  • Despite constant setbacks, Carlo Ancelotti has had a very impressive season with Real Madrid, a season that very few managers would be able to replicate in the given circumstances. Mind you, he can’t seem to figure out a way to defeat Atletico Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano.
With Benzema leaving Real Madrid in the summer, Courtois and Militão tearing their ACL in the summer, plus Vinicius, Alaba, Tchouaméni, Camavinga and more all out injured - many at the same time - it hasn’t exactly been an easy season for Ancelotti. But, through it all, besides those pesky neighbours ending their Copa del Rey, he has managed to keep Real Madrid in great standing in each competition. And now, Real Madrid have defeated Manchester City!

    - Militao ACL
    - Alaba ACL
    - Courtois ACL
    - Vini already had 2 injuries in 1st half of the season
    - Benzema left
    - No number 9
    - Changed to totally new formation due to lack of players
    - playing Carvajal and Mendy as fullback, most of people labelled them as finished last season
    - Playing Kepa as the GK who is 2nd choice goalkeeper for Chelsea who are at 10th position in PL
Despite all of this, put strong performance in UCL till now, lead the Laliga and make people think about potential Treble
Well, we are more than satisfied and happy with this great team, no matter what happens in rest of the season
Once injured players are back, once we sign some required players like RB, LB and striker. This team will surely gonna improve even more

I’m a Barça fan and I was telling this to my other friends who are Barça fans a couple of weeks ago. What Carletto has done and is doing this season with this injury-riddled squad is nothing short of unbelievable. If the team underperformed he’d have totally valid excuses, Benzema left, Militao, Alaba and Courtois are out for the season, Vinicius went through a long injury, and so on and so forth, but instead they’re playing as if nothing has happened. Carlo deserves major props

People seem to always rule out Ancelotti from the goat manager debate because he is not a "great tactician" apparently lol
Many managers with the amount of injuries Real Madrid has had will fail and start giving silly excuses. 30+ injuries recorded and still going for the league and UCL and already won a trophy, the Supercopa.

Ancelotti just seems like the ultimate “flexible” manager. Where big name Managers come with THEIR scheme and THEIR tempo and THEIR style of play regardless of personnel, Carlo seems like the complete opposite. He makes decisions based what he has available players-wise and has them playing a system best created with all their strengths in tow.
One of the biggest question marks regarding this season for Real was how their offensive goal scoring was going to be due to the lack of a true #9 and what Carlo did was make multiple different options on the frontline whether it choosing to run Vini and Rodrygo as pseudo co-#9’s as RF’s and LF’s in a 4-4-2 or Getting Joselu in to revert to the more tried and true 4-3-3, he always finds a way to make a scheme with the personnel he has that can be competitive
Also he just seems to have an eye for ideas that can make players better. Combine that with Belli’s remarkable season due to him changing to more of a CAM (Also an Ancelotti idea)
As well as him not being one of the big CHARACTERS manager-wise always keeping a level head and cool demeanor (Besides when the people’s eyebrow comes to life😂)
And yea. This man is surprisingly remarkable as a Manager. Easily a top 2 manager consistently rn in the world fighting with Pep for the top spot

I’m not a Madrid fan (or a PSG, Bayern, Everton, et al fan), but Ancelotti has to be considered among the greatest managers ever. Has won the most UCLs, breaking Pasley’s record. Won a title in each of the 5 leagues.
And if you doubt his strategical and tactical mind, look at the Bellingham transformation. The guy was a hard working 8 two years ago. A talented 8, with a bright future, yes. But still, a guy who’d progress the ball, provide some incisive passes, counter press (all important duties) and end up with 1 goal and 4 assists at the end of the season. At a flip of a switch he’s among the greatest finishers in the game. *Nobody* saw that coming.

I just don’t get why’d you bring Mbappe into this team. His best position is the Vini role, and I’d say the net difference between the pair isn’t worth the price tag. If I were Madrid I’d just buy a new leftback, and a more traditional striker like a Zirkzee or Thuram, somebody who can bag you a goal and facilitate play for the wingers around you. Maybe a right winger too, but the squad is set and apart from injuries Ancelotti can easily establish a dynasty there. Barca and Atleti have never looked weaker, and Madrid especially in midfield looked unbeatable. Great video as always Adrian.

Rodrygo finished the game in the 65th minute, but the majority of our top players didn't leave the pitch until the 80+ minutes. He shouldn’t have emptied the chamber by starting both Rodrygo + vini. Had he started brahim instead of vini, he could've gotten 60 great minutes from both of em with subs. Barca's only hope with their financial situation is to win trophies annually. And we gifted them a free one with this. Winning 4 copas in 35 years is a disgrace

Even with all he has done, I still want him to leave, because I compare every version of madrid to 2012 madrid, what he did last season where his plan was pass the ball to vini, it was disgusting to watch, especially when vini was getting provoked by anything making the whole tactic useless, even then he wasn't using vini runs efficiently where others support him by overloading the box, maybe 1 or 2 players inside where as the others are chilling at the back, it annoyed me, it's not like we had a bad team, even when we won the champions I was happy but still wanted him to leave because how could realmadrid be the underdog every match and see them play shit for 80 mins then a spike at the last 10 mins, not good for my heart 😅😅, he's knows how to handle players, this season he's actually telling players to be more present in the box, he's way better this season but him benching Diaz and not promoting any youth defenders with all these injuries and barely giving arda any minutes means he's still the same couch but a little better, love him but he should still leave, damn i wrote alot 😂, feels good to vent

Hey, we do not know each other but I would like to tell u that despite all the bad that you have done in your life, GOD still loves you and wants you to be with him (GOD), all yoi must do is to trust in Jesus like how he would trust in parachute when jumping out of a plane and you must be willing to turn from your wrong doings and do what is right😊😊😊😊

the absence of vini which made rodrygo and brahim diaz partnered is not talked about enough. MADRID WAS COOKING during vini's absence. not saying vini is a bad player btw.

Why doesn't he get players though...he doesn't buy anyone...no defenders no strikers and overreliance on old midfielders
    This is how teams decline

Not really. He isn’t doing a coaching madness. Look at the last game. Madrid pay refs for W’s & Draws. It’s annoying
