  • @Varga3344
    @Varga3344 Před 2 lety +638

    Their entire argument was “if this didn’t happen and if that happened”. Well guess what, if Benzema scored that header at 3rd minute and if Vinicius scored his wide open goal chance at the 45 minute of 2nd half we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Then he comments about Camavinga’s throw ball to benzema and compare it to a sunday league sequence, does he remember how city scored their goals? Their first goal was from a cross, their 2nd was from a bad cross and a rookie mistake by Alaba, their 4th goal came after real madrid players froze thinking that it was a foul. If you wanna praise city fine be my guest but do not belittle or slander real madrid on your way because it is just pathetic. Football is played until the final whistle, if real madrid decides to start playing at 90th minute then that’s fine. It is not Real Madrid fault’s that City players shat their pants and crumbled like a cherry cobbler after the 1st goal. They should be thankful that Rodrygo didn’t score his hattrick right after the 2nd goal, Ederson gave them a shot into extra time. Let this be a lesson to entire Europe, DONT YOU EVER WRITE REAL MADRID OFF. APOR LA14.

      No team is as big as Real Madrid especially in UCL. I’m a Liverpool fan and also a big Madrid fan. It’s a win win situation for me but talking down or Real Madrid who beat PSG, Chelsea and Man City on their way to the final. Liverpool had easily ties compared to Madrid. For me Madrid have to be the favorites. I want Liverpool to win the quadruple but it is what it is.

    For City, quality and logic aside sometimes in life you need to be ruthless and take your chances and bury your enemy when they are weak.

They fought and took the game until the last instance, sure it wasn’t pretty but not many teams aside from Liverpool can stay alive against city in 90 mins let alone 180 mins. Even in penalty shootout, the forwards should be better than the defenders so you're always gonna be in trouble in that situation. Not to mention the momentum and crowd being with Madrid, they were always against it once that 2nd goal goes in.

Man City are strategic giants and a well drilled technical machine BECAUSE of that it takes them to the cusp of greatness BUT when they get there and get punched in the mouth they are forced to rely on things that you can't coach. I am a Barca fan.but respect to Madrid, the experienced guys in their team are preparing the new generation like Rodrigo, Camavinga, Valverde, vinicius all these guys, imparting all the years of experience of Kroos, Modric,Caswmiro, Benzema. These guys are turning these young players into mentality monsters as well that's the scary part. And it pisses me off that Camavinga, Valverde and vinicius if they win the CL would have won a league title and a CL before Pedri, Gavi and Fati, and maybe just like it happened in 2010s our youngsters will gain more experience and win CLs and league titles themselves and I am sure it will happen with Xavi, because Barca rightnow are not throwing money at players like pep is doing at city to think you can just buy your way and create a team like that 2011 Barcelona team which was mainly made up of talent but most importantly that team had a soul because most of the players are from the academy unlike this man City team.but man , and I don't think pep will win the CL with city. But man Madrid!! Come on man Camavinga is a player, he is a baller,and I love pedri and I think he is the heir to Iniesta like most people but Camavinga is definitely taking on the mantle from Modric and Kroos when they leave, he is a baller and Valverde is quality as well.

The difference was when real Madrid needed the goal they got two in dying minutes of game but city were seen very unlikely to get a goal when they were behind

  • @Ryan_Wayne
    @Ryan_Wayne Před 2 lety +94

    I actually think that City was playable for most part of the game yesterday. Their biggest chances came after the first goal when Real had to open up and they were very vulnerable at the back. But up to that point, it wasn't a game where City were that much superior, they probably have been a little more dangerous, but Real had their chances too. Even though they didn't have a shot on goal, they had chances, I mean for example Vinicius missed an open goal for christ sake.
    So it was a surprisingly even game up into the first goal, after the first goal City dominated for 15 minutes but like guys said, they didn't bury Real and after the first Rodrygo goal that came from nowhere, the magic happened once again at Bernabeu. There are many things to improve in Real's game, but they certainly have a very unique fighting spirit and ability to rise up in moments in which you think they are already finished. Maybe it's not logical that they are in the final, but it's definitely not a coincidence.

      True. The narrative that City had control in this match is false. They were superior, greatly in the first leg and marginally in the second, but they also were very fragile at the back and didn't take the sting out of the game on any of the FOUR (!) occasions they had a two goals lead. They have a mental fragility in this competition which is hard to explain.

    • @Ryan_Wayne
      @Ryan_Wayne Před 2 lety

      @@MrMacbridemax I agree, City had as many oportunities to bury Real as you could ask for in UCL semifinal, but they also were vulnerable. People say Real took all their chances, but that's not really true, they missed a few too, but in the end they were just more clinical in those crucial moments.
      First 70 minutes of second leg I was thinking that yes, City are slightly better in this game, but Real is also not playing badly and can win this game. Of course, after the first goal everything has changed, but they managed to come back from the dead anyway and Rodrygo almost completed hattrick in three minutes, which would be even more hilarious than as it is.

    As a RM fan it’s so frustrating that every achievement of Real Madrid is downplayed year after year. You are looking back at one of the best teams/squads in history winning 3 champions leagues back to back, 4 in 5 years and all you hear from supporters and pundits is “yeah but they had Ronaldo” now we don’t have Ronaldo have to go though monsters of teams to get to the final and are still criticized… take Liverpool as an example Kloop is view as a genius to go though inter (that sold 150 million worth of star players the summer) benfica (who lets be honest aren’t the strongest team) and Villarreal a team which is 7. in its league

      I’ll be honest, as a Chelsea fan, if you win this year it’s probably one of the greatest UCL runs ever. Especially because you would’ve beaten the 4 betting favourites to win the UCL this year.
      Besides that, when City scored yesterday and everyone was thinking it was dusted, really just had to remind people that we scored at the same time against you and still lost. You guys are really just different and it makes no sense at all.

    Can always count on Stevie to be so incredibly pro-premier league clubs when speaking about UCL. Perhaps the "never give up / till the dying minutes" mentality that Real Madrid have had for almost a decade is what actually makes them a better team than the likes of City and not just go on the biased-based notion of how they look on paper in a head to head comparison by player v player. Sheesh.
