  • Honda fit front preload adjustment to a lot of their bikes, it is really really useful - find out why.

Great video, a big help for me- nice simple explanation in a field prone to complexity chaos and confusion adjusting for tyre wear is Moto GP stuff 😂

The Honda CB1100 is my favourite motorbike and in that red.

It’s a brilliant bike, not particularly versatile but then it was never meant to be all things. Just a great looking high quality roadster.

Assuming the 2014 cb1100 has the same front end that was most helpful, thanks 😊

Thanks. It has a different front end but is preload adjustable so the same applies in terms of tuning that handling. 👍

Awesome vid and I have this in red and a 2017. Where can I buy that rear luggage tail rack? I have the other luggage rack but love the one you have

Thankyou! The rear luggage rack is by Fehling. Along with my engine bars and pannier racks, it's nice kit. See www.fehling.de/en/product-category/motorcycle-brands/honda-en/

There is more fine tuning possible. You might change the viscosity of the oil or even use a thicker or thinner oil. Look at Cst at 40° for the oil you use.

Oh yes. I was trying to avoid getting distracted on the damping side of things and focus purely on preload and how it changed the bikes geometry/steering. For a fixed damped bike my EX isn’t too bad.

Hi Terence, where did you buy that back luggage rack? Thank you

Very well said. Honda is absolutely wrong in their manual. It does not get harder or softer. It hangs higher or lower in the spring. The spring only compresses under weight.
