    Nice to know.....
Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us."
Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."

OMG! I pretty much have that video memorized, but you just made it a whole new video. Thank you so much! I can hardly wait to experience your "master class" on more of her videos. I Went Too Far, Queendom, The River, Apple Tree. Yes, she is a consummate visual storyteller. But I experience it in a visceral way. It's really awesome to have the "why" explained by someone who knows how these effects are created, by both the artist, the choreographers and the camera experts.

I really like your insightful analyses! Can't wait to hear you react to AURORA live! Her music video for THE SEED is incredible, and her live performance at Nidarosdomen (a cathedral in Norway -- LITTLE BOY IN THE GRASS, THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD, and quite frankly any song from that venue), the 2018 KEXP mini-concert (CHURCHYARD and ALL IS SOFT INSIDE), the 2019 HAIK Concert she performs in a forest, and others! Each of her very distinctly different venues showcase her physical channeling and aural projection of her music

Aurora has many cinematic and symbolic videos. This is a selection of some of them: 1) " Cure for me. " A pop song with clearly choreographed dancing and with a message to stop doing conversion therapy. 2) "Winter bird." Classical/interpretive dance concerning sorrow/depression. 3) " Apple tree." Disturbing imagery with choreographed dance, in an empowering song that sees hope in the activism of the young. 4) "The seed." Interpretive/primal dancing, and the clearest anthem for the environment ever written. 5) "Animal." Aurora goes clubbing, primal needs, city as something basically alien. 6) " The river." The struggle to express your emotions freely. 7) "I went too far." The difficulty of leaving a bad relationship.

There is no one else like this fantastic young lady. Aurora is so mesmerizing. She's a master song writer and performer. And yes, please do react to her live performances. Especially the ones at her Nidarosdomen concert, which is the most beautiful concert ever. I would suggest "Through the eyes of a child" from there. Hope to see more Aurora from you soon. She is fabulous and also a wonderful human being as well. And the lyric is "Row the boat to safer ground" I think you would also appreciate the beauty of her music video for "Winter Bird"

In short. Away from society and back to nature. She is tied to cables and people they hold on to the place where she are not happy. She wants to run with the wolves again.
The song is not just a song. This is Aurora.

Thrilled you found Aurora- she is a treasure!!!! For the most honest, bare-boned, evocative piece please listen to Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) performed at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Her live performances are second to none (Nidarosdomen and Haik concerts). And for a moment that will stay with you forever: Helvegen with Wardruna. LOVE your reactions!!!

I think you'll really love The Seed. The production, the imagery and the dancing. Just o3o Some other great music videos that come to mind with visuals and stuff (honestly most of them are awesome) are Queendom and The Apple Tree. She's been creating music since she was 6 and writes, produces, designs 90% of everything she puts out. She's an incredible lyricist and musician and her concepts for videos always get to me. It all has so much meaning behind it. Basically there's no bad choice for Aurora songs or videos and I recommend all of her discography. Such a talented and ethereal performer.

I can't believe this is only your second Aurora song - and you already get her and her music so well. I can't wait to see you watch more of her. Your insights are incredible!! I want to list a few songs for you to watch next, but they're allllll so good. Apple Tree has a video I'd love you to break down, but then you really REALLY need to watch her live (Niederstromen or Lollapalooza Brazil or one of the acoustic sessions with interviews in between songs...) Watching you experience her for the first time brings me back to my own first time - very visceral. We rarely get the chance to feel things for the first time twice. So grateful this was the experience I got a second time :) Thanks.

She produces or co-produces her videos. Check out her videos of her songs I Went Too Far, Winterbird (filmed at the MIT robotics lab), Queendom, The River, and The Seed. Check out her cover of the song Believer by Imagine Dragons at P3 Christine live. Her song Animal Soul at the Verifest and Bowie's Is There Life On Mars at a venue in the UK (I can't remember the name). Her song It Happened Quiet live at the Current. The list goes on......
    Her live performances are legendary.
And yes, she took dance for 10 years.
She is as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. Her art rips you apart and heals you at the same time. Who does that? Her art is almost too intense to bear, but you can't look away. She's a siren in the form of a wood nymph. Resistance is futile!

Great Reaction! I really enjoy your analysis from a filmmaker's perspective - it adds a lot to the enjoyment of the video, stuff I never would have been aware of otherwise. You have commented on her dancing abilities so I would recommend her Winter Bird video which is not only very interesting visually, but also showcases her beautiful dance movements (I believe that she had seriously considered becoming a professional dancer). It's also my favorite Aurora song :).

I am definately subscribing and I hope you will react a lot more to Aurora. There are so much on YT of her…from live performances, concerts, music videos, documentaries, live streams, interviews….. She is very addictive 😉 I am from Norway, like Aurora btw.
I dont know if anyone told you but she was only 11/12 years old when she wrote «Runaway». She started composing melodies when she was 6 and made lyrics to them when she was 9. She wrote her songs «Lucky» and «I went too far» when she was 9.

You being able to put it into a type of structured framework… for some reason it is so validating to me right now. I knew that I loved her for an objective reason and not just personal taste. That was an incredible review/analysis/reaction of this video - when I stumbled on your channel seeing your reaction to Murder song, I knew I had to watch your other Aurora reactions, and this was the video I was the most excited to get your take on. Incredible to learn how you see the art form in this! Now I really can't wait for you to react to her video for 'The Seed' - that one is the most powerful video of hers in my opinion.
Given the artists you have reacted to, I think you'd enjoy Angelina Jordan as another one to try, a young Norwegian (like Aurora) singer. The one video that is always a fun place to start with her is her studio video in black and white of 'I put a spell on you' done at the ripe age of 9 - But she has some cool videos of her original songs that are more recent (7th Heaven, Million Miles) and a neat cover of Michael Jacksons 'Billy Jean' shot in a really cool way (that I'd love to learn from you the take on the video work)
So glad I came across your channel! (And yes, do check out Aurora live, her performances from a total art perfection doesn't get better than her concert at Nidarosdomen (an old Cathedral in Norway) - you can't go wrong with any of the songs there, and its masterfully produced from a visual perspective.

Great reaction. I agree that watching Aurora live is a must. Even her live performances can be so different from each other it's hard to know where to start but you will see her KEXP, Nidarostomen and Live at The Current performances recommended a lot for good reason.
To see her really express herself via her performance you can't go wrong with Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) from the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Or her performing It Happened Quiet live at The Current

She is genuine in everything she does and it’s in her head most of it- like she said… it comes down on the top of her head… and if she can’t do it like she wants, she is going to quit. Thank you for great reactions!
Aurora, certainly among the best, versatile and interesting artists alive in my humble totally uneducated opinion.:-) If you go through her tunes she will surprise you again and again. Live performances are just incredible. Best productions are probably the Haik concert (starts with a sort of documentary where the host arranges varies activities for Auora ending in a magical concert in the forest where Aurora grew up) and Nidarosdomen (Cathedral). The performances will blow you away. Many describes her songs as a bit depressive; which is sort of true I guess, but I find the strangely uplifting and I always end up feeling revived, even after Mirder Song! To experience how versatileshe is try Lucky, the Seed, Daydreamer, Exist for Love and No Cure for me.

new subscriber.. working my way through your music reactions.
I really like your dissection of the filming/editing process.
Since you're in the business.. do you have any interest in reacting to actors that can sing?
I am just going to assume you are aware of Jensen Ackles.. did you know he's got pipes?.. even has a band with Steve Carlson now.. Radio Company. He went from almost too shy to sing on stage to.. controlling the room in about 4 years.
Most of the videos of him singing here on youtube are from conventions - one with Cory Taylor of slipknot singing Wanted Dead or Alive in Vegas.
My favorite is affectionately known as Ackle-Berry Blow. I like that version better than the Ed Sheeran OG video.
There are not many reaction videos of him.. those that do react to Jensen..end up with the Supernatural family descending on their channels.
