What Atléti had wasn't a dip, it was a freakin' collapse.
In the first half of the season they had 50 points. In the second half they collected 27! That's almost relegation form right there.

Edit: Atlético's 27 points from 16 games is an average of 1,6875 points per game. This form would give Atlético 59 points from 35 games which would put Atlético in 4th place.

I think Atleti have one hand on the title providing they beat Sociedad. 12th placed Osasuna & 17th placed Valladolid should be a wrap for them but then again, who would make a definitive prediction with any certainty in this topsy-turvy season? The ball is well in Atleti's court. I would be astonished if they managed to throw it away in the last two games if they beat Sociedad.
Valladolid are fighting for relegation, it would be a very tough game believe me, they'll fight in the match and they have a really good team, Barca barely won them 1-0 at camp nou in the 93 min

Knocking Bayern off the top of the table will be next to impossible with the kind of squad they have. Juve , Barça and Real Madrid their reign collapsed because of bad decisions but Bayern's board never let the team go down even in transition periods.
Bayern management is too well organized from top to bottom. They might have a blip from time to time but they're never not dominant for long.
La Liga is still not really balanced. In the PL there's a gap of 14 points between 3rd and 10th. In La Liga that gap is 30 points. In la liga the gap between 4th and 5th is almost the same as the gap between 5th to 18th in that same league. It's not a two horse race this year. There are 4 teams and there's everyone else.

Finally a competitive season in La Liga, credit to Sevilla as well only 4 pts off from Barca and Real is an amazing effort.
LaLiga has been having a very high level of competitiveness these last 10 years. That Madrid or Barcelona will fight for the title has nothing to do with their competitiveness.
This year there have been some problems and even so there is another LaLiga team in a European final. 20 years and 15 European finals, incredible.

Typically la liga games have 3 mins stoppage time since the 5 subs rule. This game had 8 subs out of 10 and a lengthy VAR check for two penalty incident.
