- Liverpool were embarrassed at Anfield as they conceded 5 goals consecutively against Real Madrid despite taking an early 2 - 0 lead. More issues for Liverpool, or just par for the course when they face Real Madrid? Elsewhere, City were held by Leipzig, while Napoli turned on the style against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Man city had a lot of possession but i'd say MOST of it was negative possession. Just having the ball doesn't mean goals, as the match clearly showed, RB leipzig looked more likely to score and get ahead in the 2nd half than city.
We may be going through something similar to Liverpool although a much less severe situation. Players aren’t motivated, teams have figured us out, and the manager has lost his touch and is making questionable decisions.

As a liverpool fan I was not looking forward to the game, I didn’t see us winning in the first place. The part that hurts is that those first 20 minutes gave most of us unexpected hope, and to choke a 2-0 lead at Anfield is really shocking. Harsh game to take, but needed reality check to those in the fan base that don’t want to accept we need a full rebuild, starting with cleaning some of the squad( likes of Oxlade, Keita, Jones, Firmino( 50/50 on this one tbh), Milner, Henderson, Gomez, Adrian, Matip( 50/50 on this one as well) and prob more that I cannot remember right now. The challenge that we face is the fact that FSG might prolong this rebuild with their transfer strategy and the team might be stuck in a rebuild for years to come

As ref myself, I wouldn't give that red card to Frankfurt's midfielder. It's disappointing to see colleagues give red cards every time studs connect with another player. There was no excessive force, I'd even be unsure of giving a yellow card in that occasion, but I guess that you could argue that he was a bit careless. Honestly I don't see it but I'd be ok with a yellow card
