      @Qardo Před 6 lety +38

      Well, this is why they work in teams of four. One is the leader. One is the muscle. One is the brains (higher base intelligence). Then, the last one is the goofball and the one that gets yelled at for screwing up. Thus, they make up for any shortcomings with a high-level stuff. Thus, they have unmatched teamwork skills. Though if any are caught alone or even separated from the others. They can still hold their own for a short time. All to either run away or rescued by the others. And if they can't. Well, they are beaten down and either get a GAME OVER or captured. Generally captured by Human Players...as they are so weird and they want to learn how to boost their own stats to become better. Basically, cheat the game. Which is a big no-no and the Devs swing in and bitchslap them.
      Thus the Turtles are saved and go off realizing Humans are weak. Though it is better for them to run and hide and steal their delicious pizzas. As really Humans are useful for something. They did build the sewer networks the Turtles use. So cannot conquer or wipe them out. It is counterproductive and really screws the balance of the game. Even if the Human players are rather awful player. Yet even PKers have their uses still.

      TierZoo is differentiating armor from a full shell, however. Placoderm's plates would count as armor, but not as a shell. Similar to how an Ankylosaurus's armor is different than the shell of their niche's successors: the glyptodonts and the armadillos.

      All right I did some googling and I think there is a miscommunication. PLACODERMS, are animals like Duncleosteus, with a hard bony shell. They evolved around 430 Million years ago.
      PLACODONTS are marine reptiles without a shell, that lived in the Triassic Period.
      However, I was still wrong, because turtles only evolved in the Jurassic. I was thinking of Glypdodonts, which only evolved after the extinction of the dinosaurs.

    I feel like snapping turtles should be slightly higher, specifically the Alligator snapping turtle variant.
    They are typically larger and stronger than regular snapping turtles and this lets them take on some of the top builds in their server.
    They can bully even young adult alligators around and their weight class and tendency to stay underwater also means no bird is going to try and teach it to fly, or they'll be taught to dive.
    Only the big max level gators can stand their ground.

    I think your being a bit too hard on side neck builds. Their shells are stronger on average than cryptodirans and they are built to to negate their weaknesses. They can stay underwater for very long so they don't need to stay near the surface, and thus don't need to stay near to those who have a chance of harming them, waders. In large and deep bodies of water they are practically invincible. Fish player can't get their mouths around them and crustaceans players can't overpower them due to their size and speed, and when waders do manage to get them, they larger ones are to heavy to lift and can use their muscular necks to right themselves. They have free reign is large bodies of water and marshes and this has allowed them to be massively successful and as such are found on every server except Antarctica and North America due to absence of their preferred habitat and cold temperatures. Freshwater side necks out compete hidden necks in all habitats but small ponds and streams and North America. While on paper cryptodires have an advanatage , they other than the NA players(which have had room to experiment and try new things without side necks to compete with) can often be flipped and not be righted, and have smaller cloacal gills on average.
