OMG, Sid Lowe has by far the most clear, reasonable and on point comment that I've heard. Real Madrid is definitely an underdog in the final, but that does not really matter. All that matter is that magic moment. The longer Real Madrid can withstand Liverpool's overwhelming attack, the more likely this moment will come, and I sincerely hope it will come. In that case, it would be a perfect season for a lifelong Madrid fan.

If anyone goes back and watch the second leg the game was very even. Of course we know how city like to play and dominate possession but at the end of the first half Madrid had 55 percent possession and even pep said they didn’t play well in the first half. The second half obviously Madrid had to go for it knowing they were behind hence the chances that city created but as they say no risk no reward and Madrid came out untop and were clear winners.

Good comments there, congrats, but let me add a couple of things from inside:
    1) The fans storming La Cibeles is also explained by the time we could not go due to COVID, El Madrid only celebrates titles, but it's been too much time without fans on the stadium, without being able to celebrate, we really missed it.
    2) We know Liverpool will be a tougher team, ppl talk about the history of a club and thinks it's not something tangible , but it is, when you come to this club you are constantly reminded veteran players, legends of this sport, of what it means, how they won their titles and how the ones before them did it, you see the trophies and the stories on the walls, and are constantly reminded of that "fight until the end", "never give up mentality", in the end it sticks with you and you end up believing that if Real Madrid has signed you it's because they have seen you also can do that, and it turns out to be true. PSG and City doesn't have that , we knew it and they crumbled indeed, but Liverpool has it to some extent, so it will be a tougher game. But as someone (i don't remember who) said, "Las finales no se juegan, se ganan" (finals are not played, you win them)

  • @Verhen_n

Salah, Mane want to go Real Madrid as final destination, Benzema and Vini don't want to step back and come to a level lower at Liverpool so how is Real Madrid an underdog? These are 2 fantastic teams, no question, one of them will win and one will loose. But no team is underdog now.

Real Madrid are a team that know how to do more damage than teams that have more possession or chances. They can harm you & humiliate you in 2min, 5min or 30min... while other teams need 90min, 180 min or w/e.
Pundits don't get this cause they're brainwashed by Pep's offensive style & Klopp as well... Real Madrid that won the 3 CL in a row were like this, if there was a graph line... peak Barca had absolute possession, chance creation & they could score(way better than current Pep Man C)... yet, Real Madrid were like hunter waiting for the right moment to bite by reaching at immeasurable levels of performance. It's like a predator waiting & enduring till the suddenly go at max speed, they perfected that.
I never understood pundits downplaying Real Madrid or never giving them a chance when they never really cared for dominating teams, only if teams are way weaker than them they try to dominate or if they are destroyed. Which is the better team, a team that needs to 180 minutes to score 5 goals or a team that can score 6 goals in 10 minutes?
