Running with them, joining them - the instinct taking over, giving you freedom and making you forget about your human self and all things we humans keep around us in the modern society. I think humans need to let go a bit more, shake their bodies more often, like the animals do.. It's a beautiful thing really.
Sometimes when you look at the world, and you see what we've done to it, the way many of us hurt the world we live in, innocent animals, even our own kind! And that kind of makes you want to follow the wolves instead. At least for one night."

Ah this song will always be a favorite of mine, it was the very FIRST Aurora song I ever heard. I've never looked back since then, she is one of my most favorite artists! I don't know if its been suggested before but if it hasn't you should check out " Soft Universe" its part of the Infections Of A Different Kind album. Every form of that song is absolutely beautiful but I especially like her performance of it in her Nidarosdomen concert, its a different kind of magic!

This song was the first one that I heard of her. And even though it was a cover version by another artist I've fallen in love with it instantly. From that point on i went on binge to watch whatever she had in store and with each song and each interview I loved her and her art all the more.
And even though I dearly love all of her songs this one will always have a spacial place in my heart as the one that introduced me to that amazing person that she is.
So thank you for reacting to it. Today just become a lot better because of you.

This was the second song I heard of her. When I heard this song in a TV show I wanted to hear the full thing and discovered all her great music. I also learnt that she was the voice behind the first one I heard: Half the World Away in the 2015 John Lewis ad. It's not my favourite song of hers anymore, but it still holds the memories of my early days with her music. Glad you liked it too :)
One of my favs, very sci fi. I can see this as a movie, the man chasing her actually trying to save her because she will die. But the freedom is more important than life.

My favorite version of this song is from the somewhere else festival. It just has so much raw power. So if you want to see Aurora screaming that song with everything she's got you should check it out.

Fun fact and not very relevant but curious: every time she runs in her videos, this and The River, she seems to have a law of gravity of her own, she runs with a lightness that I have never seen in anyone else. Each time I can't help noticing it.
She is obviously athletic and in good physical trim, which you also can see when she is dancing.

Wonderful reaction - thank you! I love that video. Speaking of her acting ability, she did a fantastic acting job in the short film made in Brazil (when she was there) of her singing and acting Scarborough Fair. It was made for a Brazilian soap opera! When I saw the video, I had no idea it was a green screen production! Here is both the finished product and the behind the scenes (which made me appreciate her acting ability even more). The behind the scenes is in Portuguese, but you can put the cc in English - not that google auto-translate does that good a job. :D

You could record a reaction to the full festival or only aurora idk, she said she's going to perform a song that we alwaays like always ask her to perform but she never did. She didn't said the name of It but I can tell you Its definitely Soulless Creatures or Dance On The Moon, most problably to be soulless Creatures. I'm so excited, Its one of my favorites 💞🌿

Btw- she is french- Norwegian, in myinterpretation that means French temperature and Norwegian sensitivity , the result is anyway fantastic. Recomendations? In Bottles and In Boxes. Animal and Hunger. If you want more early songs from her, Awakenin, Puppet or Silhouettes are great. And of course, her version of Into the Unknown, which she makes her own again. If we are talking covers, her beautifull covers of Scarborough Fair and Leonard Cohens Famous Blue raincoat are a must, alongside In The Night.

I've really grown to love Aurora over the last six months or so, didn't know about her before even though she's from our neighbouring country Norway. I would love for you to check out Ionnalee (real name Jonna Lee), my favourite artist here in Sweden. She's done some visually stunning videos too, both solo and with her band Iamamiwhoami. And it made me wonder if it's because you found the song boring.
Because, and I feel weird even saying this, I honestly find this song utterly boring and honestly kinda bad. Which is why it's so funny to me that it was so commercially _huge_ for Aurora. Good for her...but man, sometimes the listening public makes some weird choices.
Songs like Soulless Creatures, A Different Kind of Human, All is Soft Inside, I Went Too Far, Apple Tree, The River, Forgotten Love, Winter Bird, Lucky, Under Stars.....I could go on.....were SO life changing for me....that a song like this honestly just feels kinda flat. Same goes for Conquerer and even Runaway. I mean, they are objectively good songs....I get that, I can hear that. But they do next to nothing for me.
So I secretly always smile a bit inside whenever Aurora herself more or less expresses the same thing. I think she's right. Her most popular tracks in no way represent the full force of her talent and creativity.
But man.....the melody/hook in the chorus to this song is just so hilariously boring to me lol. Oh well, it's honestly amusing to know even Aurora isn't perfect.

I actually quite like the verses. Quite a bit in fact.
