No mention of Camavinga?! Dude drove forward to set up the first goal.

Nacho was terrific in defence as well, what a massive performance by him as well.

    Football heritage... is real.
It is not about some sort of magic, it is the attitude of the club, the kind of training that proves to be successful for a club, the mentality on each level of the institution, the kind of transfers made, the type of manager they look for, the day to day conversation on training, the day to day motivation, the fans being used to pain and gain... it is all the minor things that competition after competition after competition add up to traditions and a set of beliefs of a club.
It is not magic, it is a cause and effect relation based on the aggregation of so many stuff that might be invisible to a lot of people.
Money is not enough. Real Madrid charged the three most expensive clubs currently (including one with history).
It is no coincidence, it is football heritage.

      It is all these things,
      But its also simply luck.
Real Madrid are all these things you mentioned and what they achieved is amazing, but the truth is also that without Lady luck on their Site, they wouldnt have made it to the Final.
If madrid play this Exact Champions league campaign 10 times,
They get knocked out by Paris 4 times, Chelsea is their end 3 times, they make it Till City 2 times and in 1 very unlikely case all winds are on their side and they reach the final.
Im not saying they only made it this far because of luck, of course not.

Rodrygo is (rightfully) getting much of the limelight but once again, how important was Camavinga? I said it here after the Chelsea match i believe, this lad is amazing. He was instrumental once again in wrestling control from City. His passing, carries, cleaning up... He was out of this world. 4 tackles in just 46 minutes of gametime is absurd. Every time City got the ball and looked like they would become dangerous Eddy was there to clean up the mess. Not only that but he was so important in possession as well. Having great composure and awareness to provide a good pass to Benz on the side to open things up and Benz being able to provide the assist and later a strong progressive carry covering half the pitch followed by a pass wide to Carvajal which led to the penalty. This boy is worldclass and should be starting instead of Kroos.

Both games against Paris, both against City and home against Chelsea he was below par and the game never went Madrids way while he was on the pitch. Only after Camavinga or Valverde coming on in his stead did Madrid look like a better side than their opponents.

You can give fault to ancelotti not phasing him out sooner but at the same time we're where we are with him playing so taking him out in the final is probably the most harmful thing you can do right now. It's more than stats and performances now man taking an action like that will cause such an imbalance to the squad. Also what happens to camavinga's career if he's the one to bench Kroos and he has a nightmare? Understandable for a teenager to struggle but tell madrid fans that. Football heritage = club where I want to end my career, even if I get paid less than I could at other teams. Teamplayers become close friends. Knowing all positions and taking a colleague's position is the normal thing to do.
Money Money Clubs = they are nuts to pay me this much. In x years, I'll have made y amount of money. Teamplayers become collegues that come and go. This is the system, this is my position, this is what I need to be good at. Where are player x and y? What am I supposed to do with the ball now?
Teams like PSG, Chelsea and City implode when more attacking or defending flexibility is demanded. City changed captains 3 times. A real leader and captain plays 90 minutes, each and every game. Every single player is supposed to listen to him, like it or not. If everyone can be a captain... Well. Things you'll never see at PSG, Chelsea and City is a revenge tackle like Valverde did, possibly ruining his chances for a final. Heritage or not makes a huge difference. Teams like PSG and City should build a team, not buy a team or play a system. PSG is the ultimate example that a Champion's League isn't won with money alone.
