Try "Holy shit they made a secretary bird a high-ranking secretary on a Japanese cartoon with a ton of social commentary...AND they implemented those kicks." Washimi from Aggretsuko, so OP.
This video has opened my eyes to other bird classes I want to try, I've usually stuck with the Australian classes since I know that server but seeing such cool classes in other servers makes me want to expand my gameplay
I love the secretary bird, it's such a unique build and easy to forget that it's a raptor. I watched nature documentaries and programs like Eyewitness as a kid, and in at least one of them they showed a secretary bird, and I thought "What a fearsome-looking lady that bird is!" I also played the Hugo games (the Danish troll) as a kid, one of them takes place in Africa, I don't remember if secretary birds were in it, but another interesting bird that was in the game was the, uh, marabou stork? A very big, very ugly-looking stork/vulture bird, with black topside, white underside and a fluffy white mane and bare-skinned head, I think a scavenger and a fearsome-looking one too. Also a not very well known bird, but one I learned about because of childhood video games. I think the African painted dog was also in the game, called "wild dogs" in the game, I think. I mostly love the secretary bird, both for its unique build, huge viability in flight, speed, accuracy and just walking around owning the place, but also because its design really does look like a secretary, with that haircut (feathercut?)! XD Makes it memorable!
When discussing vultures, you forgot about bearded vultures, who exchange the imperfect tank style for a weird niche build where they gain experience by scavenging what's left after the other animals have looted the carcass. Their unique Ossivore trait literally generates loot and experience from bones. Add to that an incredibly powerful build as one of the largest airworthy birds in existence and some beefy talons and you have a recipe for a class that no one else really wants to bother with because they lack normal loot pools and are just too much of a nuisance in combat to want to deal with for experience.
Oh, I love Secretary Birds! The best game I've ever played was with a Secretary Bird. One time, I was face-to-face with a deadly cobra, staring it down. We both sat there for what felt like forever, locked in mental combat; I had never been able to stand up against a cobra in any of my previous play-throughs on the server. It tried to bite me, but my scaly legs gave me defense against its venom attack, and it gave me a punish opportunity, and I nailed the stomp attack right on it and took it out. When my companion showed up, he almost couldn't believe what I had done (we were both new to the build then). He still plays as a secretary bird as his main to this very day.
Living things that have learned to use fire, in order. Eucalyptus Trees - 50mya in Gondwana (Australia). Humanoids - 164,000ya in Africa Raptors - 2018 in Australia. Australia.
I went to read up on those fire raptors because that seemed so amazing. Apparently the aboriginal people of Australia have known about this phenomenon for millennia, because of course they do, and celebrate these "karrkanji", or trickster birds, with ceremonial dances.
While it may sound rude, we can't really trust anything the aborigines say until we find out ourselves. Their stories are either experience or religion, and even both, their not a reliable source. We can sure trust them after we discover it ourselves, like you say, they've known about it for years, but taking their word for it beforehand could lead you to believe in billabong monsters that hunt like crocodiles but have the shape of wooly men. A plausible creature, but no evidence of them.
Evil Paragon 2 Sure, scientists shouldn't just take anything like that at face value. I'm just saying often among things like mythical creatures, we have missed for a long time real animals. Coeleanths, for example, were known about by the native people of such and such island, but were only discovered by modern science, to much hurrah, pretty recently by comparison. Word of the native shouldn't be taken as gospel, and neither should any anecdotal evidence; but it's a good starting point for research, especially if it's long standing.
I once watched a documentary about owls. I don't know if this part was about just one type of owl, or all owls, but it said that despite their insanely good hearing, owls are so quiet that they can't even hear the sound of their own flying. I don't know if that's true, but it sure sounds badass.
Well hes covered Geese and Swans in another video. Also im sure less people have been requesting other random bird types than the other topics hes covered like past metas and specific fan favorite builds like the Goat
I know this came out a while ago but I just wanna say, great video! I think you ranked everything perfectly. I've always been a huge fan of the Secretary Birds play style, and was very glad to see them placed in S tier. I do feel like owls have slightly better match ups against bats than they usually get credit for. Still B tier, however they are known to prey on bats. There is a player you may have overlooked. I know you are big on team strategies, and I was wondering if you've heard of the Harris Hawk. They are a very interesting build that is one of the only raptors known to have unlocked the Cooperation ability. This is getting a bit wordy, so I won't tell you everything about them, but if you haven't heard of them I'd highly recommend checking out the build.
It really isn't that fair to rank owls based on how well they do with bats; hawks, falcons, vultures, eagles, ospreys and secretary birds all have bad matchups too
TierZoo no idea if it is coming but my daughter loves watching the cockatoos, crows, galahs and magpies in our neighbourhood, I would love to see other in depth videos like this about the other bird options!
@TierZoo I know this might sound crazy, but you can make the tiers vertical to demonstrate what's for example high B tier vs low B tier. Anyways, HUGE FAN OF YOUR WORK!
TierZoo, you forgot to add your Patreon link/social media info to the video description! This small minmax misplay could cost you subscribers in the lategame :o Great video as always.
You forget that lategame subscriber growth is based more on fan loyalty than other factors, and as such, not plugging his other platforms in an obnoxious manner is actually a fairly smart conservative play, since by focusing on the quality of content without unnecessary plugs, you'll annoy your existing fans less with minimal growth dropoff.
Owls at daytime: *I sleep* Owls at night: *Real shit* I mean, all the other birds are amazing. But holyshit dude, the Owls are literally the kings of the night

Undrave if you think a video of rodents is the opposite of predation, you are quite wrong. The least predator build has to be a plant build, which I would LOVE to see a video on

Man I just discovered these videos today what a hoot. Thanks for the laughs bud!
This video has opened my eyes to other bird classes I want to try, I've usually stuck with the Australian classes since I know that server but seeing such cool classes in other servers makes me want to expand my gameplay
6:00 I had to go back and slow the video right down just to see that attack.
That was a bullet. Not a bird. Holy shit.
Should've edited in jet engine noises.
@xBirds And by frame 2 it had landed the hit, and the duck's neck had basically touched the ground from the impact, god damn.
@@Lewtable more than that, I think that Duck was actually Decapitated. The movement looks like Death Throes.

"The physics engine of the game". GENIUS.

"Eagles are only A-tier"
"Yeah, A as in AMERICA!!!!!!"
I love the secretary bird, it's such a unique build and easy to forget that it's a raptor.
I watched nature documentaries and programs like Eyewitness as a kid, and in at least one of them they showed a secretary bird, and I thought "What a fearsome-looking lady that bird is!"
I also played the Hugo games (the Danish troll) as a kid, one of them takes place in Africa, I don't remember if secretary birds were in it, but another interesting bird that was in the game was the, uh, marabou stork?
"make its grabs inescapable" game theory are ospreys actually just fucking ice climbers
Nah man, the osprey can move. That’s like if you could wobble DK’s cargo throw
DK climbers
ConSolo Wild IC hate, love it
The dislikes obviously came from nerfed previous builds.
Lol
There just to salty
When discussing vultures, you forgot about bearded vultures, who exchange the imperfect tank style for a weird niche build where they gain experience by scavenging what's left after the other animals have looted the carcass. Their unique Ossivore trait literally generates loot and experience from bones. Add to that an incredibly powerful build as one of the largest airworthy birds in existence and some beefy talons and you have a recipe for a class that no one else really wants to bother with because they lack normal loot pools and are just too much of a nuisance in combat to want to deal with for experience.
Content so good, you can rewatch it, we need more channels like you
Blessed be the day that I clicked in one of your videos its been a while since I liked a youtuber so much thank you.

This is the best video you made. I watch it ever so often I love it so much.
I just found this channel and from the first minute I know it’s my new favourite.
I'm a pangolin main and honestly hate Secretary birds just because of the matchup, walk on, bully on, and well... live your raptor life.
Aspen Ryder Ikr Secretary birds are so cool, and they're beautiful too

Oh my god, man! This is a freaking bullet, not a bird, it can't be. Nature is scary sometimes.
Pretty sure the peregrine can reach over half the speed of sound
S P E E D
the Saker Falcon (Falco Cherrug) can go up to 315 km/h
for reference, the speed of sound (in air) is 343 m/s or 1234,8 km/h.
That bird is going at mach 0.392
Yikes

Living things that have learned to use fire, in order.
Eucalyptus Trees - 50mya in Gondwana (Australia).
Humanoids - 164,000ya in Africa
Raptors - 2018 in Australia.
Australia.
Evil Paragon 2 pine trees, not sure how long ago, some use it to open cones and spread seeds.
I think it's most important that we take all information into consideration, but give more importance to that which is backed by empirical data.
Was thinking about this channel all day during my Zoology class and I come home from it to see you've uploaded. This is an S+ tier day.
Hunter - the prophecies have been fulfilled!!
Lmao was the same for me after revising for a biology exam tomorrow
I once watched a documentary about owls. I don't know if this part was about just one type of owl, or all owls, but it said that despite their insanely good hearing, owls are so quiet that they can't even hear the sound of their own flying. I don't know if that's true, but it sure sounds badass.
Love that bus driver track in the background.
You know he said that he would make more videos for the other bird classes.....
WELL WERE ARE THEY?
Well hes covered Geese and Swans in another video. Also im sure less people have been requesting other random bird types than the other topics hes covered like past metas and specific fan favorite builds like the Goat
@@typhoonhurricane18 true
Over there (points to bad idea pile)
typhoonhurricane18 I’d love to see a corvids tier list, the raven class is one of my favourite in the game.
Idk where they were
Holy moley the secratary bird is the coolest thing I think I've ever seen
It really isn't that fair to rank owls based on how well they do with bats; hawks, falcons, vultures, eagles, ospreys and secretary birds all have bad matchups too
I remember my first playthrough I was a beta tester so early on that I could only play as single cell organisms
Falcon: Omai wa, moe, shindieru.
Duck: Nani?
it's "omae wa mou shindeiru" you non-weeb :D

HE'S NOT WRONG TBF
TierZoo no idea if it is coming but my daughter loves watching the cockatoos, crows, galahs and magpies in our neighbourhood, I would love to see other in depth videos like this about the other bird options!
I really liked the attributes you put in the bottom left. I hope to see them again
As a biology student your channel is the best thing i ever found on youtube
*Googles Secretarybird*
Thank you dude. At least half of my knowledge on animals comes from you my guy. I appreciate you.
@TierZoo
I know this might sound crazy, but you can make the tiers vertical to demonstrate what's for example high B tier vs low B tier.
Anyways, HUGE FAN OF YOUR WORK!
TierZoo, you forgot to add your Patreon link/social media info to the video description! This small minmax misplay could cost you subscribers in the lategame :o
Great video as always.
How is having the links being in the description obnoxious? That's the one place they are completely fair game.
very nice analysis ! i m gonna keep that in mind when going this route too
You're probably my favorite educational creator on youtube, and one of my favorites anyways
Hey guys, VSauce here. What is... Betrayal?
Owls at daytime: *I sleep*
Owls at night: *Real shit*
I mean, all the other birds are amazing.
But holyshit dude, the Owls are literally the kings of the night
Owls never sleep, the only rest, they need to be somehow vigilant to avoid being hunted during the day. And some of them hunt during daytime too when the need rises. But for sure at night they are amazing!
Ok great song choice. Wasn’t that in like THUG? Man I loved that instrumental, you’re so great dude.
Side note, play some monster hunter, I don’t know if I’ve seen any monster hunter style scenes yet, they’d be so fitting.
man this has to be the cleverest educational channel ever
Secretary birds are pretty awesome looking too! I didn't realize they were actually raptors though. This is really cool. And those Australian fire starters are impressive.
I can't wait for the next bird video!
I still want a rodent tier list! You've been spending a lot of time on predators, let's see the other side!
Undrave if you think a video of rodents is the opposite of predation, you are quite wrong. The least predator build has to be a plant build, which I would LOVE to see a video on
I dont think Tier Zoo is that knowledgeable about the plant meta. But I know rodents can be agressive, they also have to consider predators a lot in their build.
Yesss! Another vote for the rodent tier list!
So the American Hawks are causing those California forest fires.
capybara for the win, should there be rodents
Cant get enough of these vids
I love the secretary bird
Not only is it extremely beautiful, it literally looks like the fucker is about to tell me I’m broke
But they are absolute beasts.
Beauty and power in one
I remember writing an essay on peregrines in a CZcams comment. Worth it.
Also, learning that hawks have started fires... **sees Talonflame** Game Freak you sly dogs.
