Thanks to their higher intelligence stats, parrots have unlocked one of the rarest and most powerful abilities in the game, which is otherwise only available to a small number of other players.
That ability is the ability to say “Fuck”.
Saying “Fuck” allows the parrot to deal heavy psychological damage to its opponents, and boosts its intimidation by a massive percentage.

Keas have good PR in the forums but they're absolutely notorious with the devs in their server. Original attempts to gauge their balance level met with frustration because the players deliberately cheated on tests when they learned they were getting progressively more difficult. Another early-game quest involved a perspex box with six increasingly-complex solutions to gauge intelligence stat balance across avian builds, which Kea players immediately broke by finding a seventh and eighth solution.

For dedicated owners, they're great. For the average pet owner, parrots are some of the worst. Not enough socialization can cause them to go insane or develop psychological problems. Neglect is a common problem for house parrots. Then the long life makes the owner eventually give them up to a parrot sanctuary or something. Great familiars with a good human. But humans let them down too often to recommend

1:30-2:25 talks about how the flightless bird build gets bodied left and right from middle and even low tier builds.

Tierzoo is wrong about ratites being bodied by low-tier builds (he wrongly ranked cheetahs as low-tier due to failing to realize that cheetahs don’t actually lose that much XP to theft and don’t use that much energy either; pretty much everything that can take on an ostrich, emu or cassowary is a mid-to-high tier build).

He was a cockatiel, member of the cockatoo subgroup, specific designation Nymphicus hollandicus, and he definitely had the highest charisma stat of any animal build I've encountered before or since. He was essential in curing my depression debuff, and he was also incredible at talking to, grooming, and playing with his human flock. He got a game over in November of 2019 and I still miss him every day.

In my childhood, I had a friend that had a parrot. His mother was always yelling his name at him from downstairs in a very large and open house, so it echoed across the entirety of it. My friend would just shout back "WHAT?" to see if he's in trouble or if she's just checking in on him or calling him for breakfast/lunch/dinner or a favour.
The parrot started yelling "WHAT?" whenever my friend's name was spoke. His parents started using the nickname he had from school to address him for about a year to avoid the parrot yelling, and quit the yelling at their kid across a huge house to talk to eachother.

"A good top tier should be specced to thrive in one setting but can adapt to changes in the meta"
I find this interesting because most humans or horribly ill equiped to handle any biome except city. Throw a human without the proper wilderness survival perks or gear into the wrong server? And they game over in days or get rescued. In fact I'd argue that they are horrible at adapting to any biome other than city, but as a species have the unique combination of traits to simply build new biomes over pre existing ones.
A good top tier adapts to new environments
A great top tier literally builds their own.
