Savage also sells a bolt lift barring kit. Makes the bolt lift a lot more smooth. I installed one on my buddies savage 308 that was having troubles with bolt stick. Hasn’t had a problem since.

I've been reloading for about 2 years or so and I've been told that more money better your results and quality, for me it's about the joy of creating your own load for your gun will love and being accurate to take game with a load that you created for your gun videos keep them coming 👍

I love my 6.5 PRC!! Shoots teeny tiny bug holes! Browning X-bolt Hells Canyon Long Range, 153gr Hornady A-tips, 156 Berger Elite Hunters. Both shoot same hole, very similar trajectories out to 1768 yards. Most accurate factory gun I’ve ever bought. Nice shooting!

Awesome groups with that Savage! People hate on them but mine are easy to load for and always consistent. My Bergara 6.5 PRC likes IMR 4831 with the 140,143 and 147 gr bullets, cci 250 primers and hornady brass. Usually single digit S.Ds,speeds around 2950-3000 fps and sub moa accuracy to 1k yds. I'd love to see a video on the 156 gr Berger EOL and retumbo. Thanks Johnny for all the knowledge! You are one of the best sources for all things reloading.

I gave Retumbo a go for the first time a couple years ago in my 7mm Rem Mag and am extremely impressed and happy with performance using 160-162 bullets.
I decided that it was just a repackaged or upgraded H1000 for all these years and just didn't try. But when my other favorite powders were no where to be found I picked up some Retumbo. I am glad I did. Great groups my friend. Thank you so much.

Great video! Also great to see how you have advanced over the years! I sort my hornady's by ogive length, which helps with some lot#. With some of the bullets, an OAL that is barely touching the lands helps shrink the groups down to a single bullet hole, but it is trial and error with every barrel.
I avoid Nosler brass due to how soft it is.
All of my 6.5s love the Hornady 140g bthp, and it is a good hog killing bullet!
Come hell or high water, I find out what is a max load for that particular barrel, so I know where NOT to go.

Nice video. Not sure that Nosler brass is worth the price. I bought some and they are inconsistent in length and come short new out of the box, below trim length... Not saying they are not prepped but they come in a bag packaged cheaply. I just got some Peterson Brass that did cost me the same price but it's prep and quality far surpassed the Nosler and came packaged in a plastic ammo box with foam rubber protection on the top of the box. I won't be buying anymore Nosler. I do have some Hornady on back order that I will still get so I can compare the 3. I have used Hornady in the past. It is good for its price range but does need a bit more going over for prep. I did like the results from your Rotumbo test loads and accuracy far outweighs 50 fps which is a wash at the speeds those bullets are travelling anyway. Again, nice video.

You shot some beautiful groups using this combo! Nice work! How long is the barrel on this rifle? I ask because with my 6.5CR shooting 147gr Hornadys and H4350 has a 28" barrel, I am burning off my charge too early. I have considered taking a step to a slower burn rate or just taking 2" off of the barrel. I hear very good things about Retumbo and am considering it for this rifle. Thanks!
