Another great song from Aurora, the video content was completely unexpected. She seems to be known for her arkward body movements, but I actually really like seeing her express what she is feeling and her songwriting/storytelling is top notch! Another unique artist here!

I tend to agree. Though I think Warrior is also the root of her too... hence Warriors & Weirdos fanbase name. But I think every one of Aurora's song comes straight from her core or her soul. It's never superficial. :)

Although everyone says go for the live stuff and I agree she is astounding live but I think watching the studio versions first gives you a better appreciation of how good the live performances actually are, if that make sense 😁 runaway next definitely
Agree. I am usually one of those who say live but yours is a good approach in someone’s Aurora journey. Some reactors feel that they only need to react to a song once. It is up to us to explain that the same song can be different from performance to performance. In the last 24 hours there was a reactor that did listened to the studio then did another reaction of the live version. He loved it.

Though I must admit I haven't listened to much of her studio recorded material. I was first introduced to her through a recorded live performance and continued that way. I have been hooked ever since (3 years ago). So
The problem with that approach is that you will miss some of the best performances if you are reacting to them. As long as you are willing to re-react to the live performance then go for it. As far as Aurora, I am pleased to watch almost any reaction whether it's one song or the same song done live or in "studio". There are better versions of this song right here done live. Unless you re-react to it you'll never know. All that said, one my favorite songs is the studio version of "Exists for Love".
Aurora is the complete performer, with movements, eyes, her Soul and unique vocals into one package. And you listen to her stories and believe every word brought to you by her voice.
she also choreographs and comes up with the ideas of her videos, she is a true tour de force
Through the eyes of a child Nidarosdomen live is amazing.
Some of her videos has really strong visual message, most times going with live versions is good but there are some songs i would recommend doing the official music videos just because of the visual message, the likes of The Seed, Apple Tree, Winter Bird, Exist for Love,Queendom are those who come to mind. With Runaway i would go with the Nobel Peace Prize live, the video is good but it tends to be blocked in some countries.

The song speaks again directly from her soul. Away from material and society, back to nature. Away from the constraints and rules of society, back to wildness and informality. No longer submitting to the will of others, instead being who you are. The cables are the material connection that is cut and the man stands for people who want to prevent her from being who she really is.

Try the Nidarosdomen Concert, it's so beautiful, the atmosphere and Aurora live are the best. Through the eyes of a child from Vevo is excellent, but you feel the version from Nidarosdomen more.
It’s all about the live performances with Aurora. When you do Runaway please do the live version also from 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert. I just recently discovered her as well. I’m obsessed!
If you take into concideration how much work she puts into her official videos, she is also a visual artist, so I would never advice anyone to skip these videos.

Whatever you do, do not react to the live version from The Nobel Peace Price concert ahead of the official video to Runaway. People should be ashamed to recommend that ahead of the official vidoe of that song.

You should definitely react to the HAIK concert (with subtitles) or maybe even the whole HAIK documentary, which is a surprise "dream day" centered on Aurora, her loves, her music and her fans. It ends in an exclusive concert in an exceptional place. Don't miss it.

When time comes, you must react to some of her covers. In a radio program she was presented with a challenge. Within 1 hour they should arrange and rehears God is a Woman by Ariana Grande and then perform it live on the radio show. She makes every cover almost better than the original. She Auroralizes them.

Welcome to the world of Aurora! I would recommend you to listen to her live performances. She is really something spesial live. The performance from her consert in Nidarosdomen is all a piece of art. I bet 10 norwegian kroner that the version of "Through the eyes of a child" from the cathetedral will make you cry! The song "Lucky" from the same consert she wrote when she was 9 years old! Greetings from Scotland! No, it's not too far to call Aurora unique because she is, without doubt! She's one of those artists (like Diana Ankudinova) who has a unique connection with nature and uses voice and her body language to express the emotions of the song properly. Completely different vocalists though, and I'm so glad about that! You're hopefully going to love your journey with Aurora as much as I have! Great reaction as always Sir! :)

Be aware that you will find at least 2 or 3 versions of each song, many more of some, often arranged totally different from the official videos, from pure acapella through acoustic duos, in studio with her band, to grand tv concerts with male choir - harp - church organ - strings ensemble to full philharmonic orchestra... Also there are loads of concert videos of her with band, from all over the planet.

Aurora is like a supernatural force... A vessel for and the avatar of, emotion. She is posotively enchanting. She takes you to another place and leaves you in a trance. There is no one like her and certainly no one as genuine and real.

Oh, other than "Runaway", you should check out "The Seed". Both these songs give you a good idea what Aurora is like, though there is a lot more to her than that.
AURORA - Live in Nidarosdomen is a fantastic live concert in a gorgeous venue. All her stuff is great but this concert is a must watch.

Finding Aurora is like finding Angelina, a wealth of material mostly her work, but a cover of Bowies Life on Mars is wonderful. Not as many videos as AJ but at a par. ( She also is from Norway} May I suggest you do It Happened Quiet next?
Runaway is great then check out The Seed that rocks. I would say check out the video's first and then do the live performances.
I was introduced to Aurora by the Wolfwalkers movie. This song is in that movie, though slightly redone. Highly recommend listening to that version as well in your off time. With the movie scene if you can, its very nice.
She is as vulnerable as finely spun glass and as strong as high carbon steel. Her art rips you apart and heals you at the same time. Who does that? She's a siren in the form of a wood nymph. Resistance is futile!

I love this young lady. Like about half her songs, love about a quarter . Her Acoustic performance of ...the seed....through her Vevo Channel is absolutely beautiful.
I have respect for her as an Artist. What she chose to sing about. I truly believe that my generation ( I'm 51) screwed up our Planet. Screwed up so many things. The Generation Aurora is from demands that change must happen. From Malala, Greta, and this young Lady....I have hope for my Grandson.

pretty much every AURORA song is unique to itself in an aurora type of way and she's one of the few artist where I can listen to every song that is hers and no hit skip. Every one of her originals is unique and special.
Aurora is fantastic! She is very conected with nature and express herself as a genuine being with no falsehood. You will understand if you see the documentary and concert Haik.

She wrote this, pretty close to everything she has sung she wrote or co-wrote.
You mentioned the chorus, some of her songs are her in totality mixed to vocalise everything you hear vocally, she also deviates from classic vibrato at times with a "vibrating of her vocal chords" if you listen for it it is quite different, she has reached down to C2, the highest note i have heard her sing is D6, she also has Silja Sol as a backup singer on many occasions, and yes her particular blend of genre is indeed unique.
However vocal Bliss is hearing Aurora sing in Norwegian, nothing else compares.^^
Her live version of Lucky from the 2020 Bergen show will have you in absolute tears.
Aurora wrote "Runaway" when she was 11, that still blows my mind. Definately worth your time (Aurora - Runaway (Live on the Honda Stage))

She is incredibly talented, writer, producer, singer, plays several instruments, at least partly directing videos, and surely has the ideas.
You can't go wrong with anything, but if you want to see her stripped down, Through the eyes of a child, Vevo, or It happened quiet, Live at the Current.
For the full experience (orchestra, choir etc) any song from Nidarosdomen consert. Any song from Haik concert. You get the picture 😉
Her core is her authenticity. There is nothing "label created" about her, she's almost defiantly herself.

Just wanted to give you a suggestion... many people here talk about how good her live performances are, and that is true, but she puts a lot of work into her official videos too. What do you think about a reaction with both in one video of the same song, like a double reaction of the same song? Could be an experiment....but I am not a reactor so maybe I am way off here.

My favourite live performance of Aurora is "It happened quiet" (live at the current). Always leaves me as an emotional mess, its just that beauitful.
Another recommendation would be the nordic song "Helvegen" sung by Wardruna and Aurora (the performance with the red stage) a very very powerful song that also hits me right at the core.

You should check out another Norwegian artist, Katrine with the band Kalandra. I'm an old metalhead and punk rocker and I love Aurora, pop music and all. There's something supremely genuine about her that is a rarity these days. She's wise beyond her 25 years, a kind spirit, and she's adorable. What's not to love?

“She’s at it again”. Yes, a unique voice. Here Aurora longs to escape her ties to the modern world and run freely with the wolves or woooolves as she howls. Too many good tracks from her that it’s hard to recommend what to see next. For something different again try her live performance of All is Soft Inside at KEXP, Iceland.

Every song different. When you know one she reinterprets it and it is different again.
The movements, I think, are her being uber sensuous. She has to feel herself moving, has to touch, to feel. She reminds me of seeing a small girl spotting a flower. She rushes to it, smells it, caresses it then flits on to the next experience. I think Aurora is still like that.
Aurora, Angelina and Billie some more ore less young ladies with outstanding talent
Winter Bird, Under the Water, Through the eyes of a child and Warrior are some of her older songs that i really recommend. Among others ofc, but thought i'd keep the list short as all those 4 songs are completely different and will show some of her range as an artist.
Aurora's music is frequently inspired by nature. She told The Sun: "'Running With The Wolves' is about freedom and joining nature again, getting away from phones and radio and all the stuff we keep around us."
Aurora wrote the song during the blood moon in 2014. She told The 405: "I just imagined the moon turning all the people around the world into wild animals, running away from all the rules, all the materialism and technology. Just being a part of nature again, running free."
