    As someone who hasn't really watched Milan and started watching more closely when Pulisic joined, I thank you for educating me and the rest of the fanbase that are similar to me without having a snobby attitude that many may considered "typical" of European football fans. I am especially appreciative that you are welcoming of fans like me instead of turning us away because we followed a specific player or are new to the Milan fan culture. Speaking from a personal perspective, your analysis on Leao makes a lot of sense and it has definitely changed my perspective on his dynamic and role at Milan. I believe that when Leao and Pulisic find the right chemistry, Milan will be one of the top teams in Europe. Cheers!

    Pulisic was fortunate to get an assist on that third goal, but take nothing away from that pass. He drew three defenders who were surely experiencing PTSD from his earlier run, and he threaded an off-balance switch to Leao who had so much green grass to work with that I could've sworn I heard Julie Andrews singing.

    Pulisic was never trusted at Chelsea and was in a constant state of "prove himself". Before that, he was a teenager breaking through with Dortmund. It's not surprising that he is out there going full speed in the 2nd half when his career has never had a moment that afforded him the opportunity to relax.
    I think the keeper did well to get out early on the 1v1 and made a nice save. Puli was off balance and did well to get there, I think the nutmeg was the only option, but he went for the chip. Leao's chance when Musah sent him through was easier, but fair play to the keeper for making a save he seemed to know little about. The whole attack is playing with confidence and hitting their stride all at the same time for the first all season, and it's a joy to watch.

    Remember it wasn't long ago the mark was 20 goal contributions for a good Pulisic season. Now we see 25 even 30 on the horizon.

    I think it's fair to acknowledge that early in the season when Leao wasn't "warmed up yet", there were times where he could have made similar passes to Pulisic, but he didn't. That being said I don't think those early moments were indicative of him as a player, it's obvious he's a creator just as much as he's a goal scorer. Many players go through kind of a selfish phase when they're trying to get out of a slump, Pulisic did it himself roughly 2 months ago. What matters is they're playing well now, and perfectly positioned to make a run at the Europe league.

    Thanks for the video Kush! Love that the team played great! My only takes on the game/video are
    1. Giroud was nonexistent it seemed.
    2. Leao missed just as open of a chance as Pulisic.
    3. I hear you bring up the “Leao shouldn’t defend” argument a lot. I agree and disagree with this statement. He should be involved in pressing the ball and in that way he has defensive duties, however if Milan is sitting back in a defensive state I don’t think Leao should defend as much to be ready for counter-attack. Overall, Leao leaves a little to be desired in his pressing/work rate, but do agree he should have less defensive duties than anyone else. One other thing on that though, since Leao doesn’t defend as much I think whoever our striker is will have defend a little more. Just food for thought!
    4. Musah played well! 🙂

    Pulisic has always been a truly two-footed player, although playing on the right side of the attack has probably strengthened this quality even further.
    I also think Milan need to buy a true #6/destroyer in the midfield. This type of player would help to screen the defense while also allowing the other midfielders to push higher up the pitch, something they all seem more suited for anyway.

    Spot on kush. But to imply pulisic is robin to leaos Batman is completely undervaluing pulsiics end product and attributes he brings Milan. Salemakerz and messias were robin, pulisic is his own super hero( captain America) he is level with Leao on contributions and despite what people think he isn’t trying to follow in Leaos shadow or emulate him. His whole approach to play is different and that’s what makes them so good for each other when leao especially recognizes that. And I say that bc this game he was unselfish for pulisic but that makes one for the last 47 he decided to go it himself or
    Choose
    To ignore him. It’s a game by game thing but the more we start embracing the fact that Christian pulisic and Leao can both be world class/ world elite wingers but in different ways, the more we will appreciate that this side actually has the chance to

    If you want an example of why some American new Milan fans have been prickly about our boy, allow me to give you an example -
    About midway through last summer's transfer window, Craig Burley was asked live on ESPN fc why he thought no one significant had yet signed Pulisic. He responded - "Well, the top teams in football aren't particularly interested in Chelsea's scraps".
    For me that was the culmination of 3 years of disrespect. And now that he's doing so well they simply ignore him.
    And for many of us it's taken over half a year at his new club for us to... finally... chill out 🤣 For him to partner with players of the caliber of Leao, and Theo and Girouuuuuud! is fanfreakintastic! He's home 😁

    Let's take into account that Pulisic plays on the right side and it is his weak side . which forces him to shoot with his left foot but that doesn't matter because he is able to use both legs . what makes it world class . His preferred side is the left because his shot would be much more effective. There are many players who cannot move like him because they do not have left feet. those that only play on one side because if you move them to the left they are not effective. We are also going to take into account that we are playing against Slavia Praha, but when we face teams like Liverpool Milan are going to need more of that intelligence and speed to find the teammate that is in a better position to score the gol . that makes the difference between a good player and a great player . This is how you know this guy is so full of shi with his "analysis" of the game. Pulisic didnt score a chance while he was stumbling over, and he comments how he should have scored. But when talking about rafa, he doesnt mention shi about his 1v1 wide open chance with the keeper. He acts like pulisic fans are full of it and fanboy over pulisic.
    Maybe its because you are so obvious with your bias towards pulisic and leao. You will comment every mistake pulisic makes down to the minute, but never say anything about leao mistakes. You go real quiet when leao is bad but point out every time pulisic makes a mistake. I remember in one video you said pulisic is getting "hockey assists" but that wasnt good enough and he needed to do better. a couple weeks later during leao slump, leao had hockey assists in a match and you talked about how great he was and he created chances for his teammates even though he wasnt getting goals or assists. You literally cant blow any harder on leao. Maybe thats why "new fans" comment about pulisic in the way they do. Because of how blatantly obvious you are.
    You have a good setup. It looks professional. And you have good comments when it comes to other players. But your love for leao and your obvious leao vs. pulisic is CRINGE AF. Maybe it's YOU that makes it leao vs. pulisic with the way YOU give a double standard analysis of the two. I'm just saying. But any other player reviews are pretty good.

      My friend, don't be so insecure about Christian, we like him. His 'mistake' was pointed out not to show it as a 'mistake' but to highlight the immense effort he put in to get himself into a scoring position, in spite of all the tackles put in his way. And the first thing that was said about Leao's goal was how he is not clinical enough and he needs to be more clinical, like today.
      I understand you guys have some PTSD from his Chelsea days, but we are rooting for him to do well because he wears the red and black. 🫶🏼

    • @user-pi4ih8rl2x
      @user-pi4ih8rl2x Před 2 měsíci +1

      @footballkush I am definitely not insecure about pulisic. I am the most based dude you will meet when it comes to things. When pulisic was at chelsea, I said, "Maybe he isn't playing because he is not good at pressing and his defense is not good either. Tuchel likes hustle merchant's. Pulisic isn't that. He was all about the offensive side of the ball like leao. Even his father came out and said pulisic needs to understand there is pressing and PRESSING. the Milan move was brilliant for pulisic. Not because of the stats and all that but because he has added another skill (defense and hustle) that I didn't think he had at chelsea.
      Look at the Gio Reyna situation right now in the USA. Some fans are saying it is justified that he has been called into the usmnt camp. Despite limiting time at bvb, reported issues with teammates at bvb. Then he goes to forest and has played 39 minutes since he got there. They say he has a knock but then isn't in the team roster or injury list. That makes me think maybe the issue is Gio attitude, cause we all know the talent is there. If it weren't for what happened at the WC between gio and GGG, Gio wouldn't be in this camp, and shouldn't be.
      I have no problem criticizing American players because I want them to do better and I want my opinion to be valid. Be it praise or scrutiny. People can look at my opion and see there is no bias so it should be taken wholeheartedly.
      The point is that when you talk about leao and pulisic, it is actually you who is pitting them against eachother in the eyes of the fans. Because your sentiment towards one is always favorable and comes with a "good game buuuut....." with the other. If I saw you giving fair criticism of both, equally without prejudice. I would absolutely say "yup" "facts" but the fact you don't is what makes fans say "why is he always criticizing pulisic and always making excuses for leao? it feels like he is attacking one and not the other." That will only create resentment. That's why "new fans" give you stick about Puli.
      I have nothing but good intentions for people. I want people to succeed. I want your channel to hit 500k subs and be the go to for milan content. (It really is a top quality channel) I don't say these things to get on you or offend you.
      If I knew you and we were friends, I would go over these scripts with you and say "that's good." " That's a fair point." "You are criticizing puli for missing but didn't criticize leao. Maybe leave that out of the video." "Notice how leao and pulisic are actually starting to look for each other. Look at how they weren't earlier in the season. Let's discuss that. Is it faith, familiarity, friendship? Either way it's leading to better on field results for both." "Was leao being "selfish" because of his pressure to produce goals, or was it a character flaw in his game? Now that he is scoring he seems to be more willing to be unselfish around the box. He is more willing to look for others rather than go 1v1, 1v2, 1v3 at everyone just to score. So it had to be the pressure and not a character flaw. But you had to see the difference right? It wasn't about the chances he has created but about the clear chances he has missed to create for himself. That's how I see it, how do you?"
      Just honest conversations. I am extremely analytical. I want the best possible football. I always question "why aren't they playing well. What are they missing. What is their body language. What do they lack collectively and individually to play their best football." That's how my mind works. It's not made for bias. It won't let me be.
      All I'm saying is maybe take a step back and think about your comments a little more in depth. Think about it. Why do fans think I unfairly criticize some over others? Do I actually have a bias if so many comment that I do? Are they just wrong or am I not seeing it? How much do I like leao? How excited am I to talk about the things he does right because I want him to succeed, but does that keep me from seeing the things he has been doing wrong? I can give fair criticism when pulisic misses a shot. I think it's vali without bias, but have I failed to do the same for leao?
      In this day in age where the media constantly lies and gives us force fed gaslighting, people want fair and unbiased opinion. They crave it which is why legacy media is failing and people are jumping to creators like yourself. You have to put personal feelings aside and try to moderate those emotions. It's hard but necessary to succeed and grow. Good luck man. Really rooting for your brand to keep blowing up.

    Let's give pulisic his flowers, the product may not be there every match but the effort is always 100%. The one day Leao shows up after the season kicked off ages ago he is having a Golden box. Gabbia is a better defender right now compared to Malik and he should be starting, he has earned that spot.
    We cannot be waiting for Leao to show up when he likes and No, we need him to track back to help this team defend as a unit he isn't Messi or Ronaldo and this team is no where near a defensive compact team that can permit one player to be strolling during games.

    I agree... Yacine Adli was more fearless to be creative in his early games this season. As time progresses, he is now becoming similar to Krunic. It is such irony that the main reason why we supported Adli in the first place is to have a regista that is not like Krunic.
    Maybe, just maybe... the more frequent he played the more he wanted to satisfy Pioli (who loves Krunic's style of play so much). He has to be more fearless.... C'mon, Adli!

Working more within the team structure which has opened up space for him. I don't expect him to play a lot of defense except against good teams that control the ball more.

    • @footballkush
      @footballkush  Před 2 měsíci

      It's honestly tough to say until we see for how much they will invest and what percentage they'll take. At €560m for a 40% stake keeps Milan's value to about where RedBird bought it at, so I am not sure what good it does RedBird outside of the not being liable for the debt but then they also lose almost half the club's ownership. Not sure tbh! I think it's all pretty unclear still, all I know is there is no complete takeover with a return of Maldini happening, that's just the media selling dreams to the fans.

    Rafa is not to blame. In games where he does not perform at his best, it is because of the closures of the opponent's defense. Pioli should be able to change forms and schemes to create new spaces for him, but it doesn't happen. We get too many goals because our defense attacks the man too high, CBs run too much get tired and get injured constantly.

    I think that take on Yacine is perfectly reasonable. Let's take the case of Phil Foden, this kid is an amazing talent but is he a starter ? No. Yacine has progressed but he needs more time and the club needs to recruit an experienced player he can learn from (someone like Jorginho).
    Question for you: Fik got snubbed for the latest England call up, at this point he's probably not going to be in the euro squad. Do you think he's going to leave for England this summer because of that?

    • @footballkush
      @footballkush  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes, sort of how Leao credits so much of his growth to Ibrahimovic, Yacine too needs a similar profile to learn from.
      I think Tomori's exclusion might have to do with the fact that he was recently injured, I am hoping with a good run of form and fitness till the end of the season he ends up getting that call up and we don't have to think about it. But yes, his agent did come out with a little strange comment recently too about how he'll want to move one day, so who knows. €45m minimum to a prem club and Milan will consider imo.

    I would venture to say the Pulisic has a better left foot than Leao and a better right foot too. It’s like he was shooting a basketball into a hoop rather than kicking it.
