He didn't even talk about the main suspects, the backline. Messi/Ney aren't your main problems of you concede 3 goals in 16 mins, the defence and midfielders are.
Second important thing is picking an inexperienxed Donnaruuma over a 3 time CL winner veteran in Keylor Navas, that too against a club he's very familar with.

I’ll be honest, at the end of the first half I was disappointed with how easy it was for Mbappe to keep finding space and running around the Madrid defense.
But as soon as Benz scored, I mean you could feel what that goal meant to the Madrid team.
The whole dynamic of the game shifted completely. And shout out to Anchelotti for getting the subs right. Rodrygo and camavinga stretched that psg squad really thin. It gave Modric the freedom to press.
Look, anyone that knows football predicted this win. PSG have the potential and the players to win this competition. But they are not a team. There is no leadership and there is no balance.
Sure they run circles around teams in Ligue 1, but it’s no coincidence that they always fall short in this stage.
It’s been 10 years since the start of this project. Since 2012 PSG have bought some of the best players in the world. Only to reach one final and lose.
I think it’s time to stop putting PSG at the table with the heavy hitters in European football.
It’s definitely a shameful day to be a Paris fan.

But the guy literally pressed on other instances of danger, especially when the team was out of sorts and he went to help Hakimi in the second half on 2 or 3 moments. So to imply he didn't care is wrong. He literally also calmed everyone down with his movements and passing and playmaking after Real Madrid's initial wave of attack from the first half to the moment of capitulation. He should've done differently when Real Madrid took over but where the problem lies is not the pressing on the half way line.

The loss against Liverpool. Suarez was somehow blamed. But Barca leaked 4 goals. Against Roma...same story. Now psg let in 3 and all of a sudden it's the forwards. Makes no sense. Also why are Messi and Neymar been held accountable to lead the team. What about the captain?

The strikers are getting blamed because they are the first line of defence. Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are never pressing, constantly walking, and don't track back, leaving PSG in 7man v 10man situation every attack. If you watched Benzema, Asensio and Vini they were tracking back and defending - that was the difference between winning and losing this game. I think the thing that fell apart the most for psg after the 60th minute was their backline. Ale mentioned how Messi and Neymar dissapeared and weren't dropping back to relieve madrids pressure like they had been earlier in the game, for me they were dropping back just as much as they were before, the only difference was that the backline seemingly couldn't pass to them without giving the ball up. Marquinhos, who I've often praised as one of the best CBs in the world had an absolute howler, and kimpembe and hakimi were essentially invisible in the second half, the problem for psg for me really started all the way back and i'm reluctant to criticise messi and neymar for not dropping back when they had nobody to pass them the ball when they did drop back (ney still had a ton of costly turnovers but im just adressing the "passivness" that people are complaining about).

So you all expect Messi at Age 34 to Run backwards for Mbape who is less than 28. You must be mad. Messi ran all his life even till today tackling Modric at Rb. He can't Run at over an Hour with such intensity and Age. The defenders, midfield should Foul Modric later ask Mascherano. And the Younger Forwards should be tracking back in Neymar who lost the ball and Mbape stepping up cos he has Ballon d'or to go after if he made an all round performance today. Shameless defensively from the upper middle and Neymar's end of the pitch defensively. Messi would sit deep and give u d ball for a Counter from the right not d left. Period. Messi even tracked back in decisive games even as a false 9 in barsa. False/force Mbape.

      Infact it was exactly opposite,
He didn't even talk about the main suspects, the backline. Messi/Ney aren't your main problems of you concede 3 goals in 16 mins, the defence and midfielders are.
Second important thing is picking an inexperienxed Donnaruuma over a 3 time CL winner veteran in Keylor Navas, that too against a club he's very familar with.
He is as clueless as it gets. He just tries to make some hipster statements to look cool.

This is called the textbook definition of bottling. It was as if PSG were desperate to go out of the competition. That last 30 min of giving away ball cheapely time after time and bottling is more criminal than a murder. Only PSG can do that.

I think it all adds up when you introduce into the equation the hunger that Modric still has at 36 years old compared to Messi's and Neymar's. Mbappe has the hunger, but he by himself does not carry a game of champions league.
