It usually doesn’t happen by the Milan fans, so not sure why it’s hard. Milan does a pretty good job of making appropriate statements as well, and the players are always united on it.

Udinese also needs to be penalized by limiting fans for several matches. Of course it’s not the team’s fault, but the management of the stadium is on the organization of the club.

I have no issue with your player assessments, but all I noticed while watching the match was how disorganized the team looks. Our spacing and coordination were abysmal. How many times did our own players run into each other? Glad we snatched the win, but man was that frustrating. We're just not clicking at a high level.
I completely forgot to mention how abysmal we are with the off the ball movement, static and just standing around!
I agree, I guess we all do! What I wonder is, is it the players, or the coach? Because the first few matches of the season you could see much more movement off the ball, compared to now @@footballkush
I thought we were just playing narrowly. When you play narrow it’s bound to happen a bit. Normally we try to stretch Udinese and work the wings and try and hit Giroud with lots of crosses. This game we did just the opposite. Seemed like it was planned this way. Lots of close quick passes up the middle. I noticed we were able to win the second ball a lot because we had so many players stacked in the middle and right behind the ball. If they ironed out the details it could be very dangerous. Reminds me a bit of the Girona tactic.

I was watching some old arsenal highlights and I always forget how great Giroud has been with the flicks. He's so unique.
I think it's our coach tactics for our players to hold on to the ball for too long. It's a shit tactic especially if you look at how Inter plays. We have poor tactics
We shouldnt be jealous of Inter, they simply have a different play style. The tactics werent bad but off the ball movements and positioning were bad, something I dont know who to blame for
Completely agree about loftus, he have to improve in making the right choice in some situations and reijnders look like he need some rest yesterday was totally disconnected from the team, also when reijnders is in good shape you see it becouse he run in attack but yesterday even if there was adli covering he never involved himself this much and look like was just trying to keep the energys, at okafor goal i enjoyed for Mike and i hope Udinese will end in serie B along side with Verona

Agree with all the ratings. I thought I was the only that noticed RLC, he was awful today, besides the goal. He tries to fake too much, he needs to get possession of the ball first, thats why he gets caught off balance. One thing I have mentioned before is the right side with Pulisic and Calabria are the safe, defensive minded side, the left side with Theo and Leao is the offensive risk taking side. I don’t think the right side has the stamina and speed that the left side does which is why the substitutions happen. We have some ballers on this team, which makes it so much more frustrating to lose. We should be running over everyone with the exception of Inter, but theres time. Last point, I wanted to wait for Maignan to renew so I could order his jersey, but after what happened I ordered it during the game. Im sorry for anyone that goes through, we can not let the few ruin it for everyone, l stand with all of you against racism, love you guys.

GK Director opinion: An ignorant take on the second goal. As a keeper, you are trained to predict low/mid range shots that close. If they’re able to shoot high, you hope that your chest/shoulder/face can get in the way. Mike covered what he was supposed to. Hence the other close range kick save he had.
Thauvin did well to aim high that close. The blame needs to be put on our pivot 6’s and Theo there.
I'm not surprised how good Gabbia has been. He's always shown that he has the potential to be an integral part of the team. Either Pioli or his own fitness has been getting in the way for him to get more minutes
I personally think that Gabbia was always good at doing interceptions and a decent forward thinking passer. But he is always slower and weaker than the kind of forwards that are seen today, he is also very weak when it comes to defending crosses or when it comes to attacking sequences and he is at the end of a good cross and doesn't seem to put them on target.
These issues still remain and I think at Villareal this was noticeable. He is an above average defender but the kind of games he will be suitable for are few and he can be caught off guard in these games as well. But overall the club needs better CB's - Gabbia will show why he isn't a good defender for the top teams in Europe. I think he is worth a lot to other teams who are in top 4 and top 6 teams. But not for a team who wants to keep the top spot in the top 4 leagues in Europe.
@@TheFergo911I think that’s a good analysis. I’m hoping he’s a sort of late bloomer. I think if he bulked up a bit he could be that big man in the box. He’s very smart it seems. Just not quite big enough. He is braver though than years previous as we saw against Lukaku and during this game. Despite Lukaku being stronger, Gabbia didn’t give up at all and made his life pretty miserable. Lukaku didn’t get to do a lot because Gabbia was all over him. And only produced one foul if I remember. Could just be a good string of performances. Or we are seeing a more mature player. I’m hoping for the latter.
@@kylerodd2342 well bulking up to the standards at Bayern Munich is what I would like to see but AC Milan doesn't possess that sort of training standards for their players. He needs to play smart and he would do this when he played last year. I chalked that up to his understanding that he isn't as quick as other attacks and as such cannot give much away in terms of distance between him and the ball. But this is my understanding of how a player who is slower would deal with their lack of pace and this is applicable to Gabbia.
He needs training on how to control the box when the ball is in the air. That is an achievable target, for him to bulk up to the level I am thinking of - it wouldn't be possible without a serious understanding of his physical condition and if he will be able to still carry that kind of muscle while running at full speed and not get injured or be even slower than he is right now. he isn't a snail, but in comparison to the strikers out there today. It might be better for him to not get too large. But this is all conjesture. He knows if it is a good thing for him to do or not.
This team needs above-average defenders for the remainder of this season. The club can still win a second-rate European title with Gabbia in the back. That is possible.

I agree with everything you said today. But I'll add something that I think has been less obvious, nevertheless true for many games. The midfield is just too slow on the ball in terms of getting it to our front line. Often times the problem is identified as Leao's, however he is a player who needs space. When the midfielders do not get the ball out quickly to him it takes away his main asset. They need to play more one touch ball and move it quickly. By the time both midfielders get the ball forward the defense is set. Leao is cut off from the sideline and Pulisic is cut off from moving the ball to the center of the field. The midfielders always seem indecisive as to their next pass. I'm amazed at how often they turn away from an open player. Faster play would benefit both wingers and stretch the defense.
I mean, we did just play against Roma and Udinese, the two teams that park the bus the hardest of all teams in Italy. Lol. But yeah, there were multiple times today I wanted the ball wiped out to Leao but it didn’t come. I think Adli would be effective in the left midfield in order to link up Theo and Leao. He’s always looking to exploit space with a pass and could be very useful for Leao. Reijnders doesn’t always look for the pass. He likes to progress the ball with his feet and sometimes doesn’t see the spaces
RLC doesn't see the field well. But you move the ball quickly or have players making runs to make space or move the defense. At the end of the game it was Mike catching the ball and rolling it forward to Theo. The midfielders seem very hestitant to me in getting the ball from Mike, turning and making a pass. When Tomori was there, he would drive the ball forward and continue runs. It's interesting that Milan will push their defensive mids forward when the defense is set making them at risk for a counterattack. Lucky Udinese sucks as how many times were players open in the middle of the field at the 18 yard line because the midfielders were lost?

Thanks Kush! Awesome again! Great break down. At first I was skeptical of your ratings, but after you gave your arguments, I was like, hmm... I saw that... I see that. Yeah, probably fair. Honestly, I am one of the Pulisic die hards, but last two matches have been disappointing for me. Puli needs to get back to his December quality. He has stopped taking chances.
I think Leao deserved a better rating he had a lot of good passes not only for the goals but some that should have gone in. The one he gave Giroud that left him 1 v 1 vs the goalie and he block his shot.
Was fine with Pulisic coming off, they needed more physicality up top there at the end.
It was an amazing game. The way we came back was the best thing that could have happened after the cowardly racist chants on Mike. This game suddenly became more important than any other. I hope Udinese gets seriously punished for their fans' behavior.

Pretty good analysis, I feel Milan has been playing more as a team in the last couple games. I did feel that RLC had a pretty decent game but you have to ask why Pioli sees him in a more advanced role. He doesn't really have the creativity to be playing that role so this may be a Pioli issue.

It is not the best comparison but this season Gabbia has outperformed Thiaw. I think we also played really well before the incident, without that external factor I think it would have been much smoother since one could tell it weighed on the players. The more important that we made a comeback.

Our Tactics:
Pioli seems like a coach who likes to take his time, and attack. This is why it appears like Leao isnt performing well. If you put Leao in an attacking minded team, he will rake in goals week in, week out.
I also think the reason Adli didnt perform so well was due to the phyiscality of the udinese side.
Pulisic was playing as a converted winger, drifting into midfield, while calabria due to his low attacking mindset stays back, thats why that wing appears dead.
Loftu playing as 10 is an attempt to break the play and phyisicality of the udinese side.
Jobic kinda reminds me of inzhagi. Right place right time boom goal

Thanks for the video! Always enjoy these! I agree with most of your analysis, but disagree with Leao and Pulisic. I’d give them both a Meh today. Outside of those few crosses/passes Leao did today I thought he was very poor. I felt like 80% of the time he got the ball he gave it away. But he did make those crucial passes. As for Pulisic, he made some chances that could’ve resulted in a goal, but didn’t really make much of a difference. That’s a meh for me (and I’m a big Puli fan). I’d also give RLC a good. I think he did some good things today and some negative plays but overall was a good performance. If you give Okafor a key for literally just scoring a goal you have to give Ruben at least a good. But that’s just my opinion! Again, love your videos man! Thanks a lot!
I get your take! We might just disagree on Leao and Puli but I'll clarify Okafor and Ruben, Okafor had one role, that of a super sub and he fulfilled that 100% RLC on the other hand played all 90 mins and felt at times like a genuine liability with possession, to me felt ineffective most match outside of the tap in so I went with Meh.
Being a brown Milan fan, seeing all this racism shit makes me sick.

Jimenez would be the opposite issue. Although Pulisic would get a lot more attacking support, defensively we would leak a lot more goals down that right... Don't get me wrong, Jimenez has tons of potential and I think has a higher ceiling than Calabria but he's still very inexperienced and has been caught out defensively before.

The team has all this potential and Pioli hasn't brought this team to that next level. Players aren't evolving under his tatctics and management. Need to move on and get a better tactician.

As for Maignan i think his reaction was childish and unprofessional. He gave the Udinese fans exaclty what they wanted! If players do not react to stupid insults from fans, weather racist or not, the fans will stop. All Mike did was empower the exact fans that insulted him. His biggest problem that he has to work on is his decision making when he needs to do the final pass it happens 2 or 3 times yesterday where he would counter and get in a great position but failed to make the decisive pass to end to play he has to work on that he could’ve have assisted a goal or 2 in that game but he passed to the wrong person or passed too late but even with that he was very solid today

One thing rafa should learn from okafor is to finish. Okafor has 4 serie a goals despite being injured most of the season...our super star on the other hand...just 3 goals. His output is very poor this season. Glad Noah is back. Hope he can stay fit though
