This song is about disconnecting from our plugged in lives and reconnecting with nature. This theme is more obvious in the music video.
Aurora sang a song for Elsie in Disney's Frozen.
She is hugely popular, very creative and has a lot of excellent songs.
    🎶🌹🔥💜🔥🌹🎶
One of my favorites is "Murder" The song is about a woman suffering a painful terminal illness and is "helped into death" by the husband that loves her. Aurora sings from the point of view of the wife feeling the trauma and love of her husband who is doing the difficult but right thing.
    🥰🥰Hugs from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

It was also used to accompany the opening and closing credits of BBC teen drama “Wolfblood” (for series 4 and 5) in 2016-17).

Nice reaction to my favourite artist, new subscriber here:)
This is a stripped down version of the song, I love the upbeat version and the mv is great. When it comes to live I prefer for example the one at the Somewhere else festival.
Aurora has had several songs in movies/series, like for example:
“Running with the wolves” in Wolfwalkers
“My sails are set” in One Piece
“Through the eyes of a child” in The 100
    “Runaway” in The following
    “Midas touch” in Hanna
“The secret garden” in The secret garden
“Hunting Shadows” in the game Assassins Creed
She was “the voice” in “Into the unknown” from Frozen 2
She’s also sings in most of the songs by Hans Zimmer in Frozen Planet 2
A perfect song for Halloween is Aurora with
“In Boxes” live at the Lowlands festival 2016
Aurora as a serial killer hiding the body parts underneath her bed lol
It was inspired by a woman who lived in Aurora’s neighbourhood that scared the children. She wasn’t dangerous or anything, but Aurora has a vivid imagination.
    Could you please react to
“Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen 2017
This is an important song for her

I second this POV. It is wonderfully refreshing when Aurora lets her band go hard. In Boxes is the perfect song for this weekend 👻and anything from Nidarosdomen is a masterpiece

Nice reaction, so glad you are going to continue your journey down the Aurora rabbit hole, she has a very large discography to explore. She is not your typical mainstream cookie cutter artist, she is my all time favorite artist, there is no one like her, IMO.

Just subscribed. You had me at "we're defiantly going to check her out some more". This loses something without the video for context. Video is also more energetic. One of the rare occasions where the video is better, she's mostly better live. She is quirky, funny and a beautiful spirit. When you get to know her you'll love her and become one of the "Warriors and Weirdos" as her fans are known.

I thought it was funny it would be apart of a movie something “Wolfy” cuz it was included in the beautiful animated movie “wolf walkers” and its kind of a slightly different version I guess to match the movie - that’s where I first heard this song and of Aurora lol You should check that out~

Great reaction, guys! Subscribed in the hopes to see more of Aurora on your channel.
It's interesting that you said it could be part of a soundtrack. She actually adapted the song for a pivotal scene in the animated movie "Wolfwalkers."

    Aurora is my favorite artist.
She has very unique style but I guess Art Pop fits as she is very artistic. Beautiful voice, great songs written by her and many many great songs already (actually hard or impossible is to find not good song from her with emphasis on great :) ). Maybe it is not exactly Halloween song but it has this "Trick or treat, what would it be?" part + it is close enough with vibes (especially this cool live session) :). And this song was not made for movie but it was used in TV series :).
The song is about breaking free from the chains of civilization/technology and be more free and spend more time with nature etc. BTW: album version of the song has different arrangement (but I love this live session arrangement!), the official video is also very cool and fits to the meaning (it has many symbolisms supporting meaning of the song).
    Thx for a reaction!

I do know that this song made an appearance in an episode of the teen wolf tv series. It also was the theme for at least the last two seasons of a uk show wolfblood.

There Are much better songs, as far as an introduction. Murder song and runaway both at the novel piece prize, and about a dozen others. She has a unique writing ability, and has a very good unique voice, and outlook on life. She is a one of a kind artist.

Welcome to a better world, the world with Aurora in it 😊
Very unique request, I have never seen it requested 😃, but nice "special version" of the song. A bit slower 😊
Please check out Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen concert, it is pure magic!

Comment for the CZcams algorithm :) I see you've been found by the Warriors and Weirdos, more should flock in soon (we do love some good Aurora reactions lol). As others have already said, this might not have been the "best" intro to Aurora, but it's really hard to find a "bad" start with her music. Perhaps take from your viewers suggestions with links to videos to get some of the most impactful music she has gifted the world.
For official music videos, I'd suggest The Seed, Cure for Me, Queendom, Heathens and Exhale Inhale.
For live, well this is harder because wow, she is something else live but I'll try to pin it down to a few absolute favourites: Runaway and Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert (very early Aurora, aged 19), Through the Eyes of a Child at Nidarosdomen (spelling?) (2016), It Happened Quiet at the Current, All is Soft Inside and Churchyard at KEXP (can't go wrong with that whole show, high energy there). Then there's the stripped live versions of her most popular songs (which this one was) beautiful examples being Heathens and Exhale Inhale already mentioned above. Lastly (because this is getting LONG), for a rawer, poppier, harder side of Aurora try her official mv for Apple Tree...it's....different and I love it (and thinking now it might be a good one for Halloween with all the...uhh...well, you'll see :).
Nice first reaction to Aurora. Keep em coming! Subbed so I don't miss out on more.
With love, a proud W&W from Canada.

o That just hit #1 around three days ago.
