It seems like Okafor hasn’t gotten much time at the striker spot lately and has been more of a Leao replacement. Would you want to see him play the striker more and maybe open up more in behind runs than Oli can offer?
    4. One thing I do blame Pioli for this match is subbing on Leao. If Leao isn’t fit, why put him on? Especially when Okafor was actually looking okay on the wing? Seems like a poor decision. To me either Pioli shouldn’t have put Leao on or Leao had a poor performance. Also, I am curious how much input you have as a player to say I’m not fit to go in, but maybe that should’ve been what Leao did today. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Interested in your thoughts!

#PioliOut. Just as some people start thinking he should stay, he proves once again what a mediocre coach he's always been. Rotates like crazy against a Monza who were out for our scalp. I continue to maintain that we can't make a step forward until we get rid of this guy. In fact, we keep risking a top 4 finish every year now. We are lucky that the Roman teams have been terrible. But Roma is coming and so is Atalanta.

When the club not hired quality players Proven players, we will be at this level for a long time. The owner doesn't know we are a title club and any season without a cup is a complete failure. Sorry but we are not a club to develop talent and wait for years. This is why you pay young inexperienced players with no experience and apparently not high potential.Allegedly, we strengthened the team, but what it turned out, of all, only Pulisic, Reynards and Loftus are fit for now. This season did not show progress in game and style. No change in anything positive. Another season without a trophy shame shame but no one cares.Maldini's sacking proves all this and where we are going. Having a proven name and a professional and having him fired because you don't invest in anything is clear that we will be a mediocre team.

Becouse between injuries (he got a lot of injuries everywhere he have been and he bring with him his friends of the atheltic staff so are 100% them) bad torunover, no defensive plans, no attacking plans, no game overall, undervalue smaller team which then cause the bad tournover then what pioli have good? Yes he did let grow young players but now we need more and with the new young he not doing it this well as with theo leao ecc, if we do all bad even if we win is not a thing to put in favor of pioli

The back line, mainly the CBs is really horrendous! Tomori being clearly levels above his counterparts. Thiaw has made horrid decisions time & time again on the pitch to the point I’m surprised he’s a professional player.
This is where the scouting department needs to earn their money. Making smart signings to some young players & a few veterans to improve the depth of this team is major. Because as the team is built now it’s just not good enough to compete for any trophies.
Milan is a huge club with a lot of history it definitely should play & act like it. You can’t have too many underachieving players on the team it’s a bad look. Pioli is a decent manager but idk if he can lead Milan back to the very TOP of Italian & European football.

It isn't pioli's job to instill discipline on his players? I will exempt pioli from the stupid jovic red card, but thats it. This is not the first time Malick Thiaw makes a stupid tackle or mistake, the juve game comes to mind, but there are many more examples of lack of discipline from not only thiaw, but the team as a whole. The last quality Head coach that milan employed was Ancelotti about 15 years ago. It seems to me that Milan ownership, management and the fans have been undervaluing the importance of a good head coach. You can always pull the card, that it wasn't pioli's fault, I get it, he doesn't play on the field and he didn't tell thiaw to make that stupid mistake, But with all due respect kush, you are analyzing the Head Coaching job all wrong. A head coach, like any leader within an organization, has the responsibility to make everybody else better. Starting next season, I will be alot more demanding on ownership and management. They need to replace pioli with a top quality manager, if they don't, expect inter to pull away from us in the scudetto title count. This is serious, Pioli has to go. Being fair to him, he brought stability to the club and overachieved winning the scudetto. However, he just doesn't have the leadership and coaching skills we need, to reach the next level. Thank you pioli, but, Goodbye.

I am sick and tired of this shit performance against teams that milan is supposed to win. I dont blame pioli, i blame the management and this shit Cardinale who thinks he knows about football. Cardinale thinks attacks win games while defense go to hell. I blame Cardinale for the mess this club is in and for keeping Pioli. I told u kush this guy is bad news when he fired Maldini. Mallik Thiaw needs to be sent to Milan Academy to learn how to defend, i am sick of this guy's shit defending and reckless tackling. Thiaw needs to realize he is playing for the AC Milan not some ordinary club, pioli needs to give him a ultimatum that if he keeps on doing such schoolboy defending then consider getting kicked out of Milan. WTF was wrong with Jovic? He lost the game for Milan in my opinion, does he have any sense that his team is losing and there is a chance they would make a comeback? This guy thought about himself only not for the good of the team. He needs to be punished and his teammates should knock some sense into him. Kush u know recently Inter signed Taremi, questions needs to be asked of the management of why didnt they sell giroud? Dont get me wrong Giroud is good but not that good given his age. This is all because of this Cardinale.
